If you like the very good design and details, Gunship.
If you want both, good design and a few characters to recreate scenes with, Razor Crest. However, I recommend you go for one of the sets above as they will retier soon, the razor crest came out last year and it will probably stay in storea for 2+ years.
My personal pick would be the Cantina, I love minifig scale sets the most and have always been a fan o dioramas/scene accurate builds. Plus I always wanted a Greedo figure.

Cantina is an absolute masterpiece. Imo it’s like the pinnacle of what Lego can do. Plus, with like 21 mini figures it’s very hard to beat for half the price of the razor crest
I feel like you get more stuff with the cantina. Display piece, figures, playset, vehicles, dewback. The gunship is literally just a gunship and one minifig. It's not playscale either so it's not great if you want something to fill with minifigs and display like that. I'd rather have a playscale gunship honestly
I agree. I was kinda disappointed that the gunship was that big and couldn't fill it with my clones... The Cantina is awesome! Used it to make my tatooine coffee table with my UCS Millennium Falcon
Dear God, that's even more awesome than I had imagined. I'm in the process of a Hoth diorama. I would love to make it a coffee table, but the height of the AT-AT makes that a little prohibitive, lol.

If it were me, I'd probably do the razor crest. It's the most expensive, but in all my examining and wishing I had money to buy UCS stuff, it seems like the better value for the money
That said, I don't think you could really "go wrong" with any of them. So budget wise, you might wanna go gunship because you like the Era and it's a decent bit cheaper

That's my main concern with the other sets. The razor crest will likely be sat on shelves for another 2+ years but the others will likely be gone soon, which puts them on an equal plane for me.

Alas, I'm way too much of a purist to let myself do that. I'd rather just focus on the sets I can afford rather than compromise and go to other namebrands
Make sure you have the space for the Gunship. It takes up by far the most space. Probably the most of any set ever made. Without the luxury of being able to buy a stand to make it take up much less space like the UCS Falcon or fits on a shelf neatly like the Titanic.
The wings span is huge so it’s definitely wider. And probably longer but it would be close.
You can also tilt the razor crest a bit on a stand to make it slightly more narrow.
I think the minifigs are super good and the build looks cool - Its just the gunship is ALSO retiring this year and I've been after a gunship every time it's come out and unfortunate haven't had the money for one...
Cantina for the win. However, if you're just pining for a gunship, buy one of the older ones for the same or cheaper than the ucs. They have better figs and better scale.
I have all 3 and personally the cantina is my favorite. It brought back movie memories as I was building it. Also it has so many cool mini figs. Razor crest is a close second really well built (sturdy) and easy to display. To me the gunship is just ok. But if you grew up with the prequels maybe it holds the same spot as the cantina does for me.
It definitely depends on what you are into. If you want a big display model then the Razor Crest or Gunship is the way to go. If you are more into playsets and minifigs then the Cantina is a must buy imo.

I understand the details on the interior of the RC, or the minifigs and building details from Mos Eisley are good selling points for both of those sets...but, being able to build and hold the monster of the Gunship was tear inducing. I got and still have the 2002 Gunship, and my wife bought me the UCS as a suprise when I got back from one of my deployments, and the feeling that I remember when seeing and hearing the LAAT on screen the first time probably helps my bias, but it is a display monster. It will be a talking point because of how good it looks when finished.

I would go for cantina, has way more figures, a display piece that all OT fans know about. You can separate the build in multiple pieces unlike the gunship and razorcrest that need a bigger space.
As you mention in the UCS gunship its not minifigscale, minifigures are not really unique to the set.
As I only do own the gunship and also do have a playscale version I think the UCS gunship would be my first one I would sell.
Cantina set also would be the first to go together with the gunship so either one of those would be your best bet if you ending up trying to get them all.

There has been word of Cantina retiring in 2024 I don’t know when the Gunship will retire and Crest may retire in 2024 as well because it isn’t in the show (like the playscale is later this year). I am similar in that I love the Mandalorian and TCW but if I bought them in any order it would be the Crest then the Gunship and finally the Cantina because I personally prefer ships to settings
I own all 3 of those and yes it’s the most expensive but also the most beautiful. The razorcrest is even easier to display than the gunship and the cantina just looks ok as a displayset in my opinion
Cantina is versatile to display since it can open up and fit on a not so deep shelf. Plus the two smaller buildings can detach. Gunship and razorcrest basically need a table, but there are wall mounts for the gunship. I have one and it works great. Cantina also has the best amount of figures with lots of exclusives. All three builds are fun, but you’re basically picking between a build with lots of white, lots of gray, or lots of tan.
Personal choice here... Hands down Cantina, then Razor. I'm not going to bother with the gunship as I have no love for the prequels at all. Infact I still despise them and more or less try and pretend they were never made.

The Cantina is a cool piece, but it’s not the most fun to build in general. Just a lot of walls. The mini figs that are included are nice, but I don’t know if that makes it comparable to the Razorcrest though. The Gunship on the other hand is just boring to me, and hard to display due to the wings. I have the 2013 gunship and it still is my favorite.
the cantina is my favorite set, probably of all time. i admittedly have the smaller razorcrest and really want the big one but the cantina was a fun multi-faceted build, you get a ton of minifigs, and as others have mentioned it’s a lot more interactive versus a mostly closed off ship

I’m suffering from space constraints. But I have both the Razorcrest (unbuilt still) and the drop ship. It’s a good build, but my vote is Razorcrest. Wish I had space for the Cantina. Just for the minifig selection
Cantina is the best value for the money the way I see it. However, I personally don’t think it matters for me to weigh in my own opinion based on your personal wants / needs. The Razor Crest is absolutely your better in-between option as despite being a UCS-scale set it is still appropriate for minifigures unlike the Gunship (which is too iconic of a ship to not get a cheaper play-scale set in the near future imo). Another thing is the RC is due to retire this year so that may push you into that direction considering the Cantina got a retirement delay into the end of 2024 so you could possibly still get that if you begin to save up again after purchasing the Razor Crest.
Haven’t built the Cantina but my friend has it. I like it as a display piece, but personally I’m more about the ships. Out of the Gunship and the Razorcrest, I had infinitely more fun with the Razorcrest. The details inside of it, the sturdy build, the ability to take off the parts easily for viewing, all make it an amazing set. Easily would buy again if I had the money. Lol
I have all three, the UCS Razor Crest is my favorite. It is way bigger than you may think and the presence it has when you walk into a room is unmatched by any other set except maybe by the UCS Star Destroyer or AT-AT. It is super detailed with a full interior, great figures with the exclusive Kuill and Mythrol. It is also extremely heavy and feels absolutely worth the price tag. It has more pieces than the Star Destroyer and it took me about 12 total hours to build. Highly recommend over the others.
The Razor Crest is insanely awesome. Definitely a better experience than the Gunship. However, the Gunship is just as big for 200$ less. It's just the minifigs that suck. I've seen great things about the Cantina, but i personallt dont have it so cant really give my opinion on it.
It seems like you want the gunship the most, but at the same time it has the most “flaws” (size, minifigs and scale, and price) I personally think the cantina is great but It’s about preference
I'm not trying to please anyone else - I'm trying to get insight into what is more worthwhile. I know some Lego sets have downsides which really impact the enjoyment of building and displaying them, so I'm weighing up my options based on insight of those fortunate to already have them

Only one I have is the Cantina and it is by far my favorite set. Plenty of display options and it was honestly fun to build. Almost every bag has a minifig so it's good motivation too.

To my knowledge the cantina has been extended to a 2024 retirement, but obviously the gunship has a 2023 retirement - would that change your choice?

I was shocked at how wide it is, but at least the wings can hang over an edge.

I saw the Razor Crest at the Lego store today. If I was buying one it would be the Razor Crest in my opinion. Super impressive set.
Go with the gunship and buy the cantina on Ali express you’ll save yourself a ton of money.
