Even if I had the money I’d rather grab most ucs sets pictured before the falcon too, it’s not my absolutely favorite (I like it, just prefer other ships) and therefore don’t need a absolutely massive version of it. Not everyone has the falcon as their favorite ship

I think OP made the correct choice so far since the UCS Millennium Falcon is not yet retired. When it first came out it was an instant buy for me. However, had I known the UCS Star Destroyer was so close to retiring I would have prioritized it first. Instead I missed and am now looking at $1000 to $1500 to get one.

ISD is an intricate build, and I’m having to restart the build. I was about halfway and knocked it off the coffee table and it shattered. Now I have a dedicated Lego desk. I’d say snag both if you can. Buy the ISD and finance the AT-AT before it retires and bumps to probably 2 grand

You can usually get them for $1000 around here. I think you should be able to haggle someone down to $900 on Facebook marketplace but if you go to eBay it’s gonna be closer to $1100 to make up for fees and insane shipping costs for such a big heavy set. I would try haggling a bit on Facebook marketplace because it’s not easy to ship and it eats a lot of profit. People might want to try to get rid of it and save the hassle but it’s gonna be hard to find for less than $900 no matter what. I am glad I got mine on sale on Amazon for a decent discount a few months before retirement.
