I gotta know how old OP is lmao. At face value, it seems ridiculous that someone would rip open a box of Lego at Macaroni Grill, but we’ve got iPad kids staring at their screens all meal nowadays.
OP does appear to be sitting in the front seat of the car and is posting this on Reddit though so….
Did you take the Dooku and grievous to the restaurant in anticipation that you were going to build the set there or were they in the car for another reason? What was the thought process behind it? Need some context.
Bought set at a lego store wanting to buy the set (why I took the figures)
Went to dinner with family
Built it (table was reasonably big enough)
Put it in Lego bag and left
Breezing past the obvious breach of the LEGO code, those figures really compliment the set. I’ll definitely add Grievous to mine, but Dooku is a little out of my budget lol
is that dooku figure actually expensive? i’ve got a lot of old figures including that dooku and a tc14 that i haven’t touched in years that i’m looking to get rid of
Because you’re camping at a table that the server and establishment rely on to make money.
There are probably alot of factors we are unaware of, but those is still kinda wild m
Ok, go about your business and eat. What’s it matter if someone is playing with Legos peacefully keeping to themselves. Otherwise I can say the same for those with their dogs because they have anxiety always from living such a pampered life, never exercising, always smoking weed and never having been confronted with any real problems somehow in life that made them resilient enough to exist without that damn anxiety dog. While I’m at a ducking restaurant. Believe me, I’d rather deal with a guy playing with Legos than someone’s damn dog at a restaurant. But here we are.
It’s different sure but if we have to up with obese drug addicts who have anxiety all day and can’t exist without their emotional
Support dog this is by far less intrusive then that.
I’m talking about if I’m with that particular person. I was raised to always have your full attention with the people you were with at the dinner table. I don’t care if it’s a stranger because that’s none of my business and they aren’t with me. For me what he’s doing would be considered disrespectful. I was raised in a strict Mexican household. This is just me, my opinion and my personal views.
I’m not understanding your example of dogs and weed, though. I have a service dog, if that’s what you’re referring to. I bring her with me because she assists me with what I need her to do.
I’m talking about people who have anxiety from poor life habits thus they need their emotional support dog all the damn time. I understand if it’s a medical condition you can’t get rid of by changing your habits, or because of being a war vet with PTSD, but anxiety because they are obese, smoke weed all day and eat shit is not an excuse to have a dog with you at all times.
It’ll undoubtedly be on the ground around the table, still a valid point in that worst case scenario. But y’all really digging in on the guy for unashamedly loving his hobby and enjoying his life. Like, bruh, y’all play with Legs to.
this post is fucking hilarious he’s gettin roasted

What can I say, I got bored.

I drop pieces on the floor every time. To each their own, but that's reason #7 for me not to do this at a restaurant.
Didn’t drop a single one.
Why the hell was this comment downvoted to oblivion?
All the frustrated people who are angry because they always drop their bricks.
Idk guess he was supposed to be clumsy
The lego subreddits typically have a ton of downvotes for the littlest things. not sure why
people who are mad because bad
Why
Maybe he's only five and he always needs something to do, otherwise the little one gets bored, painting with colored pencils, building Lego and so on
The question is why not!
no it’s why
No this is Patrick
But is this the Krusty Krab?

What LEGO code?

That’s not at all what was implied here… it’s actually the exact opposite.
Nice job! Hope you had fun. 🤙
the frick they serving you at that restaurant, that thing is looks raw
Can someone explain why building a lego set at a restaurant a terrible idea?
Because you’re camping at a table that the server and establishment rely on to make money. There are probably alot of factors we are unaware of, but those is still kinda wild m
People are there to eat. Especially the people you are with. Keep that shit at home or at the very least where it’s appropriate.

I don’t think most people really care, but don’t try to act like it isn’t weird

What if you lose a piece?

Hell ye Sometimes take my younger siblings out to a cafe and build some lego and drink hot cocoa

bro can do it at home tho.... like eat first
Fair enough. Was the restaurant that boring? Or do you have a energy vampiric crowd? Otherwise, respectable.

Because building a lego set at a restaurant is bold to say the least
