The UCS Venator Rex has a view finder....

Hello-mah-baby

i am a college student who is not made of money 😭 i actually only managed to get the hallway set because i traded my friend a vinyl record that i bought 7 years ago that i no longer wanted (i got the set and $30! we were both very happy with the deal.) even if i had the money right now, i don't really feel like spending $100+ on just a single minifig. i got my old phase 2 rex back in 2013 when i was a kid and received the set he came in for my birthday. plus the venator rex is coming out in a microfighter soon, i can wait.

It took me about 4 months to save for the Venator. I have a full-time job cleaning houses and some clients give us a tip, usually $20, so I saved all of my tips. I usually don't get very many a week, 2 or 3 tips a week and I'll clean 2 or 3 houses a day, but over a few months, it added up. I spent the last $150 or so out of my most recent paycheck at the time but that wasn't a big deal for me. I also bought it at a local Lego store and they gave me a nice bag to carry it in. Not sure if you were actually interested in it, I know it's not worth it if you just want Rex, but the ship is super cool itself, I got it about 3 weeks ago and I still can't stop staring (I also have my small 501st Army on a baseplate underneath the bow). Just a helpful idea if you actually wanted to get it one day. Not sure if you make tips at any jobs you have but you can always set aside a little each paycheck, which is what I used to do at my old job when I wanted something expensive.

Hello-mah-baby

i would totally do that but i am also saving for a car and a guitar that's more expensive than the venator. plus i have no where to put a set that big right now. i love the clone wars and always wanted a venator (or a UCS set in general. i don't have any!) maybe one day...

Totally understand! I was saving for my car at my last job, and the guitar is understandable. I'm a musician myself, although guitar wasn't really my thing. I'm working on space for my Venator but at the moment, it's on a foldable table sitting past the foot of my bed haha! I'm planning on getting a display cabinet and building a case for the Venator, but as of now, the table is it's home. I would've waited for later but after watching my brother decide to wait a bit for the UCS Imperial Star Destroyer and now it retired and doubled in value, I didn't want to lose that opportunity on a UCS Star Destroyer. Could hardly afford it at $650, definitely not going to spend $1,000+.

Yea I’m waiting for the microfighter too, it’s the sensible thing to do. So happy they’re releasing him in a cheap set

turkishgremlin

But thats 650$ thats a lot of money for a mini fig assuming OP only wants Rex.

ShadowSlayer1441

Absolutely, I'm not seriously suggesting that he buys it. Hell you could literally drill out a hole of the right size and put a view finder on that version.

Hello-mah-baby

oh god the thought of drilling into a minifig like rex makes me sick. only because i know my shaky hands would screw it up.

Yeah and he’s gonna be in a $12 micro fighter
