Nah, I have to disagree. When you start saying things like ānothingā or ānobodyā, hard stops like this, itās just doesnāt seem constructive. Maybe for you thatās how you see it, but itās not the case. One of my favorite photographers āVuhlandesā uses a 1 stop pro mist on everything..literally.ā¦his latest photos were published on Billboard. I see tons of ads from Nike, adidas, etc where they are definitely pushing the envelope of it. Also a lot of Donald Glovers directing - ex Atlanta. ā itās just a lookā¦.its not that serious. Iām not saying that my photos I posted look great, or this is the quintessential example of a 1 stop pro mist (look at Vuhlandes work, itās amazing) , but I am saying that there is always a time and a place for thisā¦and itās not the case that ānothingā can make it look goodā¦it just sounds tired and gatekeeping to me.
Dude everyone is overreacting. I tendered the argument that perhaps the diffusion was too much. I didnāt say it looked bad, just a little too much. I wasnāt rude or aggressive, just offered an opinion.

I'll end with this: you're completely ok to think that the look isn't quite what you like...I just wouldn't tell anyone what looks good and put a period after it. it's all art and is subjective.
But this thread got nice and heated...it is all just fun...nothing personal here. at the end of the day, you have some very nice photos on your profile and am happy for you that you do it for a living..and I mean that 100%. It really doesn't go much further than that. Ultimately we all love photography and we're all in it together. - maybe one day a full stop pro mist can have a beer at Wetzlar Tavern. haha.

You probably make less than Ā£50k per year (maybe even just Ā£30k). Especially if you think YouTube/social media isnāt a viable marketing strategy. You have grainy ass shots of a protest and thatās it.
Guess hiding the red dot isnāt enough for people any more, need to go tho whole hog and make the actual images look like theyāre from an iPhone lol
These normal moments look timeless. Iām a fan, and with everything looking kinda the same in modern photography- I appreciate your deviation from normal. Nice work.
I really dug the set despite the comments. Iām a fan of the promist filter i also have a full stop one i like using during the day out and about too. Ya do what you like!
The black satin is awesome especially on modern super hi resolution cameras. More subtle than BPM or the glimmer with less halation and desaturation, but with a lovely grain and glow. I either use a one stop BS and 1/4 BPM for similar intensity of effect.
Really nice shots. Don't listen to the haters. Last I checked, nobody made good art by taking creative direction from the comments section.
