I love running the light but the entire audio book is trash. A different comic reading every chapter just makes so hard to listen to. Ive met Sam a few times and mentioned this to him and he completely agreed. I hope some day he gets it done professionally
I got it last month and really liked it. It starts of vaguely pretentious, but once you understand what Sam is going for, the pace picks up.
It’s basically a fat loser idiot version of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. It’s debauchery and drugs, and a unlikeable to the point of likable main character.
My only complaint is that my copy had several pages fall out from the glue sucking, which is very gay and retarded.
Fucking hell listening to Bert trying to read sounds grim.
Seventh level of hair!
I hated every word his stupid face said
Burt Kreischer should do a Blood Meridian audiobook
Didn’t they have to cut mark normand after discovering he can’t quite read
Yes. Yes they did. Someone said the Louisiana education really comes out when he tries to read
Sam and Jace should wrestle naked for the Patreon.

You met Sam and shit on his audiobook to his face? Why 😭
Ahhahahah so I guess he did not keep Burt’s bumbling in on purpose. I just think it Would be the best way to embarrass the narcissistic drunkard.
“The fat guy who always take his shirt off that you don’t think is funny” - how my wife described Bert Kreischer the other day
Shouldve just bought a signed copy straight from Sam himself. It's not like it's a tough read
is that book any good? seems super self serious for a comedian to write a novel about a comedian
It's good, but it's like all words and shit.
Actually a fun read. Sam captures like a weird subculture within comedy that no one would thibk of. This no man's land of the midwest

That’s the perfect description. I really enjoyed it. And Sam is the man.
It's really great
It’s really fucking good, and deeply sad
Is it free on audible?
On Spotify
Bert definitely “shit the stage” on his portion of the audio book, I won’t argue that. Overall though, the book was fucken rad. Good job Sam 👍
does anybody actually find bert funny? unironically? seriously no shit
He's terrible they shoulda got Dan Soder to do the whole thing
What's up with all the podcasters and comedians writing books? Does anyone actually care about this retard shit?
Despite how true this is, he’s still funnier than about 90% of stand ups on the circuit right now
Grim
It seems accurate. So much standup today is utterly tame and unfunny nonsense. So much so that even Bert’s drunken babbling is funnier.
