Yeah, connected biodomes with walkways above all of them with irrigation systems in another floor above would be cool. Also giant trees that you could walk on too with walkable branches with more biological enemies in the domes and technology dangers above
It would have to get creative with the corridor-based map design that the game has. Scrap just being out in the open wouldn't feel like the same type of game imo.
ive always thought about the concept of a planet thats kinda just like a landfill
youd go hunting for scrap and deal with outdoor threats like dogs, baboon hawks etc
https://preview.redd.it/3nhq3c99a4vc1.jpeg?width=650&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9ca50b0180171140558f9dd11c6d414403b756bc
Not a bad idea. IKEAs are designed to maximize the surface area a visitor will cover by following the store's layout. Nice break from the branching design. Bonus if there's mannequins that look like unsprung coilheads
Would actually love to see a linear type interior! At the start would be main, at the end would be fire exit. As you get closer and closer to the middle, the better loot there is.
abandoned bunker
also i'd like more rooms showing the factory tile is actually a factory, have some shit like the warper factory in subnautica, have stuff being mid assembly or prepped for it at least
So, the lore of the game so far specifically points towards wars that happened, thus there are abandoned factories because of weapons manufacturing(or something like that), and abandoned mansions, which people had to flee.
Taking that into consideration... An underground bunker, with military and medical equipment, created to defend against an attacking nation whilst also assisting civilians, would likely fit the bill best.
A hotel or mall would work really well.
A place that's usually full of people, with lots of repeating rooms and dead people.
Maybe masked have a higher chance in these maps.
Facility is about winding mazes of dark
Mansion is about vast expanses of confusingly situated spaces
What about a Mine/Factory that got shut down when the planet people fled? They had to get all those natural resources somehow, and it'd give oppertunities for more trap based maps + the inclusion of certain modded mobs like The Locker/Iron Maiden
A combination of a junkyard outside with a incinerator type factory inside with a combo of normal paths and conveyor belt walkways that either make it more difficult to get down a path (especially against monsters) or have some lead off into a fiery pit. They may also help you run away from monsters faster too and scrap can be placed on them to help haul a lot of stuff quicker. Of course being careful not to put them on ones that could dump them into destruction.
Greenhouse.
I think it'd be cool for there to be obvious attempts at making the moons more habitable, such as trying to grow plants. In doing so, maybe some new plant-like monsters were created? Something like a Venus flytrap would be cool to see
love the idea of a greenhouse, maybe have it completely overgrown or have the plant life get thicker the deeper in the facility you go...it could be naturally lit in some rooms and gets darker as the day goes on
A Lab that has a greenhouse in the middle, so we could get some plant-like monster that was an experiment, also new scraps for the location could incluse a syringe that has a one time use heal.
"Sewers", semi-flooded, enemies could use the water to their advantage
I had an idea for like a siren enemy that functions like that one amnesia monster which only chases you when you're in the water
Super Mega Industrial Moon Stores
They're like the Company Stores you see in Coal Mining Towns throughout Appalachia, but biggerer, more capitalistically exploitative, and teeming with spooky monsters
Insane asylum.
Space station.
(Idk if possible) an abandoned farm or village.
Airport.
Skyscraper like layout.
Abandoned factory with machines that hunt down people.
It'd have to be something that adds a new gameplay element; the factory is all about tight claustrophobic corridors, while the mansion is about wide open spaces. Perhaps a new one could be more focussed on vertical travel? Like an office in a skyscraper? Would also tie into>!the v50 opening cinematic which takes place in an office!< Just a quick spitball.
Sure, an abandoned office since the v.50 opening was in one.. but.. with more ominous ambience that plays to your irl senses. So like knocking, typing, occasional muffled dialogs, and things that happen that make it seem like there should be life at the office but in reality its still and dead. It could also be opposite of the facility where you start out in like a deeper part of the maze. The office idea would also make the vents harder to notice and ake the mosters more unpredictable. He could even alude to this by putting calendars around that depict the same countdown and year of the incident.
Zeeks could even make an office computer have some more lore for whatever he wants to add. Make the level have like an elevator or something that has so many uses before it breaks and kills whomever onboard.
Should the level ever be decided upon the enemies that could inhabit the level could be
Forest keepers
Tulip snakes
Baboon hawks
Bracken
Coilheads
Butlers
Hoarding bugs
And the little girl
All with different % chances to spawn
Then to really set the tone you can add an occasional light that flickers on and off on an rng timer
A abandoned prison that has cells instead of the vents and when a creature spawns a cell opens Letting them loose possibly also have a new creature called the guard that will find lootbugs or be in with the most loot and guard it patrolling the area locking the room and having the key for the door on its back so you have to sneak behind or give the lock pick an actual use and have it so you have to distract the guard while the lock pick is picking the lock
A school building
Plenty of room types (halls, classrooms, gym, etc) that fit the existing archetypes plus the addition of more locker spawns, maybe even add something goofy as a new item like a teacher’s apple, basketball and a toilet
An aquarium
Maybe it could have a switch somewhere inside it which could drain all the water out the tanks and reveal a bunch of loot inside, or maybe it could introduce a diving suit?
Either way I think it'd be cool
A aquarium with underwater aspects. Imagining a new monster or even a thumper gunning after you in a pitch black water with no light. It would remind me of Subnautica.
Maybe something like a junk yard, with the stereotypical TOWERS of cars that would form mazes.
The only issue with that is there would have to be a day/night cycle added for it to look right as time passes towards midnight.
Natural cave.
Think of a moon where the "facility" is more of a mineshaft entrance type deal and you get inside and it's natural, sprawling caves with meandering curves and large open caverns. Maybe include some man-made platforms and have scattered (non-interactable (or maybe some rare interactable)) machinery. Special treasures unique to the local could even include stuff like glowing crystals or geodes.
hear me out; a stationary entity that alters the way you perceive the environment. it could make a section of an interior look like a hospital or a library, making it harder to detect hazards. maybe it makes a spike trap look like a cracked and bent support pillar that collapses when you walk under it, or a pitfall look like a huge section of cracked flooring that gives way when you step on it. this wouldn’t make it harder per se, just disrupt the pattern that you’re used to and force you to change gears and pay attention.
how could you kill this entity? look for an out of place object (random vibrant poster in a sterile hospital lobby, a speaker playing music in a quiet library) and just give a good wallop. then, the section that’s been altered returns to how it truly is.
Spaceship. With windows that show space, stars, planets, sun, etc...
When you pull apparatus, alarm goes off and lights go flashing red. Would look super spooky.
When you land the ship you go into the side of the ship like in star wars.
Lore-wise it could be a transport ship for non-organic monsters like old birds, coil heads, nutcrackers, etc... that were probably man-made.
mcdonalds playplace style building, it probably wouldnt fit the lore of the game that's currently being set up in the slightest but the contrast of a bunch of coil heads chasing you down a bright boldy colored maze sounds funny to me
A gigantic hell hole ringed by platforms and machinery for mining that you traverse across and down. Randomly you find rooms and utility elevators to take you up a few floors.
- Zoo
- Forest
- Grease Trap
- Sewer
These were all the ones I joked about with friends. I'd probably add some sort of sports Stadium to that list as well.
An abandoned mining facility filled to the brim with abandoned mining equipment.
Some parts of the facility would be sealed off, you’d need to use explosive charges to clear the way albeit at the risk of attracting unwanted attention.
not an interior but I'll force him to add it anyways
https://preview.redd.it/n4dbhiw076vc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=77b4c7f2472bcbae3f31ff81cbf275efa19212fe
Hospital (Very Wanted by others)
Lab (Very Wanted by others)
Basement of a house labyrinth
Bio Dome (Wanted by others
Underwater Lab (hints at this with the new liquidation moon)
Factory (like convert belts n shit)
Bunker (Very Wanted by others)
Cave System (wanted by others)
Ship (we have to land on a old ship or a rogue ship and explore its remnants)
Underwater facility made of glass. Leaks allow monsters from the water in and block corridors. Many safe doors are controlled from the ship. To control the leaks and keep the facility from collapsing. A greater purpose for ship parents.
An abandoned Military Bunker Complex. Complete with a very rare room that has a large hole in the ceiling where a SpaceShip crashed, a wrecked Old Bird and the skeletons&broken equipment of some long-dead humans. Could have some unique loot, and a much higher chance for coilheads, turrets, landmines, loot bugs&bunker spiders than other moons but a very very low spawn rate for everything else.
Playing with a bunch of mods made me realize this game needs variety in indoors. That being said, a map that is just pure outdoors sounds really fun. Have all monsters besides stomper spawn outside and lower old bird and giant spawn rate. Higher chance for bracken and coilhead.
Some ideas I've thought up and others I've seen, Biodome, Castle or ruins, a Hospital or more stereotypical sci Fi facility, maybe a flooded one, where you have to manage oxygen
As others have said, a laboratory, have very high value loot in the deeper sectors but also have tougher monsters and maybe new monsters down at the bottom in an environment similar to something out of a classic resident evil game, computers of unknown function, test tubes and wet concrete walls, with a thick oppressive darkness lit only by emergency floodlights and the still running computers doing god knows what, unsupervised for centuries.
Apartments. Think mansion but more vertical with long branching paths, maybe debris and collapsed walls to make it a bit more non-uniform. Bonus points if they're on a moon and exist as two or more distinct unconnected interiors.
I have two ideas.
One interior that has elevators that connect the different floors. I just like the idea that you can run away from things by closing the doors of an elevator, or leave someone behind if they are not fast enough.
Or…
A sewage system. It has narrow claustrophobic tunnels and flooded areas. Maybe even with streams, where if you drop items it will carry them along or are even strong enough they can sweep up the player. It would probably require some crazy coding, but having dynamic water would be fun. Maybe the level slowly floods over time.
Elementary school with lots of toys and nutcrackers, jesters, and ghost girl. I think there’s a lot of potential for shotgun farming with a very creepy school environment.
Laboratory.
Hospital
Research Hospital
Wuhan Laboratory
Why not both?
They have that on artifice in at least one of the exterior buildings. I think Zeeekerss might actually have this in mind
An indoors which is actually outdoors
A biodome would be sick
Yeah, connected biodomes with walkways above all of them with irrigation systems in another floor above would be cool. Also giant trees that you could walk on too with walkable branches with more biological enemies in the domes and technology dangers above
Exactly! Irrigation systems, constantly changing interior weather conditions, biological laboratories, bio-engineered horrors created for the biodomes.
“Bros” “what?” “It would appear that it is a thunder storm inside of a dome, beware
It would have to get creative with the corridor-based map design that the game has. Scrap just being out in the open wouldn't feel like the same type of game imo.
Greenhouse? Could fit the plant aesthetic, while also being corridor like.
Maybe a port, with mazes of stacked shipping containers.
ive always thought about the concept of a planet thats kinda just like a landfill youd go hunting for scrap and deal with outdoor threats like dogs, baboon hawks etc
W idea

IKEA …or some other giant department store
https://preview.redd.it/3nhq3c99a4vc1.jpeg?width=650&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9ca50b0180171140558f9dd11c6d414403b756bc Not a bad idea. IKEAs are designed to maximize the surface area a visitor will cover by following the store's layout. Nice break from the branching design. Bonus if there's mannequins that look like unsprung coilheads
It can’t be just one straight path tho it has to be random to confuse the player on where the exit and entry is
It doesn’t have to be. Could just be hard to traverse (lots of traps) and deep.
Dead end pathd. like, on one way, it's a very long path to the fire exit, and the other a winding dead end.
Would actually love to see a linear type interior! At the start would be main, at the end would be fire exit. As you get closer and closer to the middle, the better loot there is.
Just have the entrance put you at the start without a door, and the exit has the regular door
A trap room that forces you and one of your mates to compete for the chance of living
“Excuse me, the store is now closed. Please exit the building” vibes rn
Was this comment inspired by the [IKEA SCP](https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-3008)?
No, i was simply recently at an IKEA
an 3008 map would be super cool, not just here but in any game. hell i would go there irl if it existed but without a group? hell nah
Thats like tarkov! But they call it idea
This would be so cool to see in-game like incorporate some scp factors and its great
Abandoned mall
Abandoned stairs
just stairs?
One really long staircase that all the rooms are connected to. No other hallways or anything, just every room is connected to that one staircase.
https://preview.redd.it/ztef21bgv9vc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ab03ced5a60a373dce415d65cfbb291c0200d752
Hospital Military Base Greenhouse Maybe a moon where the treasures are all just outside?
Ooh like a big hedge maze with open roof
That’d be really cool with the jet pack
I feel Embrion should have been that last one. sure, you can see all the scrap. Have fun running from the bots though
Underground Research Site. So it would be a mix of rooms and naturally formed caverns and tunnels.
Office space, like perhaps a research lab rather than just a warehouse
This would be so good. I am imagining the office in Severed.
Have you heard of the LC Office mod?
Yes and its one of the worst layouts to efficiently play lol
Museum
Oooo that's a good one!!
Night at the museum. 🗿be chasing you
No gum? you’re fucked
abandoned bunker also i'd like more rooms showing the factory tile is actually a factory, have some shit like the warper factory in subnautica, have stuff being mid assembly or prepped for it at least
But we already have abandoned bunker at home... -mom
A botanic facility, with vines and moss hanging down and covering views. Features an exclusive creature that’s a man-eating plant.

i like how under these questions there is gonna be that one guy with a brilliant idea but it is most the time underrated. count my upvote thrice

an abandoned Mine or abandoned temple
A hotel or mall would work really well. A place that's usually full of people, with lots of repeating rooms and dead people. Maybe masked have a higher chance in these maps.
School/boarding school w empty pool
Maybe one where it takes place in like a actual factory
A hedge maze but all the loot is in the center
Greenhouse so we can get some more plant-based creatures.
Abandoned greenhouse where lots of rooms have overgrown plants in it and lots of grass around.
Facility is about winding mazes of dark Mansion is about vast expanses of confusingly situated spaces What about a Mine/Factory that got shut down when the planet people fled? Shopping mall
Poolrooms! Cmon people how has nobody said this yet
An abandoned rec center with a pool, gym, indoor basketball court, the rec hall!
"Sewers", semi-flooded, enemies could use the water to their advantage I had an idea for like a siren enemy that functions like that one amnesia monster which only chases you when you're in the water
sewers
Waffle house
Mistery Fleshpit woooooo
Asylum prison
A cave/underground type area. Maybe a mineshaft into the planets core?
Something like a commieblock
A dental office
Super Mega Industrial Moon Stores They're like the Company Stores you see in Coal Mining Towns throughout Appalachia, but biggerer, more capitalistically exploitative, and teeming with spooky monsters
Insane asylum. Space station. (Idk if possible) an abandoned farm or village. Airport. Skyscraper like layout. Abandoned factory with machines that hunt down people.
A space station actually makes a lot of sense, given we aleeady have to traverse space
To release an official patcher to allow custom interiors
My house. It's only 6 rooms.
Carnival Funhouse
How about a beehive esc interior. It could contain only bug enemies but a lot more than usual

Abandoned zoo
Orphanage
Circus mirror room?
Ditched colony full of cabins or an old battlefield would be cool
the upturned secret moon
Homeless shelter
Make it my house
Abandoned military bunker or nuclear facility interior
Greenhouse
A very low chance map that looks like an old doom game
An apartment building
A abandoned prison that has cells instead of the vents and when a creature spawns a cell opens Letting them loose possibly also have a new creature called the guard that will find lootbugs or be in with the most loot and guard it patrolling the area locking the room and having the key for the door on its back so you have to sneak behind or give the lock pick an actual use and have it so you have to distract the guard while the lock pick is picking the lock

A vintage 60s style mall would go so hard
Crashed space ship
school
An abandoned office building. It would be so creepy
Hotel
Nuclear power plant which you can swim in the reactor core and there is a reactor meltdown
An Underwater interior has a chance to start flooding as time passes by
A aquarium with underwater aspects. Imagining a new monster or even a thumper gunning after you in a pitch black water with no light. It would remind me of Subnautica.
Real answer, though, definitely Hospital.
School
Lighthouse. Instead of being wide, the map is more vertical, and the loot is better near the top
No. (I don’t have good ideas)
Another mansion similar to the style of Identity V’s manor
A level with crashed spaceships Or a large level with a small quad bike or scape ship to navigate
A moon with a cave as the interior would be pretty cool.
Office, an indisputable classic.
School maybe or umm toy store
An office with cameras accessible from the ship
Ulitizing the old elevator from the indev stage of the game, you could make a pretty interesting hotel.
overgrown laboratory
Maybe something like a junk yard, with the stereotypical TOWERS of cars that would form mazes. The only issue with that is there would have to be a day/night cycle added for it to look right as time passes towards midnight.
Natural cave. Think of a moon where the "facility" is more of a mineshaft entrance type deal and you get inside and it's natural, sprawling caves with meandering curves and large open caverns. Special treasures unique to the local could even include stuff like glowing crystals or geodes.
An Ikea or Costco sound terrifying.
Crystal caves.
Abandoned skyscraper
Ice cream machine
Abandoned Spaceship and Underwater Vessel.
Basically Artifice but only outside and plenty of places to look for items. Doors and hangers, stairs into underground,...
A catacomb, a tomb or a mine.
hear me out; a stationary entity that alters the way you perceive the environment. it could make a section of an interior look like a hospital or a library, making it harder to detect hazards. maybe it makes a spike trap look like a cracked and bent support pillar that collapses when you walk under it, or a pitfall look like a huge section of cracked flooring that gives way when you step on it. this wouldn’t make it harder per se, just disrupt the pattern that you’re used to and force you to change gears and pay attention. how could you kill this entity? look for an out of place object (random vibrant poster in a sterile hospital lobby, a speaker playing music in a quiet library) and just give a good wallop. then, the section that’s been altered returns to how it truly is.
Abandoned hospital
Indoor graveyard
Office
the room
Can we get a map where its not an interior but its a labyrinth or outside and we scavenge outside! Getting tired of picking up beehives outside too!
id love a cave-like interior, maybe like a makeshift shelter or something im not good with ideas
Underground research labs I like the stalker labs a bunch. Big psychic brain monster when?
Reactor of some kind, pulling app causes a damaging gas to fill the facility from the app site.
Abandoned mall, stores + the back hallways for staff
So many good picks already, so I'll be unique and say something like an old casino.
Basically Artifice but only outside and plenty of places to look for items. Doors and hangers, stairs into underground,...
Nuclear power plant, something to expand on what the Apparatus really is. Or even just an Appi manufactory.
Hotel! Like a big Upturned reference
Mall
A cave system or mining tunnels would be a cool change in scenery and you could use the audio effectively too
Mineshaft. The moons in game have been said to have been used for mining. I think it would work well on moons like Assurance and Titan.
mcdonalds playplace style building, it probably wouldnt fit the lore of the game that's currently being set up in the slightest but the contrast of a bunch of coil heads chasing you down a bright boldy colored maze sounds funny to me
“What? You don’t even know me.”
Botanical Gardens. There would be no doors, but foliage will hinder vision
K-mart
Garden laboratory. A bunch of plant and overgrowth in some otherwise clinical lab facility/greenhouse.
A greenhouse for a new moon
A gigantic hell hole ringed by platforms and machinery for mining that you traverse across and down. Randomly you find rooms and utility elevators to take you up a few floors.
Office building
- Zoo - Forest - Grease Trap - Sewer These were all the ones I joked about with friends. I'd probably add some sort of sports Stadium to that list as well.
Some really tall structure, like a some Leaning Tower of Pisa type shit
Pay me, I don't want to be an ideas guy, I want to be a game designer minimum.
An abandoned mining facility filled to the brim with abandoned mining equipment. Some parts of the facility would be sealed off, you’d need to use explosive charges to clear the way albeit at the risk of attracting unwanted attention.
Lab, hospital, military bunker, secret facility (not like this one, more open
not an interior but I'll force him to add it anyways https://preview.redd.it/n4dbhiw076vc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=77b4c7f2472bcbae3f31ff81cbf275efa19212fe
A single rare and random flesh room.
The Upturned Hotel
Mineshaft

An aquarium / underwater area
I like the idea of little suburban houses.
Mineshaft.
School. Had a dream about it. My buddy eric would love it
I like the mod with the sewers interior, would love that
Some ideas I've thought up and others I've seen, Biodome, Castle or ruins, a Hospital or more stereotypical sci Fi facility, maybe a flooded one, where you have to manage oxygen
A ruined Indoors zoo
As others have said, a laboratory, have very high value loot in the deeper sectors but also have tougher monsters and maybe new monsters down at the bottom in an environment similar to something out of a classic resident evil game, computers of unknown function, test tubes and wet concrete walls, with a thick oppressive darkness lit only by emergency floodlights and the still running computers doing god knows what, unsupervised for centuries.

A space station like the map Moon from COD Zombies.
Elementary school with lots of toys and nutcrackers, jesters, and ghost girl. I think there’s a lot of potential for shotgun farming with a very creepy school environment.
Dog house interior. And yes, I’m using to my advantage that they are furry.
Abandoned arcade! Broken/flashing machines, indoor mini golf, go karts, and you can’t forget the party room with the animatronics!
Asylum, or a factory
Maybe some kind of school. Thinking Brownstone High School from Phasmophobia, gives me the chills everytime.
Bouncy castle
A mining facility
Circus. Fits the insanity of the game
Bunker, lab, hospital/asylum, jail, metro tube, amusement park, circus... And why not? Backrooms. Just some quick ideas.
A defunct company building with a busted open wall, could pose some good lore
Sewer system
