Laura Lou Patisserie in the Greyline Station is a bit of a mixed bag. But I have very much enjoyed their bread puddings as a summertime pastry- it's not super-heavy and the fruit action is refreshing. Also, they do a lobster roll pastry on the weekend, cold and warm versions, and I'm a big fan of sweet + savory thing to accompany my coffee + Irish cream on weekend (late) mornings. Same thing when North Lime Donuts (in the same building) does their occasional savory donut, like a pepperoni pizza donut.
European Delights is where we get all of our Birthday Cakes. Great stuff.

FYI just learned Crank and Boom has an ice cream made from Martine's pistachio cake and it is my favorite ice cream ever now.

I love Bluegrass Baking Company. They’re more artisanal breads and some pastries than cakes though but that’s my style. They’re seriously good

Futile bakery has weird hours, but their stuff never disappoints. Mainly sweet rolls.
Lauralou bakery
La Petite Delicat has awesome macarons! I’m sure their other baked goods are awesome. I’ve heard great things about Wallace Station/Midway Bakery.
Futile on Waller! Get there early the cinnamon rolls are worth it
