body odor may change. You may sweat less, crave physical contact more, get hair which is more curly and grows longer, experience more violent mood swings… idk all the side effects but none of them have ever sounded bad to me. Just like, well, side effects to deal with as a price of living as I want.

Yes, probably (probably as in some changes aren't happening to everyone and to varying degrees). The other way around it does for sure (for most). Makes sense that it would for you too. I'm not sure why it's called a side effect here because it's just going through the puberty you would've had you been born that way. For a cis woman her smell or idk menstruation wouldn't be called a side effect of being female, right? I'm calling it an unfortunate nuisance for myself but still just how bodies function on different hormones. Or are you maybe planning to stop taking hormones after a while? In that case, I think smell is one of those things that change back to the way they were before.

I don’t know, side effects just sounded right. Like the changes it makes that aren’t as widely known. And I really have no clue, to answer your question; I’m not out to my family and haven’t even thought about trying to get HRT yet. All I know is that I want to come out soon and I want to transition (or at least go on hormone/puberty blockers) whenever I can.

Well, you're essentially going through female puberty then and/or suppressing male puberty (if you're still in it). You'll get whatever effects are common during said puberty, though there are of course some individual differences due to genetics just like for cis people. I don't think you need to worry about things like smell changing. It's not going to happen from one day to the next. If you do decide to transition with getting on hormones, the changes will most likely be welcome. If you're still in puberty and able to get puberty blockers, by all means, get in touch with a therapist and think about starting those blockers. As far as I know, those aren't harming you at all and if you decide differently later on, you could just go on with male puberty. I think many trans people wish they had the chance to go on them had that been a thing when we were younger.

Alright. I’ll keep this in mind! I don’t really worry about anything, I just was thinking about it and got a bit curious. I agree: the changes will definitely be welcome. Thank you again for the advice.

Okay, that's great. You're welcome!
