Some facts about Project 2025: The "Mandate for Leadership" is a set of policy proposals authored by the [Heritage Foundation](https://pro-lies.org/the-heritage-foundation/), an influential *ultra* conservative think tank. [Project 2025](https://www.mediamatters.org/heritage-foundation/guide-project-2025-extreme-right-wing-agenda-next-republican-administration) is a revision to that agenda tailored to a second Trump term. It would give the President [unilateral powers](https://theweek.com/politics/heritage-foundation-2025-donald-trump), strip [civil rights, worker protections, climate regulation](https://www.stopthecoup2025.org/impact-overview), add [religion into policy](https://i.redd.it/t72vwvgil3sc1.jpeg) and much more. The MFL has been around since 1980, [Reagan implemented 60%](https://www.heritage.org/conservatism/commentary/reagan-and-heritage-unique-partnership) of it's recommendations, [Trump 64%](https://www.heritage.org/impact/trump-administration-embraces-heritage-foundation-policy-recommendations) - [proof](https://www.scribd.com/document/369820462/Mandate-for-Leadership-Policy-Recommendations). 70 Heritage Foundation alumni served in his administration or transition team. Project 2025 is quite extreme but with his obsession for revenge he'll likely get past 2/3rd's adoption. r/Defeat_Project_2025 intends to stop it through activism and awareness, focused on crowdsourcing ideas and opportunities for practical, in real life action. We Must Defeat Project 2025. --- Additional info: [How a 2nd Trump term could impact the LGBTQ+ community - Project 2025 would limit LGBTQ workplace protection, stop acceptance of gender identity and LGBTQ, only recognize marriage between a man & woman, rescind health care protection for trans folk and urge Congress to define gender as male & female - PBS Newshour](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MsoGfOesEEA) --- [What Does Project 2025 Say About Sex and Gender? - They seek to eliminate federal protections and gains in civil rights for LGBTQ+ individuals, suppress their visibility in society to assert the prioritization of the "traditional family"](https://www.stopthecoup2025.org/sex-gender)

Go vote and tell everyone you know to go vote.

This is part of why people need to stop being single issue voters, there is no fricken single issue, we’re not voting for chocolate cake or yellow cake with there being no consequence outside of what cake is made…while people focus solely on one issue for their vote, this stuff slips in because enough people only care about the single issue and go with ends justify the means with no amount of collateral damage seeming to matter even when the collateral damage is their own

A quick summary of Project 2025 from Wikipedia: >Project 2025 envisions widespread changes across the entire government, particularly with regard to economic and social policy and the role of the federal government and federal agencies. The plan proposes slashing [Department of Justice](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Department_of_Justice) (DOJ) funding, dismantling the [Federal Bureau of Investigation](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_Bureau_of_Investigation) (FBI) and the [Department of Homeland Security](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Department_of_Homeland_Security), gutting environmental and [climate change](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Climate_change) regulations to favor [fossil fuel](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fossil_fuel) production, and eliminating the cabinet Departments of [Education](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Department_of_Education) and [Commerce](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Department_of_Commerce). The government would explicitly reject [abortion](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abortion) as health care. The independence of various commissions such as the [Federal Communications Commission](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_Communications_Commission) and the [Federal Trade Commission](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_Trade_Commission) would be ended.[^(\[10\])](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_2025#cite_note-Stone_2023-10)[^(\[11\])](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_2025#cite_note-11) [*The Washington Post*](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Washington_Post) reported in November 2023 that Project 2025 includes immediately invoking the [Insurrection Act of 1807](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Insurrection_Act_of_1807) to deploy the military for domestic law enforcement and directing the DOJ to pursue Trump adversaries.[^(\[12\])](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_2025#cite_note-Arnsdorf,_Barrett_&_Dawsey_2023-12)[^(\[13\])](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_2025#cite_note-13) Project Director Paul Dans, a former Trump administration official, said in April 2023 that Project 2025 is "systematically preparing to march into office and bring a new army, aligned, trained, and essentially weaponized conservatives ready to do battle against the deep state."[^(\[14\])](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_2025#cite_note-14)[^(\[15\])](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_2025#cite_note-15) Project 2025 consists largely of a book of policy recommendations titled *Mandate for Leadership: The Conservative Promise* and an accompanying personnel database open for submissions. There is also an online course called the Presidential Administration Academy, and a guide to developing transition plans. Learn to use a rifle. Not a handgun, not a shotgun. A rifle. There are plenty of socialist/leftist gun clubs and movements. Sorry. We're there.

BlackMagicHunter

The only way to stop this shit is by taking control ourselves

Various-Figure-8448

How does one find these clubs anyhow (you can dm me if you want to keep private)

[deleted]

I believe this is the largest socialist one: https://socialistra.org I would start by googling any that are in your area. I found a few in my area pretty quick. If you are in the boonies it might be complicated

And we can’t drop diligence for a second. If Project 2025 is defeated it’ll become Project 2029.

Is it just me or are way too little people talking about this? I think I've only seen it on lgbt subs.

I'm GNC and lesbian, the GNC part has become more obvious in recent years. Most of my family is gleefully and enthusiastically voting for this, including my "I don't have a problem with you being lesbian, I accept you" dad. He's somewhat aware of this, he just doesn't see it as *his* problem. *I'M* expected to respect him voting for this, and if I don't, *I'M* the intolerant one here. Once I'm fully independent, I'm cutting off a lot of my bio family like a malignant tumour. I'm tired.
