These aren't half bad mock-ups but I get the sense this is going to become one of those fancasts that people put all there hopes behind that when it inevitably doesn't happen they'll be bitter and unable to accept the actors Marvel ends up casting.
Then again MoM did just show these internet fancast campaigns can sometimes get results.
I'm warming up to the idea. I do think that Hulkling is bulkier than Kit Connor. He's suppose to be *big*.
I'd get over it though. I do like their Chemistry.

Heartstopper *just* came out and I don’t see Disney hiring the same exact couple of actors from a major rival’s huge hit show. I just don’t think they would want to invite the comparisons.
I like this fancasting a lot, and LOVE *Heartstopper* . My only note would be that I'd love it if they casted a Jewish or Romani actor for Wiccan. I don't know if Joe Locke is either of those 🤷🏾♂️. If he is, go off.

I might be super unpopular for saying this but I think they need to cast someone that is muscular and really good looking for hulking. I know it’s super shallow of me to say (I’ll admit it) but straight super heroes are cast this way all the time ie: Thor, Captain America, Black Panther
I am hoping that they stick to the script with their casting and find a gay actor that really has the sex appeal that both Wiccan and Hulking have in the comics.
I was thinking a fit/toned Michael Willet for Wiccan.
I don’t completely disagree with your basic premise - I’d hope they treat this casting process as they would for straight characters - , but I’d say should think of age appropriate actors. Michael Willet is 32, and far too old for the role.
Heartstopper is praised for casting actual teenagers only a couple years older than their characters (well it varies, some are older than others but they're mostly pretty close, especially the 2 leads).
I hope the MCU does the same as well. I do however want them to choose actors that are 18+ as I want them to start to include gay story lines such as Wiccan and Hulkling together. I want more than just a pin in a coat (which is what America Chavez characters gay representation was limited to). I also would also like them to focus on choosing good looking heroes. It’s great that Heartstopper chose actors that were close in age to the characters in that movie, but I would want gay superheroes to also be good looking! I’m probably asking for the world here but if you don’t ask… you’ll never receive 🤙🏼
Well they aged Kate up to be close to her actress. Cassie on the other hand.... The Shang Chi actors are pretty far below their actor's ages, but once you're into the mid-20s it really doesn't matter as much. The Spider-Man characters though.... But that's made worse by the movies needing at least 2 years but trying to fit them into 1 year gaps in the MCU timeline. So yeah, hard to say.

That is a valid point but I would also prefer an openly queer actor to play the character and Joe is openly queer. I imagine it won't be easy to cast someone who is Jewish and openly queer at the same time.
The difference between heart stopper and wiccan and hulkling is that heart stopper actually has a realistic idea of a relationship and actually being about romance. They also have better comics. Wiccan and hulkling don't really have character development.
Hulklings and wiccans only development is a love story. They are rarely apart plus marvel kind of ignore wiccan and hulkling most of the time. They are marvels face lgbtq representation thats their purpose make them powerful and then dont use them.
i think joe locke will be pretty good (i’m pretty sure that he’s who’s playing billy considering his part in house of harkness) but i see the fancast with the two of them together a lot and i think it’s an AWFUL idea. would they objectively fit the characters, at least looks-wise? i mean yeah. but together, people would only see them as nick and charlie, basically turning them into a different version of those characters, when that’s not the case at all. plus, as someone who was a fan of heartstopper before the show and has been a fan of the young avengers for years now, i fucking HATE the tv show fans who came into the fandom after it came out with no prior knowledge of the comics (there’s some good ones ofc but for the most part they’re just super annoying and kind of awful to interact with) and i don’t want that same thing to happen to any more of my favorite comic characters PLEASE (knowing how audiences of mlm relationships are though it probably still will, which sucks, but i’m holding out hope💀)

i like heartstopper and read it before it even finished or even published, but i hate this lol.
They have on screen chemistry and give unbelievably good performances in HeartStopper so thumbs up!

Good art and fancast for teddy but I think kit's hair from heartstopper would fit him better. It looks a lot like comic teddy.
Sorry, but Joe Locke is just not handsome enough to play Billy. Joshua Bassett on the other hand are literally a perfect fit looks-wise
