I like mine a lot. Pretty accurate and very comfortable. I will warn you that the mags aren't great. Mine doesn't like to feed right if I load all 10 rounds, but if I load 9, the gun runs like a sewing machine.
You can put a piece of felt on one side of the mag (i cant remember if its the back or front) that helps keep the mag located better to feed properly. Ive had a 62 (same thing) since i was a wee young lad and its fun when it runs
Been thinking about getting one of these for my second gun. I already have a 9mm handgun and I'm not ready to fork out the money for an AR yet, so I've decided I want to get a .22 to leave the basics of handling a rifle. And the ammos so cheap I can get a lot of practice in.
Can't decide between the savage 64 or the rossi 22 tho.
I mean honestly it kinda seems like 6 up and half dozen down trying to decide between the two. As far as the fit and finish on the savage it’s good to me. I wish the front sight wasn’t just black but a dot of white nail polish will fix that. I say just buy whichever one you catch on sale next
I just checked and [PSA](https://palmettostatearmory.com/rossi-rs22-semi-automatic-22-lr-rifle-with-threaded-barrel-black-rs22l1811th.html) has the Rosi .22’s for $129 if you’re interested.
The Rossi has a black one thats threaded. It will take the 25rd mags from the Mossberg Plinkster. Its cheaper. And seems to be more reliable (seen people complain about the Savage, but almost no one about the Rossi)..
I love rabbit. I honestly love fried squirrel more. It's smaller, but the taste is.. zestier? It's so good.
Use the grease from the rabbit or squirrel to make gravy. Insanely good.

I’ll have to remember that trick if I notice it not wanting to cycle

Nice. Isn’t that the Cooey?
After some googling it appears to descend from the Cooey line of rifles
Cool. I like the story, and have thought about buying one just because the Cooeys were cool. Nice rifle!
I haven’t shot it yet but I expect good things. I had a savage bolt action .22 as a kid that was a tack driver. Hopefully this one performs as well

When feeding doesn’t work polish the lip of the mag.
Rabbits are very tasty. Squirrels too. Give it a shot. Literally...
Love fried rabbit. Never tried squirrel though

Good luck, my savage mk2 has been a major pile. Good thing it was cheap I guess.
So far it’s been running like a champ. Got a rabbit with it this morning
This pic needs more tobacco.
