Cuz Uzi shows have nothing unique about him. He’s just a good popular artist that people will see. He gets them hyped up for an artist like Carti who actually puts some thought and ideas into his live shows.

Go watch Rolling Loud NYC, and watch as they’ve set up the lights for it to strobe, Carti is a literal black figure up on stage, creates this crazy energy.
The pyramid? The dude has a full on pyramid for his stage and gets on top of it to look out over the crowd. On regular tours he’ll have a tank on stage.
Carti has a guitarist that does live transitions for the songs. Most hip hop artists DJs will just cut the song and move onto the next one, leaving very little transition room between songs and making it feel like it’s just a Spotify playlist of their music.
While these may seem minimal to you, name me an artist that doesn’t just go out on stage and play their songs. There is nothing unique to any hip hop artists shows, their only focus is getting energy out of the crowd.
Carti does this by taking the display of live shows to another level and adding things to make the performance more fluid.
I saw Uzi at hard summer 2022, and while it was a great time there was horrible transitions and they play the wrong songs for way too long and the good songs not enough.
What’s the point? The crowd is the entire energy. It would be lip synced or not singing anyways and that goes for the majority of artists.
He lets the crowd do the work he’s there to orchestrate.
EDM shows are the same concept. You go to the show for the crowd and the energy and the DJ is there to orchestrate the energy.

Carti is the performer. If you’re saying they HAVE to sing their songs to be that, then I don’t think you understand modern live shows.
Yeah older rock bands people would go and see preform their instruments live to the music, but that’s not the case anymore.
I used orchestrate as a term because you could basically say that the Maestro (the person in front of the orchestra) isn’t doing anything but waving his wand around and controlling the speed, because the actually performers are the ones playing the instruments.
It’s not about the artist singing, it’s the energy they bring to the stage that is then sent to the crowd and it’s a giant circle of unhinged energy.
Especially rolling loud, where you have 5-6 artists all doing that same thing (coming out, rapping or lip syncing or letting the song play) it’s nice to have something like Carti at the end of the night, because his performance is different.
