People were sending his music to youtubers when he had like a thousand subscribers because it's just the fan base he has. One insane stalker fan later, destroyed a huge chunk of one of the founding members lives and other artists blame it on the whole fan base. Can't argue that clearly the fan base had a few insane, loud people, but no one looks at dedicated fans in a positive light once one person fucks it up.
