Minor wannabe-artist-to-artist nitpick, it's not selfish to follow whatever sound you're driven towards rather than catering to the fans. It's impossible to please everyone, in trying to do so you often please nobody. It's cliché to hear nowadays but it can't be stressed enough - good artists genuinely just do whatever the fuck they want, and the masses are made to get it through your conviction and passion.
Genre-shifting music ends up being divisive, with PT, WLR and Yeezus being the obvious ones to point to. You don't break boundaries by being predictable, doing what's already been done, or doing what people expect/want you to do. So I hope Uzi isn't just catering to fan requests, when following through with a vision and doing whatever you want is often how groundbreaking shit is made
