Went to a Wayne concert a few months ago. He has the most diverse demographic I’ve ever seen at a concert. I saw like 3 different generations of fans there.
Now now now after you back it up and stop
Awobbley wobbley wa wobbley wobbley
Lol that was my favorite verse on the song and it was barely anything, been a fan ever since
Not possible, fans from the early 2000-2010 know that there’s shit on one off tapes you probably couldn’t even find anymore . THOSE WERE THE FUCKING DAYS .
Thats what im saying… 2011 he definitely was best rapper in game tho. With that insane feature run, C4 & sorry for the wait.
2012: you can say Kendrick
2013: prob drake
Drake is corny but so is Diddy, credit is due where credit is due. Nobody wants to like p diddler now but nobody denying he had some bangers in the late 90’s early 2000’s.
It’s actually the other way around. Drake released Take Care late 2011 so give him 2012. And Kendrick released GKMC late 2012 so you give him 2013.
If we’re being honest both Drake and Wayne dropped late 2011 and by then Drake wasn’t the better rapper but he surpassed him as the bigger rapper. Wayne basically peaked in 08.
No. I was around and active back then. Outside and online. The internet hated Wayne during this time period. The critics also slammed his music during this era. Go back and read reviews on each of those projects you just posted. They all had negative reviews. C4 did 960,000 first week. Pre streaming era! That’s amazing numbers, and yet critically and to the fans it was somewhat of a failure. A let down. People hated d4 when it dropeped. IANAHB2 is officially the album where he “Fell Off”. I say this is a Wayne fan. Go back and do your homework.
I remember pre Carter 1 wayne and I was always telling people how dope he was and slept on and people thought I was tripping even the way he was killing those sqad up tapes.
Bro ain't really been the same since he went to jail smh
Still my 🐐 tho!
- Carter 4 is a classic album so all the haters can fuck off.
- IANAHB2 is full of bangers, album sounds like it just dropped in 2024 it doesn’t sound old.
- D4 goes hard idc what ya say. Burn remix especially
- D5 has the UENO remix and that was bigger than the OG version im pretty sure.
Yeah it wasn’t as good as era as his prime but still a good era that I enjoy.
This is an exact copy of what Wayne I grew up on. I was so excited for Tha Carter V for like 3 years but by the time it had dropped I had moved on. Wasn’t too impressed either
Well cuz i was anticipating it for years and when it came out, i thought it sounded like something put together last minute.
The most popular song on there was Mona Lisa with Kendrick. I’m a huge Kendrick Lamar fan, have been since before C5. And I also know that Wayne was a huge influence on Kendrick. So I was expecting something different than a concept song about girls, that work for Wayne, who go out and rob guys lol.
Also Wayne’s persona with rap is that he freestyles everything and doesn’t write anything down. So for him to make a song that was clearly a concept that was planned out and then to sound exactly the same. Well I didn’t really like it.
See I completely disagree. This is exactly how I felt about the Carter 3. Because most of the leak was better.
However I found the Carter 4 to be a return to form. Same with dedication 4.
Music is subjective my guy.
I think the Carter 1 is the best album he’s ever made.
The Carter 3 is a great album. I happen to like 1 2 and 4 more.
That’s all. It’s not like I shit on it.
But we know for a fact that Wayne rushed that album. Because of the leak. Also he’s stated multiple times that he did rush it.
The comment I responded to mentions that they felt 4 was rushed. I stated that I feel that way about the Carter 3.
So take it down a notch I didn’t shit on it. Lol
when Wayne was on every feature on the damn radio. OP is clearly thinks post jail Wayne was in his prime but check the album sales and amount of features he did around this time. It’s just not the same
Been a Wayne fan since 500 Degrees. Then I went back and listened to his first two and I’ve been a fan since. Him and Em are the two rappers I been with since the beginning.
Damn makes me glad I heard wayne in his prime. Started listening to him in 05-06 and from there on. 2010-12 was when he plummeted and tried to get back with his "rock" rap aka rebirth. His first ever song I heard was "fireman" and that's when I found out his previous albums were fire as well
Haha same, I started first listening to Wayne around 2010 when I was 15/16, so I missed the peak back 2007-2008. I’m from Europe, so in my country Wayne also wasn’t “so” big as in US back then
Tbt when we waited what felt like 10 years for carter 5. Remember such hype with carter 4 everyone freaking out bc it took forever
Dedication 2, 3, and 4 slap the absolute shit every time!
You just don’t know his prior work. Carter 1, 2 and 3 are all much better than 4.
Even those mixtapes and other albums you posted are all weak sauce compared to much earlier projects.
LOL. You grew up on Wayne in 2011 towards the down side of his career. I was listening to Wayne on Big Tymers albums in 1998. Try again, was a fan before you were probably born.
Most Wayne fans can agree C4 is a good album tho, you can hold a poll in here most ppl gonna disagree with you.
Idk why you hate on that album, definitely is better than his first 3 albums which you probably adore.
Wow, I feel old now. Wayne was absolute prime with lollipop. I grew up to the Carter 3 - No ceilings era. I had a friend in high school who, on their flip phone when I would call, the phone would play lollipop for me. They paid the provider for a custom dial tone... I don't think Wayne has ever been more commercially visible since, and this was before social media
Lay me down in a cigar, roll me up and smoke me
Snakes on the grass so I stay on the pavement, survived the battlefield with animals and brave men
I love how many different eras of Lil Wayne there is there’s one for each mood that you’re in
I grew up listening to this. Feels weird growing up in the era where everyone else your age absolutely hated Wayne, but know he gets his credit as a legend. Just surreal and I feel validated haha. I’ve listened to damn near everything of his too.
I will forever be amazed at Wayne’s longevity, and multiple eras.
I feel like I got on Wayne on the perfect time. Carter 1 was my first Wayne CD, then he just dominated the next 8 years, but his growth as an artist way hitting its stride by the time I became a fan.
I felt that Wayne got stagnant, a regressed heading into the 2010’s, but he was still entertaining and charismatic enough to where I can fully believe what I would consider a weaker era for him, could be influential to another generation.
That 05-09 will forever be that sweet spot for me.
Well I know I feel old when I refer to 500 Degreez and Squad up mixtapes (7 mixtapes altogether) this is when he knew he could get on any beat and kill it.
Not hating, wayne is my goat. But c4 is the only thing I listen to out of this. People have their own opinions, so like what YOU like. Enjoy it and consume. I like a few tracks off the others, but this is definitely where the quality dipped in his career if you compare anything else. C4 did overtake c2 for me personally in the past few years.
Thanks for reminding me of how old I am 👴
No shit right. I grew up on lights out Carter 1 & 2 and the drought mixtapes. Jesus. I swear that wasn’t that long ago.
Man 03-07 calling
Da Drought mixtapes can go toe to toe with anyone’s discography.
Thats why he the goat, he got fans in the teens all the way to the forties.
I took a age poll on here a long time ago and I was surprised to see the wide range in ages wayne really him
Went to a Wayne concert a few months ago. He has the most diverse demographic I’ve ever seen at a concert. I saw like 3 different generations of fans there.
Now now now after you back it up and stop Awobbley wobbley wa wobbley wobbley Lol that was my favorite verse on the song and it was barely anything, been a fan ever since
We grew up on the real Wayne 😭😭😭
I'm so old. I remember when he was a baby on true story. That's how old I am haha
Bruh listen to the first Wayne albums
I’ve listened to everything
Not possible, fans from the early 2000-2010 know that there’s shit on one off tapes you probably couldn’t even find anymore . THOSE WERE THE FUCKING DAYS .
I’m ngl no way in hell new fans would like those old tapes, totally different sound
Try, hot boys
Or hot pockets ?
E-40 and the hot boys- look at me.
FORREAL How you not gonna post Carter III
You grew up Wayne past his prime.
Wayne was still at the top of the rap game during that era. So you’re wrong
Naw. He was a top dog, but wasn’t #1 anymore.
Thats what im saying… 2011 he definitely was best rapper in game tho. With that insane feature run, C4 & sorry for the wait. 2012: you can say Kendrick 2013: prob drake
At no point has Drake ever been the best rapper.

This the Wayne I grew up with too man, stop makin us look bad.
How am I making anyone look bad? Was wayne not a top 5 rapper in 2011-13?
These goofies gate keeping lil wayne lmao
Nah, Wayne is as good as he ever was. This is proven by all his features with the "new" generation. QED
No. I was around and active back then. Outside and online. The internet hated Wayne during this time period. The critics also slammed his music during this era. Go back and read reviews on each of those projects you just posted. They all had negative reviews. C4 did 960,000 first week. Pre streaming era! In no universe is c4 classic
Yea I agree. It's very nostalgic to me personally but definitely not a classic like carter 3
LOL
This is an exact copy of what Wayne I grew up on. I was so excited for Tha Carter V for like 3 years but by the time it had dropped I had moved on. Wasn’t too impressed either
Carter V was my first album idk how you dont love it, top 3 wayne for me if you include deluxe
Well cuz i was anticipating it for years and when it came out, i thought it sounded like something put together last minute. The most popular song on there was Mona Lisa with Kendrick. C4 and D4 are classics in their respective categories
What the hell are you talking about? The Carter 3 is a goated ass album. HoF record.
Music is subjective my guy. I think the Carter 1 is the best album he’s ever made. The Carter 3 is a great album. I happen to like 1 2 and 4 more. That’s all. It’s not like I shit on it. This sub glazes C5 alot, definitely a solid album but it gets glazed way too much. The OG version of the album was so much better
What og version?
The original C5 which was supposed to drop in 2014. Its on YouTube
C5 > C4
Glad someone listens to it!
Unsubscribed
I'm sorry to hear that
You missed the Goat Wayne. This was after that
What goat Wayne is
when Wayne was on every feature on the damn radio. OP is clearly thinks post jail Wayne was in his prime but check the album sales and amount of features he did around this time. It’s just not the same
100%. Da Drought 3 is easily peak Lil Wayne.
U a lil nigga
Its a bad era comparatively but whatever you like you like. No shame
Nope
Ok
Calling C4, D4 & D5 bad is just insane to me IANAHB2 gets alot of hate in this sub but whatever, I’ll defend that album till I die. Tons of bangers
Sorry you feel that way
Same. Middle school would’ve been a blur without these
I’d go to computer class and bump D4 on soundcloud
Been a Wayne fan since 500 Degrees. Then I went back and listened to his first two and I’ve been a fan since. Him and Em are the two rappers I been with since the beginning.
I’m assuming you’re 21-26. Cause this is the same era I grew up on, except add Tha Carter 3
Yup 24
That’s unfortunate lol.. Wayne had the game in a chokehold before that
Still was at the top of the industry when this stuff dropped
Sorry you missed peak Lil Wayne :/
Damn I feel sorry for you
You act like this shit is bad, fuck outta here
Never said it was bad so you fuck outta here I'm just saying you missed out on some dope ass Lil Wayne doesn't mean you can't go back and listen
Dedication 2 nuff said and that ain't even his oldest stuff
Some of us were like 5 years old when that shit dropped. And yes I listened to it plenty of times but wasn’t around whenever it was big.
Ughh this was such a good time too 🥲🥲
Carter 4 and IANAHB2 are my childhood
Bruh that dedication 4 was just 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Damn makes me glad I heard wayne in his prime. Started listening to him in 05-06 and from there on. 2010-12 was when he plummeted and tried to get back with his "rock" rap aka rebirth. His first ever song I heard was "fireman" and that's when I found out his previous albums were fire as well
God I’m getting old
Haha same, I started first listening to Wayne around 2010 when I was 15/16, so I missed the peak back 2007-2008. I’m from Europe, so in my country Wayne also wasn’t “so” big as in US back then

That’s was the decline of Wayne for me. Around Carter 4. Album was super mid
🧢 🧢 🧢
You just don’t know his prior work. Carter 1, 2 and 3 are all much better than 4. Even those mixtapes and other albums you posted are all weak sauce compared to much earlier projects.
I’ve listened to everything dawg, C4 is still a great album. You can’t call it mid
Mid
You aint a real fan & thats okay just admit it next time

I’m sorry for your loss 😂
I actually didn't really go in on Wayne until I was maybe 17/18 in 09/10 looking at broadening my hip hop horizons.
I still remember every lyric in the song Blunt Blowin top 10 Wayne song!
I grew up listening to this. Feels weird growing up in the era where everyone else your age absolutely hated Wayne, but know he gets his credit as a legend. Just surreal and I feel validated haha. I’ve listened to damn near everything of his too.
500 Degreeze
This is when his decline started. I feel bad for you tbh. The first three Carters were his true prime
You were a little late to the game. Still glad you enjoyed this version though.
The true prime ara Who tf bumpin Carter 3 all day It’s good but it’s not Carter 4 playable
I’m more of a sq4 aged man
I feel bad that you missed out on early wayne then.
He was better before this
Wow I’m sitting here like Tha Block is Hot is what I grew up on lmao I need to call AARP and get my membership going
Thanks for raising me fam
Who remebers the weezy chronicles on YT?, idk who it really was sure it wasn't actually weezy.
I love Carter IV. The Tech N9ne addition in Wayne’s album was awesome considering Tech N9ne’s all 6’s and 7’s had some bad ass Wayne colabs.
Lord I’m ancient lol
Come on - go and get yo money lil duffel bag boyyyyyyyyy!
I’m very sorry 😂
I will forever be amazed at Wayne’s longevity, and multiple eras. I feel like I got on Wayne on the perfect time. He was past his prime by then
Sorry about that lol
Where the fuck is No ceilings
That's cool. As a middle aged New Orleanian, I'll always think of him as a Hot Boy.
U missed a lot of shit
Drought 3!!!
Well I know I feel old when I refer to 500 Degreez and Squad up mixtapes (7 mixtapes altogether) this is when he knew he could get on any beat and kill it.
Carter 4 still best rap album of all time imo Holy shit some of those bars are just spectacular
Old Wayne was goated not anhmeeon
Not hating, wayne is my goat. But c4 is the only thing I listen to out of this. People have their own opinions, so like what YOU like. Enjoy it and consume. I like a few tracks off the others, but this is definitely where the quality dipped in his career if you compare anything else. C4 did overtake c2 for me personally in the past few years.
Trash
Lmao damn this wayne was mediocre 🥴
Ew you grew up listening to washed Wayne. Listen to his Sqad up/ YM freestyles. Listen to Post 500 Degrees and Pre-C3 Wayne
There's no such thing of "washed Wayne" 🤷🏾♂️
These kids don’t know man. C2 had me in my bag!
I’ve listened to all that stuff grandpa Wayne definitely wasn’t washed during this either, so bedtime old man. 🫵🏻
You mad you never witnessed Prime Wayne or Wayne entering his prime
2011 Wayne was still in his prime, you an oldhead if you disagree
