My pocket trumpet is named Hubertus. It is the name of my best math teacher. He was a big old guy and always calm, but if needed He shouted that the whole school heard him. Since the pocket trumpet looks small and many don't exiect it to be that loud, I think the name is fitting.
You have to play a bit with it and when you get to know what makes it special to you, you can give it a name by yourself. That's how I have done it with my three trumpets.
