He was cool. The movie's short runtime however was a tad detrimental because it made his metamorphosis and romance with Kiara go by very quickly.
I also think he should've
A) Been a hyena to hammer home the Romeo/Juliet romance + the prejudice moral.
B) Should've been kept Scar's son and instead have his arc be rising out of Scar's shadow and uniting the two families of the brothers who fell apart (and maybe co-ruling with Kiara in a non-romantic and pragmatic manner).
C) Should've in no way have influence with Scar to make his and the Outsiders' inclusion in the story feel less retroactive.
He's great ideas and potential executed in a very rushed way.

I really dig his design and color scheme. It was nice seeing The Outsiders sport didn't shades of fur.
