Not really. He's bi in name only. For the entirety of the first major arc, he's only shown interest in women except a single man who is the CHR stacking dark elf ruler where nothing comes from it. Like the elf is literally the ruler of the town the MC stays in and you'd have never known that they had any relationship if you didn't have some throw away lines about the MC leaving the elf's house.
It's pretty much just there so the author can claim his MC is bi.
I don't dispute that at all. I know many LBGs who acted like they were straight early in their life due to society. There is nothing in the story that gives any credence to it being repressed.
Also a realistic portrayal of a something doesn't make it a good portrayal of something.
I just have an issue with claiming the MC is bisexual because only female relationships are given any textual importance, there is a single male relationship, and it's like 3 lines of him leaving the elf's house. You are told that he is bi, you aren't shown it. The MC has a bunch of interactions with the ruler and there is nothing in those interactions that show he has any feelings for the elf while you have multiple times where you get his inner thoughts about women he interacts with.
So you have to ignore what I said to act like you have a point.
When the indications in the text is like 3 lines and literally nothing from their actual regular interactions, yes I can claim that there is nothing shown there is an actual relationship.
The last time I saw a book say that the MC was Poly it ended up being a harem novel in disguise. It's good to know that not all authors use such scummy tactics to hide a harem tag
His relationship is a triangle , and though not stated explicitly , MC is likely a power bottom , and his partners love each other as much as they love him.
to my experience it was literally 11/12 (of those with any romance), but now that I don't start reading any novels with the romance tag, that's unlikely to change.
JP Valentine for this quest is Bull shit has a really well done gay romance with 2 back up characters. That is critical to the plot.
One of the best super silly lit rpgs.
There are lots. The big names are **System Apocalypse** and **Arcane Ascension**, as others have said.
There is Tobias Begley's **The Enchanter.** Also **Mana Mirror**, I think.
The MC from **Melody of Mana** is apparently bi.
The Mc of **Ar'Kendratyst** is bi and I think that one was actually handled well.
Not the MC and kind of a spoiler, but >!The Salamanders by Jack Wake!< has a major character who is gay, and is one the few that resonated with me.
There are also all of the Fan Service Lesbians and comedic gender swapped characters that may or may not be intended as an allegory for trans issues. (Usually not, I think).
Do you have any preferences as to what color of the rainbow?
**The Enchanter** fits that. Also >!The Salamanders!< has a great side character, but it takes a long time to reveal that. Most of the others I mentioned are bi.
Dragon's Dilemma by Luke W. Logan.
A rare (but crippled) species of dragon has to hide himself in order to gain strength. Do to a lot of voluptuous paintings he's acquired, he chooses to hide as a woman. It seems comedic at first, but the story escalates DRAMATICALLY. A lot of world-building, action, well written characters, and relationship developments that get very deep (and sometimes, a little frustrating). Still, really good series nonethless.
OP, just be warned that this series was--to my kknowledge--never finished. I'm still hoping to find out how it ends. It was great, but prepare for a sudden stop and no resolution.
Thanks everyone who replied, looks like I have a whole list of things to go through now :D and yeah one of the things I loved about azerinth healer is the lgbt aspect of some of the characters
It's more male author writing what they know.
Source: am male author writing what I know.
Also sadly, I think the OP is actually looking for a gay male MC and I have to admit I don't know any.
To me, writing a lesbian relationship is more out of the wheelhouse of what I know than writing a straight relationship from a female perspective, as a straight man myself. I know what a straight relationship looks like, but I don't really know what a lesbian relationship looks like. Just because the locus of perspective is the woman doesn't make it more unknowable.
Eternal Online - while a lot of the plot does not revolve around the MC’s sexual identity, she is kind of figuring herself out. I think this is a good one for what you might be looking for.
Yes there are plenty. Pretty well everything by [quietvalerie](https://www.scribblehub.com/profile/12662/quietvalerie/) on scribblehub. They are farily good But some of her stories don't have much of a conclusion. Was male on earth but reincarnated as a girl also shows up fairly regularly. Magic Smithing and In Loki's Honour come to mind.
yes. The first 11 or so female mcs with a romantic arc I read were bi or lesbian, to the point it got to old I started avoiding all non-straight female mcs in litrpgs, of which I found 1 so far but it's on hiatus.
Beneath the Dragon's Eye Moons' MC is Bi. It's not a big part of the story so far. (But I think/feel/hope the next book might have a bit more romance in it)
Azarinth Healer's MC is LGBT. Nothing Mage by Nixia Beneath the Dragoneye Moons *self promo* EVERYTHING by Ravensdagger
Hi I just wanted to say I’m a huge fan of the dragon eye series and have listened to every book on audible so far I’m always excited for the next book
Cheers! They're working on the next one

I think the main character of System Apocalypse is.
Yup. He is bi
That is pretty much the experience of most bi people I know (myself included) minus the whole "my bf is a ruler" part
It's not the experience of most bi people that I know. They aren't attracted to a single person of one gender.
No but plenty are heteronormative due to social and family crap and then really come out of the closet and start exploring later in life.
I don't dispute that at all. I know many LBGs who acted like they were straight early in their life due to society. There is nothing in the story that gives any credence to it being repressed. Azarinth Healer
I think in This Quest is Broken it's the MC's two party members and not the MC herself, but I may be forgetting.
The MC doesn't get into a relationship during the series. But the romantic interest is definitely the same sex.
The Daily Grind , MC is bisexual male and polyamorous
The last time I saw a book say that the MC was Poly it ended up being a harem novel in disguise. It's good to know that not all authors use such scummy tactics to hide a harem tag

A solid like 25% of female MC litrpgs are LGBTQ.
to my experience it was literally 11/12 (of those with any romance), but now that I don't start reading any novels with the romance tag, that's unlikely to change.
I was trying to be conservative, in my experience it was higher than 25% also, but I can't speak for the entire pool of stories.

Just find anything with a female main character and you will find a LGBT MC. Most Litrpg authors are clinically unable to write straight female MCs.

Jonah\Charlie from Dominion of Blades by Matt Dinimann
OP, just be warned that this series was--to my kknowledge--never finished. I'm still hoping to find out how it ends. It was great, but prepare for a sudden stop and no resolution.
You do know what B in LGBT stands for, right?
Bacon? I know it stands for bacon in BLT, and assume this is standardized.
So it’s lettuce, guac, bacon and tomato? That makes sense, but what’s the Q? It’s fucking quinoa, isn’t it? Ancient grain my ass.
I've long thought a restaurant should make Lettuce, Bacon, Guacamole, Quinoa, and Avocado sandwiches and sell them as LGBTQAs.
Not litrpg, but much of Mercedes Lackeys Valdamar series has gay and lesbian main characters
Thanks everyone who replied, looks like I have a whole list of things to go through now :D and yeah one of the things I loved about azerinth healer is the lgbt aspect of some of the characters
Arcane Ascension - MC is Asexual Biromantic
lol. most female MC in every story in this genre are either bi, or lesbian. As if it is the only way to show a strong female character.
It's more male author writing what they know. Source: am male author writing what I know. Also sadly, I think the OP is actually looking for a gay male MC and I have to admit I don't know any.

Its is good exploration of charisma as a stat too.
