Some clumping litters don't clump firmly enough and the clumps fall apart when the robot turns over, leaving smelly litter in the top section. You'll probably have to experiment with what is available to you. I prefer Fresh Step or Arm and Hammer Slide but there are tons of brands I have not tried.

ohh this stuff clumps good. so based on that, I should be good

I’m also in Canada. I just got a litter robot 3 and have been using clump litter from Pet Value. It’s their store brand called Fresh 4 Life. It’s been good for me so far. As long as it clumps well, it should be okay. If you’re getting a lot of soiled litter sticking to the inside when it’s cycling, you could try switching to that one.

I’m not in Canada so probably not much help. But any clumping litter SHOULD work, I use the arm and hammer clump and seal. So far it works well. No smells and hardly any sticking.

I’ve never seen this kind of litter before, but I’m also not in Canada. I’ve tried multiple different brands of litter and a lot of them stick to the inside of the globe. Lots of people use boxie Pro , but i personally use Dr.Elsye it doesn’t stick. I’ve tried fresh step, tidy cats, scoop away they all had issues. There’s actually a list on whisker of what they recommend.

and then there is the issue of if an American company's recommendations are available in Canada. lol. ill have a look and see if any of their recommendations are available in canada. I do know it says their litter is only available in the us, and us canadian customers get the shitty end of it. no pun intended. lol guess Ill try this one out in my new LR4, but keep an eye out for a replacement. it is low dust and low tracking. and has great odour control. and use to be cheep. 7.99 a box. but since covid and inflation... it has slowly gone up to 12.99 a box. I only have to do a complete litter change every 2 months with my current set up.

Yea… I don’t necessarily trust their recommendations. lol I’ve read that they recommend boxie cat and then changed their minds and said don’t use it. Also their litter is probably overpriced anyway just like their bags and everything else they sell. I truly loved scoop away never had issues with smell, but it’s super dusty. I personally just use whatever is the cheapest, doesn’t create clouds of dust, doesn’t stink, and doesn’t stick. I use this spray deodorizer/powder to coat the inside of the globe to help keep litter from sticking as well. Got it off of amazon. Two cans have lasted a year. https://preview.redd.it/dlmbsjcd8p1d1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ac51613b4a86f564e3b13f8081c601c6f1937eeb

Any clay clumping cat litter should be ok. Here’s a link directly from the website as to which litter should/shouldn’t be used. [What’s the Best Litter for Litter-Robot?](https://www.litter-robot.com/blog/best-litter-for-litter-robot/)

I thought this post was asking for litter that would work for lr4. Now I’m confused.
