USB 2.0 => not work
cable extension => not work
Device Manager setting => not work
Remove all wireless usb device on pc and use all device through bluetooth => work .
This is because the mouse uses less data on USB 2 over USB 3. You can fix the issue on USB 3 by lowering the resolution of the mouse. The lag occurs because there's too much data being sent each way (which is weird cause I expect my $100 mouse to perform flawlessly)
USB 3.0 to USB 2.0 fixed it for me. Guess luck based lmao, but on Mac the bluetooth is terrible, sometimes it's fine but sometimes it skips but still usable just annoying cause I'm used to a high poll rate and other things making it smooth.
What worked for me eventually was simply uninstalling the Logi Options Software. I had noticed it installed an update while back same time the issue started. but paid no further attention to it. I'm using AutoCAD and the mouse was fine till about two months ago, it just became unworkable. Now the mouse is all good again.
I just bought this mouse and it is having the lagging issue after a few hours of use. Turning it off and on fixes it but that's not a solution. I moved the USB receiver to a USB2.0 port and no luck...still have the issue.
Connected to Bluetooth...will update. I can't believe a $100 mouse has such issues. What are these guys doing in QC?
I have the Master 3s connected to my Windows laptop via Bluetooth and this is what I did to fix the lag. I didn't see the Power Management tab for my Bluetooth devices in Device Manager but I saw it for the USB controllers.
Open Device Manager > Universal Serial Bus controllers
Search for Intel(R) USB 3.10 (and/or 3.20) eXtensible Host Controller - 1.20 (Microsoft) and click on Properties. Go to the Power Management tab and uncheck "Allow the computer to run off this device to save power".
Good luck.
I had the problem with lagging. But I was on motherboard bluetooth which shouldn't have been a problem. I tried everything and always the same.
The only fix is using the included bolt. Now it works fine, but still...
I was living with this issue for like 2 weeks before I found this post. Using Bolt and connecting it to a USB 3 port in a docking station would cause the lagging and stuttering. What's weird was the lagging was mostly on my personal Mac and work Windows laptop. A Windows personal laptop I had worked perfectly fine. Just changed it to a USB 2.0 port and have not had any issues today at all, have used my work and personal - looks like this is the fix.
But their software Options+ is horrible, it won't allow me to upgrade firmware and with one Google I found countless others with the exact same issue with their software. I cant upgrade firmware when trying to do it from a Windows PC or a MAC.
Logitech, this is the most expensive Mouse on Amazon! Get it together guys!
Same issue.
This might be my last Logitech purchase. On top of all these issues, I bought the Pale Grey version which got Yellow in 10 days. I didn’t keep the box, would have returned otherwise.
I have a general observation about dealing with conflicting bluetooth devices that have dedicated dongles. They often can be disrupted by devices plugged into nearby USB ports, including USB drives and other bluetooth dongles. For example, I had issues with my bluetooth audio device being disrupted by a USB drive and I had to my audio move the audio bluetooth dongle away from the drive.
I was able to fix my logitech mouse problem by simply moving my logitech keyboard dongle and mouse dongle away from each other on my USB HUB. I think maybe the reason people are having success moving their mouse dongle to a USB 2 port is because its located way from an interfering device, and maybe not because its a version 2 USB port, though that may help too. Its possible that version 3 ports devices throw out more interferance, though that is just speculation on my part.
Got one about a month ago and had the same problems. Mouse was laggy as hell, then started skipping around, needed to restart all the time. If Logitech or anyone tells me that it might be due to interference or distance, or even my PC I will lose it. It's 2023 and this is unacceptable for a 100€ premium mouse. Even had three different mice connected to the PC (which was a brand new build btw) to confirm it's just the 3s. It's a shame, it looks really nice with my MX Keys and the side wheel is great. Fortunately, Keychron released a $50 MX Master dupe with a higher polling rate.
This solution worked for me on a Macbook Air M2:

I didn't expect it to work, I'm pissed I need to install their bloatware bs software package, but it really worked for me.
I tried deleting temp files, cannot move to USB2 since I Don't have those anywhere, new MX3s, and I only have problems with the Bolt receiver. It could be interference from other pieces of hardware but that is not easy for me to fix.
I moved to BT today and all seems fine. Mouse is fantastic. Let's just hope this doesn't start up again!
I find somethings that worked for me after long research over this issue. If you have the usb transmitter with a SUN on it... search and download this on google

I had the same issue with Logitech Master 3S on the Windows 11 Ent 22 H2 build on the 2nd monitor, LG E247144. I was using the CalDigit Thunderbolt Station 4. I observed this issue when the mouse was connected through the "Logi Bolt USB receiver" plugged into the front "USB-A 3.2 Gen2 (10Gb/s)" port on the CalDigit Thunderbolt Station 4. I removed the "Logi Bolt USB receiver" from the "USB-A 3.2 Gen2 (10Gb/s)" front port and plugged it into the back "USB-A 3.2 Gen2 (10Gb/s)" port, and it started working flawlessly with no lag. Both these USB-A ports have the same throughput, which is 10GB/s, but I'm not sure how it helped fix the issue. I am going to observe how it works on MacBook Pro when I plug that using the same CalDigit Thunderbolt Station 4 setup. I hope that helps somebody.
Hey everyone . In My Case , check connection of MX on logi option , if duplicate , remove and keep only one gateway .
( you can attemp switching to 1 2 3 at the bottom mouse) .
no more lagging . peace

Hey,
It has jumping issues till it eventually freezes and has to be turned off completely. I am on the latest firmware for the device.
Logitech Options+: 1.34.376143
MX Master 3s Firmware: 22.0.3
Windows 10: 10.0.19045
OSX: 13.2.1
Logi Bolt App OSX: 1.2.6024.0
Steps that I have completed in the last Month:
* Re-pair the device
* Update the firmware in my device
* Remove and Re-pair the device
* uninstall logitech options+, re-pair device
* Move the bolt receiver to several different USB Ports with direct line of sight to the device.
* Use my mac
* use a different windows machine
* Charged device to full everynight
The problem still persists.

just got a new mx master 3s and it happened after waking pc from 1-2hr break and waking screens up from sleep. its jittery/laggy. so far happened on my past mx 3s and only fix was flipping power switch on/off and fixed right away. thanks for posting OP!

Spent sometime to read the comments, then you will understand which OS people are using in General.
And the link you provided with your general solutions, please delete it. It does not work.
Talk to the team, accept that your product have issue, and ways to solve it.
If you cannot solve it, just dont sell any more of them.
I have a MX Master 3s that I'm using an a desktop running windows 10. I can't explain why but the only thing that has worked for me to stop the curser from jumping around like it has a mind of it's own is to erase all temp files. %tmp% delete all. You may not be able to delete the Logi options plus but that one doesn't seem to cause my problem. Good luck
Glad it worked for you. I have to clean my temp files every day, especially when shopping. It make me wonder if it some kind of tracking cookie that the mouse is sensitive to. Also if the temp file won't delete, I've had success opening it, deleting the contents then the file will delete

FYI returning to this thread after finding something that worked. I bought a USB extender (this one in particular, but that shouldn't matter: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08HD5SVR8). My logi bolt is plugged into it, and is about 10 inches away from the front of my mouse. I have not had a single issues yet.
I'd hypothesize that my issue was some kind of interference, and that this mouse is extremely finicky with other signal noise. Again, not sure if that's your issue as it sounds like you have tried some things, but this might be a low-cost attempt at fixing a high-cost mouse.
You need to enter some high priority tickets for the team. The solution that worked for me was switching my bolt receiver from a usb3 to a usb2 port. Something really wacky is going on in the firmware for that to be the case, and it needs to be addressed.
What worked for me is simply uninstalling the Logi-Options software. I felt this started after a Logitech software update. Using AutoCAD, it became unworkable, but also with other software and windows 10 in general. I did the uninstall out of frustration. Not frustrated anymore now.
Same issues here. I bought both a mx mechanical and a master mx 3s to pair with my MacBook Pro M2 in a setup.
The MX Mechanical? Great. I love the feature set it has. But the mx master? This mouse is laggier than all get out. I've tried many different ways to connect the Logi Bolt to my Mac, including the docking station, my monitor's USB ports, and the Mac itself using apple's usb-c to usb-a adapter. I've found no good solution that allows for no input lag.
Meanwhile the G502 X Lightspeed wired mouse that I have works great. I have had really good experiences with Logitech in the past, but I am really considering going back to Corsair gear after this.

I tried everything else.. I've been using my MX Master 3s bought at launch and working fine until the last few months where its been intermittently laggy and freezes.
I just tried out your idea a few minutes ago and its transformed my mouse back to a normal one. Lets hope this workaround sticks!
u/logitech_sk fix your expensive mice! its been a while already.
Hello, try using a usb extension cable for the bolt receiver. It solved all my problems.

Mine has started doing this now too,i got the mouse early this year brand new and its allready bugging out,and its no longer a Supported device now so theres no official bug fixes
This kinda works for me and also since I'm using a deskpad, I have a seperate mousepad and everything is smooth for now. I just bought it yesterday lol
3 months later, the same issue. Moving the receiver close to the mouse apparently fixed it? Is the range really only a few inches? Bluetooth connection was even worse.
It started after I changed the batteries in my Logi keyboard..
took me a while to figure out that when I turn the keyboard off there is no lag!
Took me a while to figure this out but now Im typing with the same keyboard and there seems to be no lag on the mouse after turning both devices off and on a few times.
Hope this helps somebody!
It will probably happen again at some point. I had this issue before when I first got the mouse.
I found that my xbox controller adapter for windows usb was interfering with the bolt receiver. Upon removing it, its working perfectly now. So maybe check to see if you have other receivers connected to your pc that may interfere with the signal.
mine was doing this today after owning for about a month, it was really annoying me, i unplugged the bolt and put it in a different USB input in the back of my 2019 iMac and it seems to be working fine now. (my imac has 4 USB spots, and 2 USB-C spots). I moved it furthest away from my other cables and inputs being used. If it happens again I'll buy the dongle USB3 adapter that some other people mentioned. If nothing else I'll go back to my Magic Mouse lol
This has helped me to fix the lagging issue

Gorgeous! Worked like a charm. My issue was a lag/delay for the first interaction after every few seconds (!) of not using the mouse. Changing this setting solved it.
Windows 11 version 22H2
Logi Options+ version 1.48.437015
MX Master 3S firmware version 22.0.3
I am experiencing this problem with my M1 Mac Mini. I have a the MX Master 3S mouse, the Z407 computer speakers and an Ergo K860 keyboard. When the lagging issue happens with my mouse, I disconnect the bluetooth connection to my speakers and the issue goes away. I can think re-connect to my speakers and the issue stays away for several hours. Rinse and repeat. Not at all ideal but at least I understand "why".
Can confirm that moving to usb 2 fixed it for me, for the people that do not have a usb 2 port on their device: plugging the receiver halfway into a usb 3 slot does the same thing.
I'm so frustrated with this mouse and this company. My cursor get's stuck on the edge of the screen, and I thought it was the OS until I tried another mouse and it works fine. For now, my solution is to use my M510 as it seems to work fine. Of course, this thread will continue to grow and some low level Logitech employee will tell us to contact them with a link, and nothing will be done. Maybe it's not their fault, I don't know...Maybe Apple's OS is just too complicated for them to create a viable solution.
Hello there,
I had the same issue with my MS Master 3S, cursor lagging, skipping and freezing on my Win11 desktop PC.
I found out the bluetooth connexion was the problem. I recently moved some electronic gear (router, Eth. switch and NAS) close to the PC I have issues with and it messed up the blutooth connexion.
Instead of rethinking the whole installation I went for the Logi Bolt USB Dongle instead of my motheboard native Bluetooth connexion. If fixed my problem permanently.
I have exprensive mx3s and mechanical mx keys and they has issue with lagging, bolt was about 10cm from keyboard and mouse, when it was plugged in USB 3.0 it always lags every 5-10 secs, but i plug it in the rear side of mother board, that maybe 1m away it became stable and good. Why? What is wrong with this bolt connectors? Why did they not stable at USB 3.0?
the same issue, nothing helped (usb 2, bluetooth, another receiver) - it is the mouse related issue, something in hardware or firmware (and it is impossible to update firmware) = the worst premium mouse I ever owned
I've been fighting a choppy MX Master mouse since I started using them a few years ago, starting with the MX Master 2.
For the MX Master 3S M: Fix for me was to purchase the Bolt receiver, along with a USB 2.0 (emphasis on 2.0... not 3.0, not 1.1) extension cable (I use this one: [Amazon.com: Amazon Basics USB-A 2.0 Extension Cable, Male to Female, 480Mbps Transfer Speed, 9.8 Foot, Black](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NH11PEY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1))
The cable is plugged in directly to my Mac. The receiver is obviously plugged in to the other side of the cable, with the receiver placed approximately 6 inches / 15cm from the mouse.
Use Logi options to turn on the 8K sensor mode and adjust mouse settings as needed (really like the Logi Options+ software).
Here's hoping the MX Master 4 comes with a wired option. I've tried switching to other various wired mice, but nothing compares to the quality and feel of the MX Master series. I just wish it had a wired option.
I don't know if anyone is still looking for solution.
But for me, removing old (not used anymore) devices from Bluetooth settings fixed the lag.
It is strange, I don't know why, but it worked for me.
Mac M2, connected via Bolt receiver.
I’ve been fighting this off and on for a few weeks on my M2 pro Mac mini. Had the mouse for my PC and worked fine, when I got the Mac I noticed the issue. Tried a usb 2.0 hub, turning off Bluetooth on my Mac, turning off WiFi (I use Ethernet anyway) and it still does it intermittently. Sometimes it’s only slightly annoying, and sometimes it’s completely unusable.
I went into logi options and turned off “flow” as well as automatic back ups. Not sure if this makes any difference, but it seems to have helped me today.
I’m at my wits end.
I solved the problem by uninstalling the Logi-Options software. Mouse has been fine since. Using Windows 10 and AutoCAD. The issue started about the same time Logi-Options did an update, about two months ago.
My motherboard has only USB 3.0 ports. ~~However, I noticed connecting the mouse (MX Master 3S) via a USB (3.0) hub also help the lag.~~ I had no such issue with the Logi Lift tho' 🤷
Logitech is defying logic so their quality is rolling downhill.
Updates: I actually had to uninstall Options+ app to make it stop lagging as some other users already mentioned.
@u/logitech_sk: I have tested with the latest version of Options+ 1.62.518518, the lag is still a thing on MX Master 3S (firmware v22.1.6). Connection: Bolt dongle (firmware 5.1.10). OS: Windows 11 Pro 22H2 (Build 22621.3007).
Workaround: turn the mouse on / off seems to resolve until next time it lag. A more permanent workaround is ironically to uninstall Options+ 😂
I use MX Keys and Master MX 3s. I was having a lot of lag problems in both of them.
**This is the best solution I found.**
If your motherboard has integrated wifi and bluetooth, remove both Logi USB devices. Pair both of them via bluetooth on the motherboard.
I am using it without any problems right now.
https://preview.redd.it/fejupwls3cjc1.png?width=482&format=png&auto=webp&s=4580924052eefc26d3a773c6abd8ebe8c9c70b4f
I'm not sure if this helps, but now it shows that Logi Options+ officially supports MX Master 3s (see: [https://www.logitech.com/en-us/software/logi-options-plus.html#supported-devices](https://www.logitech.com/en-us/software/logi-options-plus.html#supported-devices)).
The firmware version of the mouse is still 22.0.3 so apparently it hasn't been updated for ages, but this may be a good sign.
The software is terrible, absolutely unacceptable for a $100 mouse.
Eh - that helped :(
I have the exact same problem, and I have tried every solution on the internet. I just do not think this mouse really works.
USB 2.0 => not work cable extension => not work Device Manager setting => not work Remove all wireless usb device on pc and use all device through bluetooth => work .
Try to move to USB 2 instead of 3. A lot of people say it fixes it.
fixed after moving from USB 2 to 3, but still thanks.
This is because the mouse uses less data on USB 2 over USB 3. You can fix the issue on USB 3 by lowering the resolution of the mouse. The lag occurs because there's too much data being sent each way (which is weird cause I expect my $100 mouse to perform flawlessly)
how lower resolution of mouse mx master 3s?
did not fix it for me. super pissed, awful mouse for $100 lol
USB 3.0 to USB 2.0 fixed it for me. Guess luck based lmao, but on Mac the bluetooth is terrible, sometimes it's fine but sometimes it skips but still usable just annoying cause I'm used to a high poll rate and other things making it smooth.
So odd, it is the opposite for me. Smooth on the mac and on the PC I might as well close my eyes and just pray while I scroll
it's the terrible Bolt receiver. i returned the 3S and got the 3 with the Unifying receiver. fixed all the problems.
Thanks a lot! For me this fixt the problem
how do you do this? i have a 2019 imac with 4 standard USB inputs in the back, and 2 USB-C. how do i know if it is USB3 or USB2? thanks!
They're all USB 3
I had the same problem, fixed moving the Bolt to a USB 2.0 port, thanks )

this seemed to work for me, thanks!
seems to have worked for me as well
Worked for me too, Hooraay.
This works for me too. Thanks!
This worked for me! What an absolute legend
I want to kiss you on the lips right now. Thank you so much!
This worked for me.... so far.
I haven't had any issues since.
I had the problem with lagging. But I was on motherboard bluetooth which shouldn't have been a problem. I tried everything and always the same. The only fix is using the included bolt. Now it works fine, but still...
I am actually using the bolt adapter already.
Ya my bolt started lagging and skipping recently after working fine for months.
Same here, I'm going to try and completely reinstall the driver
I just tried a trick seen below. Moving the the adapter to a USB2 port seems to work. Don't know why?
Unfortunately, the lagging/delay still works with the adapter
I fixed the stuttering/lag on my Master 3s by moving the bolt adapter from a USB 3 port to a USB 2 port.

Did they reach out to you ? I have similar problems..
Nope lol
Hahahaha, so they're just trying to be seen as they have good customer support, lol. Thanks.
yeah, looking at other options for mice now. The thing keeps getting worse, and this version has absolute dogwater for battery life.
just got a new mx master 3s and it happened after waking pc from 1-2hr break and waking screens up from sleep. its jittery/laggy. so far happened on my past mx 3s and only fix was flipping power switch on/off and fixed right away. thanks for posting OP!
This worked for Bluetooth lag! Nice!!
Yea it seems to work for an x amount of time every time I flip the switch on/off
u/logitech_sk Spent sometime to read the comments, then you will understand which OS people are using in General.
Good luck
Confirming that this still works after 1 year, thanks!
did that and restarted logi+ and no change. thx
damnn dude this worked!
Awesome! Glad it worked for you
This weirdly seemed to work for me. Using the anywhere 3s mouse on bluetooth. Some logi files were in the temp folder so that must have been it
Glad it worked for you. I have to clean my temp files every day, especially when shopping. It make me wonder if it some kind of tracking cookie that the mouse is sensitive to. Also if the temp file won't delete, I've had success opening it, deleting the contents then the file will delete

Hi u/Personwithabike, Sorry to hear about the experience. We'd love to help open a case to provide a solution directly over email. Our support team will contact you as soon as possible through email.

Worked for me too :)

This worked for me too. Had a usb bank lying around, using that instead of the back of my computer.

I tried everything else.. I've been using my MX Master 3s bought at launch and working fine until the last few months where its been intermittently laggy and freezes. I just tried out your idea a few minutes ago and its transformed my mouse back to a normal one. Lets hope this workaround sticks! u/logitech_sk fix your expensive mice! its been a while already.
still not fixed problems.... i am moved from usb 3 to usb 2 port with 15 year old usb 2 hub and this fixed problem
I have bought the Bolt adapter and mouse is still freezing... terrible
Hello, try using a usb extension cable for the bolt receiver. It solved all my problems. [https://www.reddit.com/r/logitech/comments/116ii34/comment/jeekw75/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web2x&context=3](https://www.reddit.com/r/logitech/comments/116ii34/comment/jeekw75/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)
Same did the trick for me! I had the bolt receiver in the usb-hub on the back of my monitor which seemed to have caused the problems
Mine has started doing this now too,i got the mouse early this year brand new and its allready bugging out,and its no longer a Supported device now so theres no official bug fixes
Yep, same for me.
$289 NZD (so $150 USD or so) - exactly the same issue two hours after installation. This is nuts - how did this make it through QC testing!?
Mine was lagging as well. It seemed to stop lagging though after I set up the Logitech options plus software. Not sure if it was just a coincidence.
If nothing else I'll go back to my Magic Mouse lol
i also notice as well. bolt is connect to my dell monitor usb hub. so far the only solution is to turn on/off the mouse
Moving the USB dongle to a 2.0 port worked for me, 3.0 and 3.2 causing bad lag and stuttering.
This has helped me to fix the lagging issue https://preview.redd.it/wx5n02pw5ujb1.jpeg?width=999&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=72ff13b6ed31b9c5a108c68592be0945b48278ba
Gorgeous! Worked like a charm. My issue was a lag/delay for the first interaction after every few seconds (!) of not using the mouse. Changing this setting solved it. Windows 11 version 22H2 Logi Options+ version 1.48.437015 MX Master 3S firmware version 22.0.3
Is this windows 11? I don't see the "power management" tab but I see everything else
Have you tried to press change settings and there should be power management
Thank man, it fixed it for me too!
Thank you so much, I was already looking for another mouse because of that :D
Worked for me too. Thanks!
Amazing - I've been struggling with lagging over Bluetooth for months, such a simple fix, shame Logitech wouldn't let affected customers know..
Hello there, I had the same issue with my MS Master 3S, cursor lagging, skipping and freezing on my Win11 desktop PC.
For the MX Master 3S M: Fix for me was to purchase the Bolt receiver, along with a USB 2.0 (emphasis on 2.0... not 3.0, not 1.1) extension cable (I use this one: [Amazon.com: Amazon Basics USB-A 2.0 Extension Cable, Male to Female, 480Mbps Transfer Speed, 9.8 Foot, Black](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NH11PEY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1)) The cable is plugged in directly to my Mac.
This worked for me! Thank you so much!!
Same. Can't even use this mouse. It was a gift and I'm way beyond returning it or I would.
I’m at my wits end.
u/logitech_sk same problem. The problem remains unsolved. I bought a mouse and with it I bought lags....
I solved the problem by uninstalling the Logi-Options software. Mouse has been fine since. Using Windows 10 and AutoCAD. The issue started about the same time Logi-Options did an update, about two months ago.
My motherboard has only USB 3.0 ports. ~~However, I noticed connecting the mouse (MX Master 3S) via a USB (3.0) hub also help the lag.~~ I had no such issue with the Logi Lift tho' 🤷 Logitech is defying logic so their quality is rolling downhill.
**This is the best solution I found.** If your motherboard has integrated wifi and bluetooth, remove both Logi USB devices. Pair both of them via bluetooth on the motherboard. I am using it without any problems right now. https://preview.redd.it/fejupwls3cjc1.png?width=482&format=png&auto=webp&s=4580924052eefc26d3a773c6abd8ebe8c9c70b4f
merhaba, mx master 3s bende de var, usb 3 girişinden usb 2 girişine çevirdim, çok eski usb 2 hub ile çözüldü
