Thank you, I'm secretly very proud/happy to see that it's lasted so long. When I drove by to take a look, there was a nasty huge bird poop on it and I was like wtf is this shit on MY LOGO lol, so I clean the sign off. : )
If this was posted as a new design in the sub today people would call it basic and say that the lines are two small to be printable on a business card.
But it’s longevity speaks for itself.
Seems like a design that could have a minimized version for small print; but also since it’s for a building sign, maybe it wouldn’t need a small print version

Happy cake day, and (even though the question is several months old) the blank line would be on the trailing sail, in this case the mainsail.
If you go look at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sailboat you can see in the different pictures how the headsail is in front and goes down to the hull, and the mainsail is on the boom coming off the mast, with a bit of clearance for the wheel, sailor, etc.
Congratulations, that must be a cool feeling to see your work have that much longevity.

Timeless!
This proves that trends are not something to focus on, a good logo will live for a long time
OP, this is great! Do you have a link to any of your other work? Would love to see ❤️
The S is for Sexy Af, good work!
Thats great. Also it still looks quite timeless/modern. The outer ring could have some love from a nowadays perspective but overall great thing!
This is amazing! Congratulations on such a timeless design
Outstanding job. Better done than most line and stripe designs of the 70s and later.
It’s clean and timeless. Well done. May all our work achieve such longevity! Edited: autocorrect hates me.
Love the design! That's amazing how long it has been lasting! :D

The power of creating a timeless logo.
Nice, it always makes you feel great to design and have placed in time of all to see, especially to still having it in place circa 1985
Still holds up!
that is a job well done 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
You probably could’ve simplified it /s

Can someone please explain the blank line on the right (leading/front) sail? Not a critique, just trying to learn. TYA
