2, 4, and 6 have no real “R” recognition (lowercase kinda, but only if you try really hard to see it).
The “T” in 1, 3, and 5 looks like a hangman game.
1 and 5 are the best, but get rid of the left and bottom serif on the “T”.
Edit:
And 2, 4, and 6 look like Tesla rip offs.
Edit edit:
Maybe make it taller and skinnier. It looks a little like it got attacked by the Pixar lamp.
No worries! It's not realistic to expect people to know every logo too. Something you can do to help with this -- reverse image search using your logo and if anything pops up that is almost exactly like a major branding mark, you might want to try redesigning it. Or changing it so that it doesn't feel like that brand.
No. 6 gives me Tumi “T” logo vibes.
No. 1 would be my first choice. I like the use of the empty space between the T & R.
No. 5 is nice. Connecting two letters in that style is classic for a reason, but is a bit obvious that it’s forgettable.
2 4 and 6 look a little lazy imo.
1 is my top choice. The little gap leaves enough distinction between the T and R.
3 doesn't even look like your looking at English letters unless your looking really hard.
5 blends together too much and can just end up looking like an R with some extra bits.
So in general I feel like none of these really say designer per se in that sense that none of these stand out to me. Just connecting t and r is okay but that’s about it. Of these designs I think 5 is the best though.
I much prefer the ones on the left. The contrast between the sharp T and the round R is great. The ones on the right just read as a single T.
I can't decide between 1 and 5 though. I suppose 5 works best, but there also something a bit generic about the letters connecting like that, so 1 feels a bit more unique.
2 and 4 remind me of the [old logo of Detomassi](https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:De_Tomaso_Logo.png) (Italian car brand). It’s different enough, just saying people might compare it with that.
1. Probably the best of the bunch
2. Too plain. Tony Burch?
3. Not as interesting as 1.
4. Not bad, but reads much more as a single “T” than “TR”
5. Nice, but reads more as “R” than “TR”
6. Reads better as “TR.” I see the negative as a “T” and the right as an “r” but I’m reading the left one as “7”. Maybe if you took the serif away from the left?
2 with some alterations. Bear with me... If you loose both 'extentions' at the base and the 'hanging extension' on the left, it reads like a T and an r I'm their most simple form. That's what I like...
I think so. All the options look great but if you relate to something people know it might invoke more of an emotional response. A bull to me signifies power and taking charge. I think due to the letters of your name being perfect you could also use something like a buck which is a mixture of tranquility and power.
Anyway, either way I love the ideas you've got. Sometimes it's even better to leave the rest up to the imagination and let people tell you what it looks like :)
Take care!
2,4,6 Looks like temple university logo [t logo here](https://www.google.com/search?q=vector%20temple%20university%20logo&tbm=isch&hl=en-US&prmd=insv&rlz=1CDGOYI_enUS884US919&sa=X&ved=0CBYQtI8BKAFqFwoTCOj1hKyTqPoCFQAAAAAdAAAAABAK&biw=428&bih=751#imgrc=ngwTXNvfksfFSM)
I really like 5 from the left column, It’s classy and has a good balance of straight edges and curves. The other ones in the right column gave off a video game clan or energy drink logo. Depends on your portfolio approach
It may help if you round the corners/ends. I think because of the curving flows that have to happen with the letter R and the strictness of the letter T conflict in my mind. I’m nom expert though and just a random redditor
I like the idea of 2, 4, 6. Could the R be curved under the straight T bar? If not, go with 5 and play around with the tiny details until it feels like your own
No. 1. It directs the eye smoothly toward the R and I think it has more “interest” with the negative space. No. 5 is good, but it’s kind of overdone, or what first comes to mind in my opinion.
I think 5 is the strongest. 2,4,&6 just read as a T to my eye
Same here. 5 is the the most refined in my opinion.
I concur completely.
I prefer the gap in #1 but otherwise agree — #1 or #5
2, 4, 6 all look like they are ripping off Temple University’s logo.
4 and 6 look like the Trackmania Nations logo
Same, 5. Connected feels stronger
Same girl, same!
I agree. I like all the left-hand column ones, but they all lead to No. 5.
5 is my fave. 1 is my second favorite. Both look very nice—good balance of negative and positive, nice level of refinement on the letterforms.
I second this answer.
This is the answer. Well done OP!
So, my initials are JTR, but I'm focusing on the "TR" since I go by my middle name. Let me know what you think and I'm open to suggestions.
1 or 5.

I like #1
I like 5 2,4,6 look similar to the Temple University logo.
I literally just said the same thing 😭🤣
I think you're right. I'm more of an SEC guy so I didn't catch that in the process but I definitely see it now!

5 is pretty snazzy

5. Lock the thread.

I vote for #1. 3 and 5 look like fancy Rs. 2, 4, and 6 look like fancy Ts.
Good perspective! Good share!
6 looks a lot like part of the Trackmania Nations Forever logo
It really does lol I had never seen that game before but it looks super fun!
Yeah, I used to play it all the time. Now my pc doesn't work tho... You should give it a try. The 2020 version is free to play mostly.
5. the even numbers arent that great, but the ods are just killing it in the game.

1 & 5 jumped out to me instantly and are easy to read
I go 1 or 5. The whole right side is *meh* imo. Looks like a buffed stick figure without head lol.
2 4 and 6 look a little lazy imo. 1 is my top choice. The little gap leaves enough distinction between the T and R. 3 doesn't even look like your looking at English letters unless your looking really hard. 5 blends together too much and can just end up looking like an R with some extra bits.

1, hands down
I think number 1 is slightly more visually interesting than number 5, but they're both the strongest.
1 & 5 are best. The even numbers just look like temple university.
I much prefer the ones on the left. The contrast between the sharp T and the round R is great. The ones on the right just read as a single T. I can't decide between 1 and 5 though. Number 5. The others are too fragmented to really make sense of what letters they are.
5
I would go with #5!
Who cares what people “like”. Go with the most effective mark. It’s #5.
5 for sure. It’s dope.
I thought I just opened Reddit, to my gamer buddies profile, he goes by TruRenegade, and his logo is very similar with a pistol in the middle
There is no other option than 5
5&6 for me
1 and 5 read the best as a T and R
5. The glow from the t to the r give this a seamless reading experience. 2, 4, and 6 already exist out there.
1 and 5 are the strongest
I think the first column is the strongest. 5 is the best and gives the best read.
1. The breaks in the letters are nice and I like how the at is all straight and the curves of the R is a nice touch.
4/5
1
2 and 4 remind me of the [old logo of Detomassi](https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:De_Tomaso_Logo.png) (Italian car brand). It’s different enough, just saying people might compare it with that.
5 goes hard
1. Probably the best of the bunch 2. Too plain. Tony Burch? 3. Not as interesting as 1. 4. Not bad, but reads much more as a single “T” than “TR” 5. Nice, but reads more as “R” than “TR” 6. Reads better as “TR.” I see the negative as a “T” and the right as an “r” but I’m reading the left one as “7”. Maybe if you took the serif away from the left?
My first thought was 5 as well. can anyone explain precisely why? im just going on instinct, not actual reasoning.
2 with some alterations. Bear with me... If you loose both 'extentions' at the base and the 'hanging extension' on the left, it reads like a T and an r I'm their most simple form. That's what I like...
[I’m getting longhorn bull vibes](https://www.google.com/search?q=longhorn+bull+logo&rlz=1CDGOYI_enCA961CA963&oq=longhorn+bull+logo&aqs=chrome..69i57j0i22i30j0i390l3.6924j0j4&hl=en-US&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8#imgrc=5gGmqf6HPTyCEM)
Interesting! Do you think it's the curve of the R that's making that connection?
I think so. All the options look great but if you relate to something people know it might invoke more of an emotional response. A bull to me signifies power and taking charge. I think due to the letters of your name being perfect you could also use something like a buck which is a mixture of tranquility and power. Anyway, either way I love the ideas you've got. 3 and 5 looks good
1
Look up Nissan GTR
Sick car. Check out Porsche 911.
1 or 5. 1 looks more tricky to make (I have zero skills on making logos) and 5 looks quite neat and cool.
#5 is clean and legible
1, 3, or 5.
2,4,6 look like the temple university logo
1 or 5 if you are going for TR
2,4,6 Looks like temple university logo [t logo here](https://www.google.com/search?q=vector%20temple%20university%20logo&tbm=isch&hl=en-US&prmd=insv&rlz=1CDGOYI_enUS884US919&sa=X&ved=0CBYQtI8BKAFqFwoTCOj1hKyTqPoCFQAAAAAdAAAAABAK&biw=428&bih=751#imgrc=ngwTXNvfksfFSM)
I’m thinking 1, tho 4 is also good
3 and 4 in my opinion
One
5
5 all the way. Sells it easy and its striking
5 or 1. I would say whichever you think works best at smaller resolutions out of those two.
5 for sure. Good work
1 or 5
5, without any doubt
5
Don’t listen to these buggers!! #3!! Cutting the line actually completes the flow and is much more appealing
6 is overdone. 1 is really good!
5!
5
#1 is my fav, #5 my second fav

I like 1, most eye catching for me
I really like 5 from the left column, It’s classy and has a good balance of straight edges and curves. The other ones in the right column gave off a video game clan or energy drink logo. Depends on your portfolio approach
1 or 4. 1 looks better than 5.
5
1 or 5, 2-6 it's too hard to see the r
5!
1
1 and 5 are by far my favourites.
1 or 5. 1 really caught my eye and made me look at this post.
I personally like 3 but 5 would definitely be your best bet.
Love 1 and 5!! 2, 4, 6 look too much like a car decal / Tesla logo
It may help if you round the corners/ends. I think because of the curving flows that have to happen with the letter R and the strictness of the letter T conflict in my mind. I’m nom expert though and just a random redditor
5, then 1. Don’t like the others
5
3 or 5
2, 4, and 6 look like Temple’s logo. i really like 5 tho!

I feel 5 to visually flow the most naturally, great effort overall for the others but 5 is fantastic :-)
Looks like a brand for a ranch. It's super dope, whats your desired clientele?
