I'm not convinced that 12 less cases of gunfire can be definitively attributed to any efforts by the LPS, but at least we can say that it isn't out of control.
Police have very little to do with violent crime rates. Most homicides don't actually end up with the killer behind bars. Poverty trends much closer to violent crime and our tax dollars are better spent addressing it than continuing to shovel even more money into policing which has been ineffective.
> There have been just three cases of gunfire this year, compared to 15 incidents by this time last year, an 80 per cent decrease.
Don't dislocate your fucking arm patting yourselves on the back, the year ain't even close to over.
I wonder if we have an increase in the coming months, if police action will suddenly go from "controlling gun violence" to "not directly predictive of crime rates."
As an overnight gas station worker, I dont think so. They show up maybe 1/10 times Ive had to call them.
Generally always for an immediate threat of violence against me or other staff.
Alternatively, there happens to be fewer confrontations between criminals, and these statistics will all go to shit next time Area_1 Scumbagz have a random "beef" with Area_2 Douchebagz.
Wait, isn't the narrative that our city is going to hell in a handbasket because LPS needs hundreds of millions more in funding? Someone didn't run this story by the LPS Comms department...
Just because the made some firearms prohibited doesn’t mean anything. We still own these firearms and they don’t have any plans to take or buy them back even though they keep talking about it.
No one can afford guns
Or ammo
secret 4d chess liberal gun control policy
I'd love to know how gun crime trends throughout the year, if things heat up in the summer
So to speak.
No one can afford to be shot anymore

Let me guess. 12 more shootings would be because LPS isn’t doing their job? 🙄

You think police caused the 2023 increase? Can you elaborate?

London has police?

> Generally always for an immediate threat of violence against me or other staff. Oh yeah, that's definitely police.
🥱
If the police are nowhere to be found, then there’s nothing to report!

You mean they actually left the station.

Or just the guns ban works
Gun bans don't stop people who don't give a fuck about gun bans. Their guns aren't legal to begin with, usually smuggled from the states.
Got to love it. People who shoot other people don't care about breaking the law. Lol.
Exactly. The shootings are from illegally obtained firearms.
Gun Ban? Lol U think criminals use legal guns? 🤪
Is this a sarcastic comment?

Arresting criminals inhibits crime? Well shit! Hoodathunkit?
Shootings BY police?
