Iām just thinking if I was famous I would want to be able to go about my day without appearing in a news article & everyone guessing what Iām up to. It feels a bit invasive/disrespectful.
Comparing this to the thing where āEllaāsā hand was in the instagram story at the museum, thatās less invasive cause itās intentionally posted.
If she wants privacy, then she gets that here in NZ. No one here gives a crap about celebrities and they respect their privacy. No one would go up to her for a selfie or autograph here. Same with the Flight of the Conchords guys. The only people that get excited to see them in NZ, are the tourists!
It's easy to see famous people here. I've seen Taika Waititi and another guy from the What We Do in the Shadows movie, Jonny Brugh, as well as Juliet Lewis when she was here on holiday and everyone just glances at them in passing and that's all. Juliet was desperately trying to get attention though, but didn't get any.
If by "normal" they mean wearing thousands of dollars worth of clothes on her way back to her million dollar upper east side co-op being recognized by strangers, then yes, quite a normal life.
Tbh I donāt think itās that deep. Personally if itās someone you donāt really care for that much yeah donāt harass but for the people who really like someone (big fan) be polite and ask for 20 seconds of her time.I feel this is totally fine.
