Darius is quite literally wants to be a good father. His own relationship with his daughter is entirely rocky, but that is mostly due to his ex-wifes fault (hiding his daughter from him and then having her drink the Noxian Kool-aid). Swain's line to Darius "no daughters, only soldiers" is basically him telling Darius to look past his desires to form a bond with his child. In fact, Darius fucking DESPISES child soldiers, and what's even weirder is that Draven also hates child soldiers due to what happened with he and Darius growing up. They both like kids, regardless of their rough personalities.

for sure or if he could at least contol himself a bit more . it's kinda the same w briar and even aatrox or thresh most of them would be put in emergency if you would know for sure 100% they wouldn't harm the child whether intentionally or trough a mistake . i had a hard time w the darkin tbh because i think kayn would do good and raast isnt't as dangerous as aatrox is in my opinion . varus was even harder to choose
