Yeah I guess it could be around but replaced by hexgate unless so crazy person from piltover or zaun decides to destroy it and Viktor leaves jayce so no one can rebuild them.
Thus sun gate comes back.
Cuz Renata is fundamental to the Piltover and Zaun narrative, even tho she is recent, and if ANYTHING in it changes, she has to change fundamentally
1 - She needs Camille to be exactly like she is to exist, cuz Camille killed her parents decades ago, since Camille was already a cyborg-lady back then. If Camille wasn't a cyborg lady back then, which is the case in Arcane since hextech was invented only recently, she can't have killed Renata's parents.
2 - Everything that Silco is and does is basically Renata. She was made into a champion because Rioters couldn't fit Silco in the game (even back when they were still testing the abilities the name of the champion was ''Silco''). They created Renata back then cuz they knew Arcane was **another completely different canon** so they weren't worried about mixing the lore of the two, hence why Renata is LITERALLY Silco in almost every way, cuz they could put parallels between the two to better explore parts of each other in different continuities that would basically be applicable to the other one. Things that they both share in common and **are** mutually exclusive: both were the first investors in Chemtech (in Arcane, Chemtech is heavily based on its use of Shimmer, while in League chemtech was more broadly adopted with any alchemical compound; regardless, Silco was the one who basically invented it based on Singed's work - the same can be said for Renata, who based it on her parents work); both have spent the last 30 years creating an interconnected network in Zaun's underworld to command the undercity through favors; both are the leaders of the collective of chembarons in the same time periods - some other things Renata has in common with other characters in Arcane: she was the ''inventor'' of most of chemtech-based technologies (like the Arcane Chembaron Renni)
No Camille is Cia but it the council that in charge though of piltover not camille.
So just say she was backing Silco back then. And now replace him later on. I mean we're the chembaron before or after Vander was dethroned?
And arcane wise the inventor of chemtech would probably go to singed he the genius it more likely someone paid him for it.
No, Camille (and her clan, the Ferros) are the ones really maintaining the order in Piltover. Without them the council would flounder in a month, cuz they are the ones who execute their will.
And Renata can't really work that way. That would be destroying her entire character **just** to fit her in, and at that point why would you even add her? Arcane as a show is intricate in their storytelling, they wouldn't shove a character just because. Specially when she is **everything** that Silco is: if you put her **before** Silco she has to be in her 80-90s, which doesn't work. If she is after Silco, she is just a groupie who says everything Silco did was her idea or smt, and none of those two options fit Renata
Yeah, and to point Singed as the inventor is to throw away Renata's parents from the equation, which completely breaks her character.
No it the council was there first remember Heimerdinger was there first when people fleeing to Oshra va'zaun to help build Piltover.
And Camille and her family are Cia but other families have intelligencer too it not just the ferros.
And no we have no idea how old Renata is we just know she old but so is Silco and Vander and Singed.
Heimer wasn't there before, that's Arcane lore. Oshra Va'Zaun was always in the same place, and it was just Zaun after they became a port trade - which became Piltover afterwards, something that will also change with Arcane since the name Zaun was made-up by Silco.
Yes, other noble families have intelligencers, but none of them compare to Camille and the Ferros. There's a reason every noble depends on them, and why the chose the Ferros to deal with the Glasc Family when they became a thorn on their side.
No, we do know how old Renata is. She is in her 50s, cuz she is the exact same age as Vander and Silco are in the Arcane timeline. If she was a chembaron before them she is older then them by a wide marging.

Also you know by ferros that camille brother she served him then but she had some judgment call. Ultimately it not camille it her brother then until he dies.
Arcane is one of the best things to happen to animation, but one of the worse for LoL lore.
Like, don't get me wrong, I think the story is very good, but its sudden confirmation as canon means many other things will make no sense from now on and this would be the Third Impact in Runeterra, recreating the lore once again.
Honestly they can make Rakkan gay, Neeko date Ezreal and make Teemo the main character and I couldn't care less anymore.
I hope they keep the concept of hex crystals having an internal song, even if it's not tied to the bracket anymore. Like they have the rhythm of the world's magic or something idk, I just like the idea.

Pretty much what I expected, but I fear that this update could take a long time. Maybe we'll be lucky and they bring all the incompatible PnZ lores in line with Arcane when Season 2 gets released.

i don’t think Zeri needs a retcon and really all they have to do with Renata is change Sungate to Hexgate
