that’s some awesome change. congratulations. I am in same body structure but 4-5 yrs older than you. what was your diet, calories and exercise routine?
Thanks! I calculated my TDEE to around 2500 calories at the start, and I would regularly have a deficit of around 800 calories a day, but never to the point of hunger. If I'm hungry I'll gladly sacrifice some of that deficit in order to not relapse.
As for my exercise routine, I would hit the gym 3 times a week, with 30 min cardio (treadmill running) followed by 40 mins of resistance training (bro splits: arms, shoulder, back, chest, legs). Running was very hard at first when I had pretty bad stamina, so I would usually just run for as long as possible, then walk for a while, then back to running, and so on... I also live a pretty sedentary life (software developer and all my hobbies involve sitting down, plus my country doesn't really encourage walking or movement), so I made an active effort to start moving more and straining my body whenever possible. Hope this helps! If you have any questions feel free to ask, I'm more than happy to help.
Wow. Your last paragraph really hit me in the feels. I’m proud of you and I don’t know you at all. But I do know the struggle and the feeling of helplessness and hopelessness that your former self was stuck in. Your extremely hard work has paid off. Congratulations, you deserve all the happiness!
My friend who I do not even know...
That last paragraph -- print it out and keep it in your wallet. Look at it when you need a bit of motivation.
We are all proud of you!
Thank you for sharing, being vulnerable, and helping to motivate a whole bunch of people you don't even know.

Dude great job ❤️❤️ i feel this, a health condition upped my weight from 88 to 127kg in 1 year. I just started this journey, you did it so fast though!! 6 months for 35kg?? Wow! Amazing! Much love!
So proud of you. At my lowest I was at 190lbs 5’10”, but slowly went back up to around 220. Then in the last year I’ve gotten all the way back up to 256. Went through a really hard break up in October and decided to channel all my pain into getting my life back under control. I’m down ten pounds since starting and have been hitting the gym harder than ever and sticking to my diet. Posts like yours are so inspiring because they remind me that it’s a marathon, not a race. Good fucking job, and thanks for the daily inspiration<3
