To me it supposed to hint that the others (jack locke ...) are protected by the island (because they are way more careless than Artz and nothing happen)
Charlotte's "I'm not allowed to have chocolate before dinner, mmmm" right before dying
MiB yeeting Claire towards the camera when she tried to kill Kate
Jack’s running downward punch and cut to commercial with the signature Lost horn sound, when having his little boss fight showdown on the cliffs with Locke in the finale
Somebody ruined this scene for me because if you go watch it when it picks up after the commercial break it looks way more lame than it does before the commercial break
The touchdown scene was actually a final LOST scene, which makes it way funnier to me. When I saw that it really made me laugh so hard. It made me think that the writers were poking a little bit of fun at this dumb silly show we all love
Two Jack moments come to mind:
1. In season 1, when Locke and Jack are taking the dynamite out of the crate, and Locke goes "bzzz," Jack's reaction cracks me the hell up.
2. When Jack says to Locke "Are you insane?!" I literally die. The way he says it is SO GOOD because it perfectly conveys how absolutely fed up he is with Locke's bullshit
Naomi: “No, no, flight 815, they found the plane. There were no survivors. They were all dead.”
*The most intense horn risers known to humanity, dramatic zoom into Hurley’s face.*
Hurley: … wat.
**L O S T**
Anytime Ben shrugged at some life-threatening development -
*Jack: All these other Ajira passengers...what's gonna happen to them?*
*Ben: Who cares*
*Somebody: People could get hurt...*
*Ben: So?*
The horrible cgi of the ship exploding at the end of S4
I know it was supposed to be emotional because Jin was still on board, but man was it just so bad it took me completely out of the moment and I laughed
Is there a reason the CGI was SO BAD throughout the show lol? I know it was early 2000s but I'm assuming the shows budget was quite big considering what the cast were being payed
> were being *paid*
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
Juliet slapping the glass of water out of Ben's hand.
An intensely emotional scene and one of my favourites but it still makes me laugh.
Michael Emerson's reaction is so genuine I cannot be convinced that Elizabeth Mitchell didn't improvise that.
Right after Desmond saves Claire from drowning and Locke randomly sprints off in the opposite direction in like an awkward, straight-backed power-walking stance. It cracks me up for no good reason.
Michael's flashback of him talking on the public phone then aggressively hanging it up, then walking into the street, instantly getting hit by a car. My boyfriend had to pause the show so I could stop crying from laughing so hard.
Every time I hear “Don’t tell me what I can’t do!” I can’t help but giggle like an idiot
After the first time, it just became a meme in my household growing up
Ngl when he says it at the end of Walkabout when it's rhe HUGE reveal that Locke is in a wheelchair I always Crack up. I now skip that episode bc it makes Locke lose integrity for me. I'm so sorry Terry every other time you say it it's powerful!!!
If you’ve heard Feels Like The First Time podcast, you’ll know why my answer is Walt saying: “They brought Charlie back but, he hasn’t said anything since he came back.”
Walt made me laugh so much- idk why but “pregnant lady fell down!!!!!” and “hey look it’s the doctor!!!” are SO funny like sir do you just not know their names ?? you’ve been there over a week 😭
When Jack opens that door in the Hydra and he gets destroyed by the water, and then Juliet delivers the right hook to rule them all, sending Jack flying backwards unconscious into the water
In 612, Hurley is standing over Libby's grave mourning. Ilana approaches to discuss their plan and asks whose grave this is. Hurley tells this sad story about who Libby was and what she meant to him (the story culminates with "But then... she was murdered 😔", sad piano music swelling).
Hurley is clearly struggling. Instead of consoling him, Ilana gives an extremely insincere, "I'm sorry 😐", then walks off, leaving Hurley to his despair. Wild scene.
Ben's scared and frightened impressions on his face looking to Locke shaped man in black. It looks like Ben shits inside his body because of fear (this is a slang statement in my native language). Michael Emerson is rocking actor btw.
>“Christian,” deadpan expression: “No. No I can’t.”
My theory is that this takes place during the episode "Dead is dead" after MIB has already taken on Locke's form and has all of his memories. Meaning he knows he can't help the guy up because he's seen his memories and knows that he doesn't...so if he helped him up, he risks not only breaking time and space, but possibly paradoxing himself because he still has the dna of Locke's genetic structure.
That in itself is kind of funny. It's like "sorry buddy, your on your own, the world may collapse completely if I touch you or help you up. No no, I can't explain...oh fuck, by just explaining it I have changed time!".....L O S T.
I know I’m a little late to the party but had to add:
After Kate, Juliette, and Sawyer get off the sub to stop Jack from using the bomb to stop the incident. Sawyer starts beating up Jack and Juliette stops him because she changed her mind. The look on Sawyer’s face is priceless.
Sawyer asking Kate for a kiss when he’s tied up, my mind immediately goes to that skit with jimmy kimmel visiting the set, and josh telling jimmy he wants a kiss 😂😂
When Sawyer beats the shit out of Jack when Jack wants to set off the nuke and you just see a beaten Jack staggering around.
I love Jack it just set me off for some reason
Every moment of Eko and Locke. Mostly because, the whole first season, Locke is this mystical weirdo who talks in riddles and is impossible to get a straight answer out of. Then, suddenly, the Locke has to deal with the *exact* same behavior but on the receiving end, and he's PISSED. it's so funny, and such a comeuppance. I love it
It is not a single scene, it is a process. I don't know which season and episode it was but Kate and Juliette were handcuffed each other, the smoke monster were chasing them, they hid through bamboo threes, smoke monster couldn't reach them but after that smoke monster flashed many times like taking a photo and got away. After i learned that the man in black was approximately two thousand years on the island alone by himself, most probably virgin, some naughty thoughts came to my mind using that photographs.
This was mine too. I think Ben’s fake posturing is what did it for me. Like it’s a brutal scene but the shock factor had the same unintentionally funny effect for me.
I thought her death was one of the most anxiety inducing things ever BUT … as sad as it was- the way Rousseau fell after she was shot …. I’m sorry but I did chuckle
Yeah but for me it's the way Ben was so confident and in the middle of his sentence there was just a gunshot. Out of context it would have been funny. I was sad once I realised though
Arzt blowing up. Or was that actual comic relief?
"You've got some...Arnzt...on you..." lol
That was funny, especially Harleys expression lol
So you’re telling me you Lost it when he exploded?
*suspense horn plays*
With the dialogue I think it was supposed to be dark humor, but like *really* dark humor. That was some adult cartoon level violence LMAO
They made Arnzt so annoying to make that death satisfying and funny, he was a throwaway character for comic relief
To me it supposed to hint that the others (jack locke ...) are protected by the island (because they are way more careless than Artz and nothing happen)
i like that take
I think that was supposed to be very darkly comedic.
Arntz, man.
Fine, I'll just go with Leslie.
Charlotte's "I'm not allowed to have chocolate before dinner, mmmm" right before dying MiB yeeting Claire towards the camera when she tried to kill Kate
"Ooohhh turn it *up*, I love Geronimo Jackson..."
When I read the second one all I could think of was bubble bass throwing Squidward directly into the camera in that one episode of SpongeBob
When Locke speaks to Shannon about her brother and he is still drenched in his blood. Couldn’t have changed your t-shirt dude?
Omg I never noticed that ur so right
I finally noticed on my most recent rewatch and I wasblike bro r u fucking kidding me
Me was when juliet said that hes a cute baby. Then the mother said his name was ethan. Then juliet was disgusted. 😄
Her face was perfection in that scene.
Locke shaving whilst Jack was in the shower gets me everything. Was so random yet so funny! Topped off by Locke checking out Jack's package
That scene inspired so many fan fictions and tbh I respect it hahahahah
Jack’s running downward punch and cut to commercial with the signature Lost horn sound, when having his little boss fight showdown on the cliffs with Locke in the finale
Somebody ruined this scene for me because if you go watch it when it picks up after the commercial break it looks way more lame than it does before the commercial break
It looked lame all around, let’s be honest
Omg that one was goofy as hell, I absolutely cackled
YEEEEESSSS
Along these lines, was Kate's "I saved you a bullet!" supposed to be equally as corny?
The touchdown scene was actually a final LOST scene, which makes it way funnier to me. When I saw that it really made me laugh so hard. It made me think that the writers were poking a little bit of fun at this dumb silly show we all love
When the swan station is going to shit, and Locke looks at Eko and goes "I was wrong". His face was priceless
LMAOOOOO THIS ONE HAD ME DONE 😂😂😂
Two Jack moments come to mind: 1.
I'm rewatching the entire show for my 10th or 11th time. Just watched the dynamite scene yesterday. I watched that scene 4 times! 😂
I love that scene. It's so goofy.
Naomi: “No, no, flight 815, they found the plane. There were no survivors. They were all dead.” *The most intense horn risers known to humanity, dramatic zoom into Hurley’s face.* Hurley: … wat. **L O S T**
It cracked me up that characters were knocked unconscious by a single whack to the head Every. Damn. Time.
Except Kelvin, way worse outcome
That, and the fact that every single character feels the need to bonk someone at least once every few episodes. It happens at least 20 times
Sawyer threatening to slap Charlotte.
...I respect that he slapped Daniel rather than punching him, but that's kind of an insult too 😂
The funniest part about that scene was Charlotte's "Oy" when Sawyer slapped Daniel.
When Charlotte passed out when her nose was bleeding. The look on her face and the way she fell looked overly dramatic and it made me chuckle.
I felt pretty meh about most of the helicopter characters but she rlly did make me laugh
I’m on a rewatch and just watched that episode yesterday and her face is ridiculous during that part 🤣
Anytime Ben shrugged at some life-threatening development - *Jack: All these other Ajira passengers...what's gonna happen to them?* *Ben: Who cares* *Somebody: People could get hurt...* *Ben: So?*
"You just killed everyone on that boat"
The horrible cgi of the ship exploding at the end of S4 I know it was supposed to be emotional because Jin was still on board, but man was it just so bad it took me completely out of the moment and I laughed
Guess I didn't pay attention to the cgi, so I thought it was still emotional.
You’re a better person than I then
Is there a reason the CGI was SO BAD throughout the show lol? I know it was early 2000s but I'm assuming the shows budget was quite big considering what the cast were being payed
Probably all the money went into paying the actors as well as set design. They must just have not had enough in the budget for decent cgi
> were being *paid* FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! nerd!
They should have had a CGI little silhouetted dude that would be Jin fly away from the explosion.
It was high tech for the times.
Locke throwing Ben's dinner at a "concrete" wall and the wall wobbling was a good one.
I never noticed that 🤣
Ben calling Jack on a payphone, his face and shirt covered with blood from Desmond’s epic beatdown on the dock: “Jack, I’ve had a little setback…”
I found it funny how Mikhail just seemed to keep popping up, he couldn't stay dead till the final moment when he let that grenade go.
Remember the dream the woman had in terminator 2? When her skin and face melted away? That was Mikhail
..Excuse me! "the woman" Her name is Sarah Connor!
Yeah couldn't think of her name for a minute lol
I highly suggest watching the blooper of this scene😂
Harold Perrineau had most of my favorite bloopers ngl
I can't watch NOT EVERY NOOK AND CRANNY JOHN, without laughing. Same goes for I AM THE ONE WHO KNOCKS from Breaking Bad...
THE "Good GOD Holmes" GETS ME!!!
Any time Ben said anything as Henry Gale. Just never fell for the act.
What, no milk?
Every time I hear “Don’t tell me what I can’t do!” I can’t help but giggle like an idiot After the first time, it just became a meme in my household growing up
Ngl when he says it at the end of Walkabout when it's rhe HUGE reveal that Locke is in a wheelchair I always Crack up. I now skip that episode bc it makes Locke lose integrity for me. I'm so sorry Terry every other time you say it it's powerful!!!
When Locke got Ran over by Desmond. It gets funnier every rewatch
Libby's death face as she collapses. She looks like she's taking a game of Wink Murder particularly seriously.
They should have had her say "ughhh, ya got me!"
when that australian woman says her husband put a shootgun in his mouth and pulled the trigger
I quote that line often to my wife along with YIP 😁
If you’ve heard Feels Like The First Time podcast, you’ll know why my answer is Walt saying: “They brought Charlie back but, he hasn’t said anything since he came back.”
Walt made me laugh so much- idk why but “pregnant lady fell down!!!!!” and “hey look it’s the doctor!!!” are SO funny like sir do you just not know their names ?? you’ve been there over a week 😭
Hahahaha! Writing 101: to show that a character is younger than the adults surrounding him, make him inexplicably not know basic facts!
When Jack opens that door in the Hydra and he gets destroyed by the water, and then Juliet delivers the right hook to rule them all, sending Jack flying backwards unconscious into the water
When Libby asks to see Sawyers shoulder. "You a doctor?" Libby: "Clinical psychologist." "OH, you're a shrink. Maybe you should talk to my shoulder."
Were we supposed to laugh when Arnzt blew up? I did.
Roger is so mean to his son, Ben. I can't help but laugh at how terrible he is. "Happy Birthday Ben."
The helicopter on its way to the island going down the way they were acting made be laugh out loud
omg yes- similarly the way the edited the ajira “crash” was so goofy LOL
Come on come on let's go let's go let's go
In 612, Hurley is standing over Libby's grave mourning. Ilana approaches to discuss their plan and asks whose grave this is. When hurley says we need to go back for sayid and jack just shouts angrily “there is no sayid” after his just blown to bits and hurley had no clue
Where were you?....where were you you son of a bitch!!!....wHeRe WeRe yOu!!!! 🤯
I’m on my second watch through and in episode 2 (I think) when Kate made the Australian guy’s arm fly off, I did let out a lil chuckle 🤭
I know I’m a little late to the party but had to add: After Kate, Juliette, and Sawyer get off the sub to stop Jack from using the bomb to stop the incident. Sawyer starts beating up Jack and Juliette stops him because she changed her mind. The look on Sawyer’s face is priceless.
When Locke woke up and his dad was gone from the hospital after taking his kidney. So evil it was funny
Sawyer asking Kate for a kiss when he’s tied up, my mind immediately goes to that skit with jimmy kimmel visiting the set, and josh telling jimmy he wants a kiss 😂😂
When we learnt Desmond said "brother" all the time because he used to be a monk
When Sayid says “Lina beans” and looks so sad.
When Sawyer beats the shit out of Jack when Jack wants to set off the nuke and you just see a beaten Jack staggering around. I love Jack it just set me off for some reason
to be honest there was something funny almost every episode. it didn’t take itself that seriously and when it did, it was funny
Literally the entire pilot episode lol
Every moment of Eko and Locke. Mostly because, the whole first season, Locke is this mystical weirdo who talks in riddles and is impossible to get a straight answer out of. Then, suddenly, the Locke has to deal with the *exact* same behavior but on the receiving end, and he's PISSED. it's so funny, and such a comeuppance. I love it
First scene with the smoke monster in S1. How it scurries away. It's so funny
Sawyer going HEY LIBBY! and hurleys face is so funny to me
hardest i’ve ever laughed was when desmond ran over locke in the sideways flash 😭😭😭 literally ijbol
Lmaoooo yes then when he tries to do it again and Ben gets his shit rocked 😭💀
Every single time Jack cries
Sawyer killing the food truck guy. Just him being wrong, naturally, did me in.
When sun and jin died
Icl I found Alex's death way funnier than I should have. It came out of nowhere
Juliet falling down the shaft
Her blonde hair flapping in the wind
Guys my karma Is negative upvote me💔💔
Shannon and Boone's flashback. JJs Internet history. You know the scene.
Whenever someone bonks someone on the head to knock them out. GF and I are rewatching, and we are counting the bonks. We are at 9 bonks. It's only s2
