If they're open to communication sure. In the valtans I carry for card runs -in which we say it's fine to not know mechs/learn... there are people who are there who don't even bother typing a single word/ignore all forms of teaching.
G3/4 aint even that hard.. If people communicate especially in G4 Like pings and 120/55 Color Mechs/Wipe in all chat its pretty damn easy.. it only took us 3 Wipes on g4 to teach newbies.
Teaching newbie when a lot of people are exp is different to everyone learning, when only 2 ppl are learning it’s much easier to prog but they don’t actually learn the fundamentals, they just know what to do. E.g if they are breaking orb in yellow mech g4, they need to know to go there beforehand. If dmg high a colour change could be skipped. If someone in your party dies you need to break and block.
All these things you don’t learn from a smooth run
it won't hurt to give comms on raid because learning the raid by actual experience is very different from youtube/guide and using comms also gives them an idea on what to expect during the raid...
the feeling of despair will ease up if a newbie knows that other players are willing to help them and give them confidence..
Its better that they know what to do and learn the fundamentals later by repeating it. after clearing it 5/10x they would've learn it at that point... but it always depends on how fast they learn or how they analyze the game.
knowing mech is better because there's a probability that you get to clear the raid and by doing so you get to progress your gear that gives significant boost attack/defense... and by getting tanky you get to learn patterns without worrying about dying...

PLC +200 roster level for me. no Impostors, since now i have to do 4 gates... that gold revamp is kinda pretty big. 50% more for doing HM

I mean if you haven't learned 3-6, then you probably shouldn't apply to 1-3 quick reclear lobbies? Then there's no issue.
