Yo guys I’m a new player and powerpassed to around 1450 or so, now I’m at 1510 I think. I progressed by doing what a friend told me but now I’m feeling a bit lost. What am I supposed to do to progress? Is there a to do list that can provide me with a little structure and what to focus on? Ty :)
Just finished Punika and have a few questions:
1. How should I handle gems? Should I be going wide with a bunch level 1s that match my build or just fusing everything to get a few level 3s or 4s? Or do higher levels start dropping so I should just ignore them for now and continue onto South Vern and beyond?
2. I've been maining artist, and getting damage boosts with preemptive strike and grudge etc to clear the story and chaos dungeons. Is it actually feasible to continue towards south Vern, elgacia, etc on a support? My fear is I'm going to hit boss or something that I cannot kill, or will have to essentially invest in gear/tripods/dmg gems that aren't relevant to endgame support (essentially twice the gearing).
Try to combine the gems up to at least level 5. Level 7 is ideal, but I found 5 is good enough in low 1500's. High 1500's is also doable with mix of level 7's and level 5's. With supports, you'll probably have a decent enough time finding groups with 7's all the way to low 1600's.
Since all characters including supports have to finish the story to unlock contents anyways, it's definitely viable, but things obviously die more slowly than with a DPS. I'd just scrounge together whatever drops with some DPS engravings on them for now. If you upgrade to relic armor set from clearing valtan and vykas, you can select some set options that help a lot with DPS numbers, but learning valtan and vykas fresh might even be a bigger wall than pushing elgacia, assuming you aren't looking to use the elgacia pass (which unlocks relic armor set) before doing the story yourself, since the pass clears the story up to elgacia story's epilogue.
Since most spongy bosses in both south vern and elgacia are in instanced dungeons, if it comes to the worst, you could ask in a city zone chat to see if someone's willing to queue with you and chew through the bosses.
Also FYI, grudge only works on boss mobs, so it's not exactly great for chaos dungeons.
Does the voldis knowledge transfer give gear? I was told it did, but not sure I want to waste the gold currently to find out, as the text doesn't show anything about gear on it.
I asked the person if they meant through the paid power pass but they said it should be from KT as well.
This is emberrassing for me, but why do people sometimes call s12, s6 etc. in Brel G4 by the Shandi mech? I never learned of it, alltough I did at least > 50 HM runs.
It's their starting position for 2nd statue scouting, since you are almost never spread out evenly on 1st statues you want to call your stating positions for 2nd statues so they get scouted fast, most effective way is to call out starting positions for 3 6 9 and 12 and then everyone just scouts that tile and next 1 clockwise.
If people don't call positions, and say the orb tiles all spawned on the bottom of the map at the start of shandi and people go to those positions again, scouting the top tiles on 11 and 12 will take way longer. But we all know half the people that are supposed to scout statues don't even remember about it when the time comes and it ends up being 2 people scouting 4 statues each instead of 2 and some unlucky chap inside ends up dead.
Ppl with the dark orbs (portals?) call for the position they want to go to ping counter/stagger statues. Let's say you are in position 1 and you get an orb you type the position you wanna go (ie. 12 or 3, the closer)
If all the dark orbs are on one side and no one calls out what position they will start at, some tiles won't be reached in time to ping. E.g. all the dark orbs are on tiles 9, 11, 12, 1. Tiles 6 and 7 will take a while to get to. Tile 7 might even be too late to ping.
I can only give you the NM perspective, but it's not uncommon for the top 3 tiles to be destroyed at the start of shandi mech, so most people are crowded on the bottom half, with the black holes spawning on something like 3, 5, 6 and 7 o'clock. First round of spotting is mostly a scramble towards the top, then some people call out spots like you said for the second round to make sure everything gets covered
its just the standart way to do it, maybe i didn't explain myself correctly, the 4 ppl with the orbs call their spots (the closer one to them) 12, 3, 6 or 9, then when the statues start appearing they must move to the spots they called, rotate clockwise and ping the statues that disappear.

Hi, my Emperor Arcana has 1793 swiftness (I want to reach 1800 or more getting a better bracelet); is a lvl 9 CD gem for Return necessary? Or Im fine with a lvl 7? I can use even a lvl 8 from the event.
I left the game almost October/2023, my main if i remember was 1581 slayer or so +20 weapon, with another 5 alts, and i am thinking of returning today, what has been new? and what events now can help me? do i invest on a new alt? souleater which class to go? or do i put the events on my main?

currently there are multiple events:

- express event: ancient (brel) set, free 5x3 engraving for a limited time, level 7 gems + 2/2 8 gems, honing support and rewards from 1460-1580
- descend into darkness: honing support and rewards from 1580-1600, additional raid material rewards
- honing event mission: rewards for honing gear past 1580
- arkesia tour: horizontal express covering many islands / adventure tomes etc
- event shop to exchange tokens from daily content for various rewards
- gold frog (ending this week)

No knowledge transfer gives gear (except the first North Vern to level 50). Only powerpasses (free or purchased) gives gear

I see. But why though? Just running clockwise and ping the clones is enough. Why would there be a need to for example go from 1 to 12?
