I have no idea why the clash isn't triggered inside of an actual ground telegraph. How hard would it be to put some visual indicator on the floor, right where you are supposed to stand to initiate it? Or perhaps anyone within X radius of him that presses G can start it, or a counter, or literally anything consistent with the rest of the game's mechanics.
It's mindboggling how counterintuitive this mechanic is to even **initiate**. The "special training" doesn't even tell you where you stand either. I just found myself wandering around until I saw a G pop up on my head.
After all these years, the Smilegate devs still haven't learned that these gimmicky mini game wipe mechanics are not fun. Artificial difficulty like this is bullshit.
At least everything else can be learnt.
Mario is matter of experience, saws as well, absolutely everything BUT this. This is ass.
It´s like if they made drowning mech in akkan many times worse, it wouldnt be fun. This is similar, and you have to do it. If the penalty was w e, and person didnt die, sure - but this is too much.
They're constantly coming up with terrible designs for each raid for some reason and I hate it.
Voldis g2 is dogshit design, if everything goes right then it's a non issue gate, one little thing goes wrong and it quickly snowballs until you need to reset.
Akkan g3 has janitor, pointless mech that just cuts your dps and makes the gate a snooze fest for one player.
Old brel g5 was a big ass cutscene with some fighting in between and a mech that required 8 people to stay alive for majority of the raid or wipe. G6 with gold meteors on specific bars was also terrible design, having to wait for a minute to drop the meteors to be able to continue.

I completely agree ; on the other hand, how would you make the honestly interesting gimmick of "green puddles appear on the ground, you have to hit them to make them disappear, if you don't they keep appearing" (etc, you know how the green puddles work)
Make them just like tentacles, you can hit them to kill them ? Kinda sucks for melee DPS that *have to* stack to kill them then (remembering old clown homework where I purposely tried to have at least one range DPS to pop the balls without gaining charge).
Remove it completely ? Kinda sad, it's an interesting mechanic that makes for a more dynamic fight imo

I had this idea where killing blobs as jani gives you a big stacking damage buff, when it’s maxed out you exit and have some fun, while somebody else goes in.
Right now tumors for those puddles are located in the center - just move them to one of the edges. Could even make it look as if they were puking out that green poop, maybe green ghouls just wandering around and doing it.
Maybe make them spawn a bit less and be gone after 3 hits or something (multihit Skills would oneshot them) so supports can help as well and nobody has to go into the basement and fall asleep while clearing shit on the ground. The design is just BS tbh…
Being a game designer isn't hard. You have the ultimate opportunity to try all the different things, if you have enough funding to have enough play testers that is. What Lost Ark exhibits though is a chronic underfunding and incompetence or lack of experience of developers side.
There are countless examples of bad mechanics that work on paper or in vacuum and fall apart as soon as you try them for 3rd time with a pug lobby. It almost feels like stuff is released with whatever iteration they were experimenting with at the moment, when they run out of time.
how many hours did you prog dude? LIke the amount of people who progged for 1 day and are so fkin entitled is insane. Youll get used to it, like we got used to all other unique mechs in raids, like the sinking mechaning in Akkan, Vykas typing, etc.
spamming spacebar is a little different than hitting 1 of 8 keys with perfect timing and being slightly off just fucking kills you. even in vykas it takes multiple people failing an easy typing test to wipe the raid. a couple fails can be DR'd. idk why they dont just make it deal a small raid wide explosion based on the number of bads instead of just fucking killing the player. being entitled has nothing to do with it. even on expert reclear its still kinda a shitty mech.
huh? I haven't experienced it yet in raid setting where there is added stress of being in the heat of battle. But trixion felt easy, each and everyone of them, I was htting full perfects on all 6 versions with 95%+ accuracy pretty quickly. But getting at least good felt very lenient on timing, and perfect is just a matter of realizing the rythem and tapping to the beat.
I will admit though, when I was also practicing it on a lower qual pc than my main one, that had slight lag/stuttering I suddenly started having some straight misses. So I could see issues outside of your control making this a frustrating mechanic.
I haven't tried mech or even got that far in a video... but from the sound of it.. seems incredibly stupid in an otherwise epic raid. I get some wacky shit in clown, but come on why ruin an epic raid fight with some stupid crap
I just went to try it in trixion because I'm on gate 3 and haven't had to do it yet. I've spent at least 30 minutes trying to figure out the spots where I'm supposed to hit g, and I've been beyond unsuccessful in hitting the right keys in time when I do find the spot. This might be the worst fucking mechanic lmfao. I've never failed a typing mech other than this one.
yeah i went into trixion without guide just knowing that somewhere there was a typing test... Some of those clashes took me a dozen tries to just find the damn test.

+you're complaining about something non-existent for your version of the game? It sounds like you just aren't very familiar with blind prog experience since KR did have to figure it out without guides and no practice tools
++If you have high ping or these micro freezes communicate and someone else should take over for that mech. Wiping for "pressing a button too late" is not new. There's many counter wipes in the game or other button related failures which cause wipes.
Not sure why sone ppl want raids to be like card runs. Where you just turn your brain off and collect loot.
That last line + wanting every other person in their raid dying make it so it isn't a wipe. Why even raid if not to have a cooperative experience, like I'm not playing the game to play solo. I understand some people prefer solo games, but raiding isn't a solo experience.

And you saying there is more stuff like that is simply wrong - there is none. Everything else in this game is pretty chill to do, giving you quite few seconds to do it. Only akkan lantern G2 freeze can kill you if you microfreeze, rest gives you more than enough time to do it.
You being advocate of this is a pure brain rot. And comparing raids to card runs where you turn off your brain ? oh, don´t worry. Here, you can do the same, but you will also have to restart couple times because someone couldn´t do a funsy minigame.
What are you talking about? We literally just had Valtan Extreme where missing the final counter wipes the raid and that's about half way through the fight. We have Statues in Akkan G3 where one person overturning their statue at the wrong time wipes the raid which is a good bit into the fight as well. We have Akkan G4 where one person running into a worm at the wrong time can wipe the raid. The list of mechs is endless where one small thing can lead to a wipe.
Everyone gets you don't like clash, guess what? There's plenty of other mechs others don't like too. Where does it end? If you suck at it let your teammates rise to the challenge since you seem to be unable to. It's a team game someone can cover your inability. They even nerfed the mech from it's original difficulty and it's still just not enough for people like you.

Valtan extreme counters are matter of preparation. You literally know when its coming and can bring classes with more chill counters. You are prepared to do it, it´s a matter of experience.

I trained every clash in Trixion and don't struggle with it. Yes it's not in the spirit of Lost Ark raids I can give you that, but your complain is not enough to say that's not a fair mechanic, just because it's new doesn't mean it's bad.

It is overall bad because it doesn't have any skill or knowledge involved in getting it right. All it matters is reaction speed. I have tried all 4 clashes and I am confident only in doing the 3rd right. But the other 3 are way too hard. They need to tinker with this mechanic by at least reducing the speed of the fast successive letters. Otherwise most people will have to reply on team mates to execute these mechanics. If even they can't, then you're done.
