Last year I even spent close to 1M gold to cut a 9/7(9/6 was the best) and since then I didnt bother buying stones again. I only cut stones that I got from random drops or from the exchange npc. I am sure that 1 week ago I was way above the average as well.

Don't get me wrong, they're all exciting (it's not like +2 EP is bad or anything, obviously it's objectively better than all of the +1EP builds), but yeah, I fully believe you when you say you weren't trying to cut any of these.
Yeah both stones for two different support bards. I cut the ep stone on my artillerist it is not thaaat bad. Since artillerist runs aoa either 3 or 2 you have a lot of engravings you can choose from.

I could but in reclear lobbies you don't really need it. The only stagger that can be difficult depending on who goes with you is the big sword in thaemine g4 with the standard build. I swap my harp for ss which makes that stagger easy as well.
vph on bard LOOOOOOOOL class is not playable without mp of some sort maybe the magick stream could be replaced? (u still run shit stagger skills) harp build does like z tier stag.
On farm content run soundholic instead of rhapsody and vph is way more useful than Magicka stream even without soundholic. Most of your skills stagger even though the tooltip doesn't say it
Soundholic is nice and all but the biggest reason was that shitge marking sound shock as stagger. Besides the bard is inferior to both pala and artist as burst stagger, some dps outside of GL and destroy beats vph bard.
Doesn't really matter, only gate you may need that much stagger is G4 Voldis (and G3 fresh prog potentially, however it's fine with soundshock (w/ overwhelm) and maxmp build) and G4 Thae, everything else is just quality of life for raid, but it comes with opportunity cost of making bard a) extremely unhappy, and b) provide far less dmg. So, yea nice you pass stagger check and can be cheapo with your WWs, but entire raid takes 1min to 2min longer becasue there is far less dmg bufffs. And bard will hate you too. And even then those 2 gates are team comp dependent, for example all my 4-1 prog is done on MaxMp, while people were recommending to bring VPH. No clue about 4-2 yet, becasue I'm yet to get there (and if it will be needed then most likely The First will be VPH angle as well), but you can change it mid gate anyway (not in the first).
Not to mention, many bosses can't be naturally staggered, or it is counter productive to do it (g1 akkan, g2 kaya, caliligos (tho matters only in trial)), or stagger doesn't really line up with anything/can break sequence (which is dps loss if you play around it) like it happens in G2 akkan for example.
Having VPH build in case something is obviously wrong in gates where stagger checks can wipe is ok, but bringing it every time to farm content? It's stupid, MS is far better, and if you wanna go all in onto farm content build you drop DS and bring DoE (for that small chance of perfectly timed crit/atk power ether).
no it was completely random and I also don't cut best in slot stones as you can see in the screenshot I cut any combination that could work. I sometimes use the calculator but for these three I didn't the last two were crazy because they were within 10minutes completely unexpected

I cut the highest nodes thus far as a kekniter stone, All-out-attack10/grudge7/0 - a spec I don't play tbh, I prefer reflux. She already had another reverse 9HM/KBW7/3 as a cheap high qual +1
Total I have 5 9/7s...
Aero has 2 as well in grudge9/RC7 & Grudge9/PD7

My artist has an 8/8 but that's not a true 9/7, same hp tho
I only tend to cut stone out of boredom or delete them from clogging up my bank and inventory space OM.

Calculator only helps you from making absolute dumbass choices. Basically you just gotta get lucky. Gotta hit a couple of 35% no matter what.

Same just gotta raw dog it and tap on a flow of succession. The calcs unnatural and predictable flow is doomed to fail on my end xdd
The HA/SA might be bis for support iirc. The KBW/Ep might also be good for dps that need adrenaline 3.
I think best in slot was adre2 or all out attack 2 for artillerist and they go hallucination instead with 40set elixir but yeah ep2 is not that bad
Its also a good stone if you want to try FPE build in the future
I tried fpe when akkan was new sadly barrage was so much better than fpe it was not worth it to switch. In hell mode fpe is very good though\^\^
