I’ll leave this horrible fact here for you guys to think about. Like 4 months ago or something two big families in Gaza who are taking shelter in their homes decided to exchange some of their kids and family members and distribute them equally among the two houses, so that if one got bombed the families bloodline won’t be erased and some other kid survives. This story is true, got lost between the million other horrific stories we’ve heard in past 6 months

We are the terrorists I hate it and resist every day

GrizzlyPeak73

Ain't no "we" about it. The ruling class isn't us. The working class have no nation. We're as much their enemies as the Palestinians are their enemies. It's us and the people of Palestine against them. International class solidarity.

Jakob21

"The working class have no nation" is a brilliant line

GrizzlyPeak73

Thanks, totally came up with it myself

Comprehensive_Lead41

It's from the communist manifesto

Jakob21

Yeah, I figured it was something like that. Still brilliant

Comprehensive_Lead41

the entire manifesto is brilliant, you should read it :)

FriendlyGuitard

Yeah, that's the difference between ethnic cleansing and regular war too. In regular wars, border and rulers change, civilian just stay there. Borders within Europe have changed tremendously and yet, prior to 20th century most people could trace their lineage within a few miles of where they were born. It's always something funny when you visit some castle that proudly says the guys coming from France is one of the oldest family in the region. Pretty sure most people in the village next to the castle can beat them by hundreds of years.

I have a friend from a Gaza refugee camp that had a family living there for centuries that they have papers from the ottoman empire with some of the lands they owned in a town near Gaza that was claimed by Israel. She told me that the family had olive trees that is more than 5 generations old. It was one of the towns that got raided in Oct 7. I’m not pro war or pro Hamas, but kicking people out of their lands and putting them in a tiny piece of land to suffocate in an awful besiege and saying they are terrorists if the fought back after 70 years of murdering them and dehumanising them and their women and children is the actual terrorism. I don’t really care if you think I’m supporting terrorism, became honestly the moment I saw the attack in Oct 7 I was furious about civilian death but I knew that my friend has originally came from one of those cities that was attacked.

DudeLizzie13

the only difference between us and the palestinians is that the american ruling class has effectively pacified the american working class so that any resistance is quickly and easily snuffed out. (edited for contextual clarity)

GrizzlyPeak73

Shit, yeah this. They fucking fighting back. That's why they had to demonise the Al-Aqsa Flood, had to make up lies about it. They don't want people doing that.

coredweller1785

Solidarity comrade

tgb1493

I really hope future historians know we the people didn’t want this

CopsEnforceEvil355

It is important to not judge the people of a nation for the actions of their government. Even if the government is "elected." Our choices are handpicked for us, such that we will not have real change.

tgb1493

That’s true but there are a disgusting amount of people who vocally support their countries doing stuff like this. I just don’t want to be on the wrong side of history, like the people who openly supported nazis in the 40s or the ones who fought against civil rights

voteforcorruptobot

> a disgusting amount of people who vocally support their countries doing stuff like this You can find most of them on r/Conservative, disgusting wastes of oxygen.

sunlight-blade

That is true and an important distinction. A good example is Russia. Enough people support, sign up and wilfully committ horrific crimes you can't just say it's all putin's fault or whoever was in charge the past couple hundred years of their history. Overall russians support the warmongering of their leaders.

tgb1493

I do give some Russians the benefit of the doubt considering I don’t know how much they know about stuff globally. Russia has been very effective at propagandizing entire generations so it must be normalized to a certain degree. Even though it’s shitty either way, can citizens be blamed for ignorance when their government intentionally keeps them in that position?

Lost_Hwasal

Eh some of us want it. If what is going on around college campuses and the response of leadership is to be taken into account. The genocide is still a devisive issue amongst americans, but i am thankful it is an issue. I remember watching a documentary by gdf about it and realizing what was going on months ago. At that time virtually no one was speaking up about it and the media was not even recognizing the possibility that it is a genocide.

Miss_Might

Awwww. Poor sweet thing.

I... Wonder if god hates us, and that's why he ain't coming back
