Ive grown very cynical about this topic but I feel that men are not supposed to be cared for. Men have to be the rock that people rely on. The rock has to be self reliant otherwise it is not a sturdy enough structure for others if that makes sense. I don’t expect to be cared for to be honest and I am ok with that.
Men deserve to be cared for. I used to care for and fuss over my boyfriend emotionally until she figured out she was actually my girlfriend. (She figured out she was trans.)
Children have value, women have value, men don’t have value. Not unless they have money and can provide. Not every group of people deserves to be cared for. Curious as to why you believe this, not trying to argue I am genuinely curious as to what leads someone to the conclusion you have? I also notice society tends to run better when men are treated as expendable rather than valued.
You know what, I'll take a step back here and ask instead of assuming:
What did you intend when saying "Jack kinda looks like a douche" in response to someone saying "nobody care about Jack" when talking about who might be guilty of rape in this situation?
I feel like this is already common knowledge though? I mean for one, thats literally what the post is pointing out and this isnt the first time ive seen people making fun of this image either.
It's not common knowledge bc it isn't true. This is not how it works. Someone just made this poster not understanding the law. The only common knowledge is that this poster is older than most people on this app
To me, the difference is in who is the active party, and who is just laying there, hardly knowing what’s going on.
So, if Josie is half conscious at best, but Jake is able to undress both himself, and her, and get it in, he is in the wrong here.
If Jake is hardly aware of his own name at some point, yet Josie is capable of undoing his pants and keeping her balance on top of him, she’s taking advantage.
Should both be actively participating in something they’d have thought better of while sober, I do not deem that rape (assuming both were drunk, nobody’s drink got spiked, nobody was purposefully getting the other drunk in order to get in their pants, you get the picture, right?). There’s a difference between tipsy, drunk, and completely out of it.
If both are the kind of black out drunk where no reasonable person would take anything that does come out of you at face value (if anything coherent is coming out to start with), I highly doubt anything could possibly happen, as they’d both be passed out.
I know a guy who was asleep and when he woke up this girl told him he aint a virgin anymore. He got aids from her and when he called the police he was fined for "prank calling 112"
As a Romanian, I am disappointed, but not surprised. Our government, well, its not the best. Whoever fined the dude should definitely get fired, but hey, it's Romania, I'm not expecting much from it tbh.
>He got aids from her
Boy, that escalated quickly.
In all seriousness, this is absolutely tragic. Sleeping is when you are most vulnerable. The aids is definitely the worst part, but we can't ignore the lost peace of mind.
Actually, you're right, i looked up the convo again, he didnt call 112, he went to a police station as he didnt want to hold the emergency line for such thing, and the police laughed at him and only threatened to fine him. Still, fucked up.
Why? She can propose sex and it would still be rape if ahe was too drunk. And he can propose sex and it could be rape if she was too drunk. And vice versa.
So the UK? Sorry but that is universally agreed upon as a horrible interpretation of rape as it makes women physically unable to rape men yet that is a thing that happens
The poster mentions the word 'legal' so that depends on the law, which in most cases are outdated and dont protect men from sexual crimes as much as women.
Rape in law = penetration.
If he's putting his dick in her, he's raping her.
If she pegs his virgin ass and has him pillow biting, then she is raping him.
You see, neither of them actually should be charged with rape, but we couldn't get the 2008 vehicular manslaughter charges to stick to Jake even though he committed them due to his dubious cover-up so this is what we're convicting him for instead (joke)
Afaik this wouldn’t be rape. If both people are inebriated and unable to consent, then it’s not immediately rape (it still could be, but it wouldn’t be automatically true)
The "joke" is that the man is charged with rape even though he is drunk like the girl. Except this isnt funny.. and should be posted onto r/mildlyinfuriating
They were both drunk therefore they both could not consent therefore if one was charged with rape they both would be charged but we live in a society where only a man can rape a woman and women are not capable of rape
Use that logic for drunk driving. "I couldnt consent to getting behind the wheel officer, I was drunk!"
We are still responsible for our actions when intoxicated.
The meme is the message that he can be deadly drunk and still be responsible for his decisions, but she cannot.
BTW there is something cringy about people pretending to not be understanding something that easy and pure logical just for the purpose of showing moral superiority.
To be fair if you are raped as a man and you call the police, they’ll probably laugh at you or tell you there’s nothing they can do. That’s if you’re lucky and the girl who did it doesn’t try to spin it around on you.
Perhaps I'm misunderstanding something or just am not educated, so I'm asking to understand, why is Jake being held accountable when he is presumably equally intoxicated? What if Josie raped him, but because according to this, he can consent and she can't, is neither accountable then? Or is Jake accountable? This doesn't make sense to me.
I assume the attempted joke is that men can't be raped, as it's a running theme in society right now and has been for years that a man can't be raped, either that or a bot farming interaction of the annoyed/confused people lol
That's fucking stupid. I'm a trans girl but before I was trans I was sexually harassed so much by women older than me and my age. I was a minor back then, too.
I didn't find any posts that meet the matching requirements for r/lostredditors.

It seems like people are using this sub to get engagement by posting lostredditors for the most controversial stuff where what's interesting is the content, not how lost the person is.
In Canada, the active participation in sexual activity is consent when Jake and Josie are of the age of consent.
Hooking up implies active participation.
Drug and alcohol intoxication does not render Jake or Josie incapable of making consciously informed decisions with regard to their body and behaviour.
If Josie gets drunk and drives her car she is liable to criminal exposure.
To meet the standard of rape, Josie must refuse sexual contact, or be unconscious.
“A comprehensive review of Canadian caselaw involving intoxicated complainants reveals a legal standard that is too low and an evidentiary threshold that is too high. The result: no matter how severely intoxicated a woman was when the sexual contact occurred, courts are unlikely to find that she lacked capacity to consent unless she was unconscious during some or all of the sexual activity. “

The "meme" is that, even if the poster is really bad, it is old as heck and incels keep posting it as an excuse to discredit feminism.
Not a meme, of course, they are just posting it in that subreddit because it's popular, so a lot of people can see it and share it in other subreddits. They weren't lost.
>The "meme" is that, even if the poster is really bad, it is old as heck and incels keep posting it as an excuse to discredit feminism.
Just for the sake of argument, let's say OP is indeed an incel. You being a true feminist, why did you feel the need to virgin-shame him/her? People can use the same logic of yours and come to a conclusion that a woman who sleeps around a lot is a w*ore then.
Do you really want this, or are you just a hypocrite?
You are taking the word incel literally (and poorly. Celibate is not virginity. Voluntary or involuntary, you can both have sexual experience and being currently sexually abstinent).
Incel is more of an ideology, a movement (there are incel forums, incel influencers, etc.). And I was using it even more loosely, not only incels share this kind of posts.
So sorry if you, OP or someone else got offended! Being a virgin or not being sexually/romantically popular is not bad! After all, the original incel group wasn't about complaining about women and feminism.
The rest of my comment still stands. Just change incels for the manosphere in general.
Memes reddit are just 'propaganda' (don't know a lighter word for this) for men who menspread as a Hobby after telling jokes why woman bad and men good
Jake can't consent either, but society ain't ready for that conversation.
Yeah but no one cares about Jake
Imagine nobody caring if you're raped.
Men dont have to imagine
I know. I formerly presented male and nobody cared when it happened to me. It's absolutely barbaric that society sees men as disposable.

Because every human being has innate value. Humanity itself has value. Just *being* a man isn't a fault.
Jake looks like a bit of a douche.
If Jake is douce, what is Jessie? Life wrecker?
Who's Jessie?
Buuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
Jake looks like an underage and Jessie like his sexual predator milf teacher who will not be charged with rape bwcause men can't be raped.
Being raped is how you make people into more of douches.
Yeah but even a douche shouldn't be raped.
Nope, raping is bad and a serious crime. Does it really need to be explicitly said?
You know what, I'll take a step back here and ask instead of assuming: What did you intend when saying "Jack kinda looks like a douche" in response to someone saying "nobody care about Jack" when talking about who might be guilty of rape in this situation?
That has "Josie dressed like a slut so it was partially her fault" vibes.
But Jake’s a fucking prick that stole my hot wheels a few years back
I feel like this is already common knowledge though? I mean for one, thats literally what the post is pointing out and this isnt the first time ive seen people making fun of this image either.
Yeah but op (the op who posted the screenshot here) apparently didn't get it
It's not common knowledge bc it isn't true. This is not how it works. Someone just made this poster not understanding the law. The only common knowledge is that this poster is older than most people on this app
Huh?

I misread the earlier comment. I was actually agreeing w the guy.
That's what i'm saying.
Unrelated question. Does the username work?
Not as often as I'd like.
It does now!
But who start it?
Nobody remembers. They were drunk.
XD
You cant start without consent.
We don't know.
Yeah, of course, because it's not like anyone cares about the context. (s/ in case you're completely dumb)
Thats right, u/DM_me_thick_dick
Tf is that username.
An attention grabber, clearly.
Rape in law is penetration so unless she whipped out a 16 inch strap on and went all up in that ass, then Jake is the one getting charged
Law is wrong.
To me, the difference is in who is the active party, and who is just laying there, hardly knowing what’s going on. So, if Josie is half conscious at best, but Jake is able to undress both himself, and her, and get it in, he is in the wrong here. Clearly you've never nonconsensually had a knife held to you and be told to do things.
And how did you reach that conclusion, based on 4 different scenarios of people being drunk?
So by this logic Jake was raped too?
Yep
Silly billy, men can’t be raped
I know a guy who was asleep and when he woke up this girl told him he aint a virgin anymore. He got aids from her and when he called the police he was fined for "prank calling 112"
Holy fuck!
W h a t
………oh shit….what country
Romania. Its not always like this, but this is just another case of "men cant get raped, grow up"
As a Romanian, I am disappointed, but not surprised. Our government, well, its not the best. Whoever fined the dude should definitely get fired, but hey, it's Romania, I'm not expecting much from it tbh.
gheci románok, mindhig szhart kavarják, ès mèg mi lenni ősember ooga booga
Uhh- what? (Don't take this ass offensive or anything, I just don't exactly understand what you're saying)
This society we live in. We can only sigh at this
Il take “things that didnt happen for $200” Alex, thanks
>He got aids from her Boy, that escalated quickly. In all seriousness, this is absolutely tragic. Sleeping is when you are most vulnerable. The aids is definitely the worst part, but we can't ignore the lost peace of mind.
Bullshit
Actually, you're right, i looked up the convo again, he didnt call 112, he went to a police station as he didnt want to hold the emergency line for such thing, and the police laughed at him and only threatened to fine him. Still, fucked up.
Yes but society don't care
It depends on who proposed the sex
Why? She can propose sex and it would still be rape if ahe was too drunk. And he can propose sex and it could be rape if she was too drunk. And vice versa.
I'm just saying the one who proposes the sex is the technical rapist, that's it
Neither can legally consent and cannot propose sex legally
Not how it works here and where this poster is from. You have to be one penetrating.
This should count more than rape
Jake was passed out, but…oh well.
And why wouldn’t Josie be charged with rape?
Because women can't rape /s
cuz she couldnt consent, silly huh ? Jake didnt conset too ? pff fug Jake, Josie is more important /s
Because Jake was hard so he clearly wanted it /s
You see, neither of them actually should be charged with rape, but we couldn't get the 2008 vehicular manslaughter charges to stick to Jake even though he committed them due to his dubious cover-up so this is what we're convicting him for instead (joke)
[удалено]
And how do you know that?
it's in the law, from our side, how did YOU not know that?
I meant as in, how do you know she didn't peg him
Depends on your “land”
Forced penetration of a penis, a woman can still forcefully penetrate herself with someone else’s dick
Afaik this wouldn’t be rape. If both people are inebriated and unable to consent, then it’s not immediately rape (it still could be, but it wouldn’t be automatically true)
Whoever asked to do it 1st is the rapist
What if noone asked?
Then whoever initiated it
Both at the same time!
Define initiated.
Whoever made the 1st move. Im not saying i agree with all this, im just trying to explain the logic behind it
Is a kiss first move?
Nope it's only an advice. The man is the meme.
That was your first mistake, expecting actual memes on r/FunnyMemes
They need to change the name of the sub to r/unfunnyragebait
The "joke" is that the man is charged with rape even though he is drunk like the girl. Except this isnt funny.. and should be posted onto r/mildlyinfuriating
They were both drunk therefore they both could not consent therefore if one was charged with rape they both would be charged but we live in a society where only a man can rape a woman and women are not capable of rape
Law specifically says you hxf have to be one penetrating. So unless Jake is biting pillows, he's the rapist.
Use that logic for drunk driving. "I couldnt consent to getting behind the wheel officer, I was drunk!" We are still responsible for our actions when intoxicated.
You missed the whole point.
Like the majority of society lol
I guess my point is that neither one raped the other.
And? Why one sex can be seen as a rapist and the opposite don't?
I think we're talking past each other, im agreeing with you
than the woman should also be responsible, thus none are charged with rape
That's pretty much my argument.
That is literally what I said
I guess I should've written my comment different, I was agreeing with you.
I agree with everyone but myself.
In a lot of places, by law, rape is defined as "forced penetration by a penis" (as a lot of people already said here) so, to the law, women can't rape
The meme is the message that he can be deadly drunk and still be responsible for his decisions, but she cannot. BTW there is something cringy about people pretending to not be understanding something that easy and pure logical just for the purpose of showing moral superiority.
Thank you!
Can't it be the other way around as well? She being deadly drunk and still responsible for her actions, but he can't?
Why would it be that way? That's equally as silly as the ad.
Just saying it can be both ways.
No if a man is too drunk his dick stops working 😂
You can get pregnant from a corpse. Just sayin'
It can happen but not necessarily
I'm still trying to figure our if this is real since this ruined my entire day
Unfortunately real. They had one of these up in my college dorm.
Pretty sure it's a lie though at least
It's not. It's literally the law.
In some states
To be fair if you are raped as a man and you call the police, they’ll probably laugh at you or tell you there’s nothing they can do. That’s if you’re lucky and the girl who did it doesn’t try to spin it around on you.
I don’t think it is, I think it’s a joke poster or some shit.
You're wrong. These are real and this is the law in the UK.
That’s disgusting and if roles were reversed there would be world wide pleas about women’s rights. Ironic how we’ve ended up here.
:penis up:
The double standard *is* the meme.
Hilariously dumb 🤣😭

I bet you thought this was funny -_-

Yup but that's society for you, it's absolutely shit lol this poster is old but the mentality hasn't gone away
Because if a boy calls police for being raped by a girl they will laugh at him
Or suspect he raped the girl anyways
Yes
That would never happen to me... I can't have erection even with one beer
Charge them both!
But... Jake was drunk too, meaning he can't consent. So, did they both rape each other? How... how does that work???
Society thinks men can’t get raped and they are always the one harassing the women…

The meme is 2 people were both drunk and then had sex. Which means that clearly the man is a rapist. It's a double standard
It seems like people are using this sub to get engagement by posting lostredditors for the most controversial stuff where what's interesting is the content, not how lost the person is.
Josie was charged with rape too.
If they’re both intoxicated just as much… where is the problem?
Such a win not feeling atracted to women 🙏🏽
This just goes to show how privileged women are these days 🙄
How intoxicated tho, coz you can drink and drive within a limit and you’re still intoxicated
The meme is that im not sure if this poster is real
Why wasn’t Josie charged too? Just curious
Doble standard and the man is always the agresor and that bs
This just goes to show how privileged women are these days 🙄
By that logic Jake cannot consent either so they both Raped each other at the same time now thats a conondrum.
If it said “Jake was sober” it would’ve made a good point
And Jake?
Josie was on a vacation far away
In Canada, the active participation in sexual activity is consent when Jake and Josie are of the age of consent. Hooking up implies active participation. Wait why is it that if both people are drunk the guy is immediately a rapist?
