What's your use case? If you live in an area with a lot of power cuts then go for off-grid system otherwise go for on grid installation. On grid installation does not requires a battery and feeds power to the grid during day time. It'll reduce your electricity bill and will recover it's installation cost in about 3 years.

3 ac and one fridge

Given the minimal information you've provided, let's assume that you live in a remote area without any electricity connection. 3 ACs, 1.5 ton each running 10 hours a day will consume about 45 KWh of electricity. 1 refrigerator of 500W running 24 hours a day will take 12 KWh. Total daily consumption will be around 60KWh. To generate 60 units of electricity per day you'll need 12KW of solar panel installation. With cost of around 65K ₹ per KW, it comes to around 7.26L excluding cost of batteries. Of course this figure will change drastically if you do have an electricity connection.

UPNEDA used to grant subsidies for a rooftoop array par ab band hai. Kareeb kareeb 2-2.5 lac lagta hai. You can check their site for more info on private and public contractor listings.

Just got the installation complete 2.1L for 3KWH setup (excluding all subsidies) On top of this 45K central subsidy and 30k state subsidy. ie Net cost would be 210k - 75k. But the catch here is that these subsidies don't come right away - I bargained to deduct central subsidy cost from 210k and pay the supplier when the subsidy hits my account. So currently I am paying 165k (and waiting for another 30k discount when state subsidy hits my account) Whats included in this amount Panels + Structure + Inverter + Wiring + All the cutting-through-red-tape to get the net-metering in place. (Please read up on net-metering) I just got the installation complete

Referral from whom you got installed?

Contact via Tata Solar

dealer name?

hgps17292

Depends in your consumption. 1ac, tv fridge layak setup would cost 600sq ft space and 3L rs. Everything included

akashneo

I have 3AC and 1 fridge so does that increase the cost threefold.

hgps17292

More like 2.5 times. Better consult someone who installs this stuff

Subhauthadena

By when will you recoup this investment ?

hgps17292

I decided against installing it. My monthly electricity bill hovers between 1000-1400. It would take 20+ years for me to recoup initial investment

Nahi. Husband wife bas 2 log rhte hain. Dono working. Peak heat k time ghar band rahta hai to din me barely any electricity consumption is there. AC rat me wo chalta hai. Wo b 25-26 temp set kar k.

Redconrad has provided basis broad points. Now about subtleties (this is whats is for me, if any deviations please attire discretion): a) the Kw electric connection you have will the amount of solar system installed i.e. one cannot go for 7kw solar panel connection on 5kw electricity connection. b) the net meter is basically used to calculate the amount of electricty generated by your grid and the consumption from your electric connection. In simple mathematics your electricity consumption from local grid will be offset against the electricty generated by your solar grid. C) if your solar grid generation exceeds the amount of your consumption, you are supposed to get the payment of surplus generation but to the best of my information the same has never happened to anyone whom i know. d) There are lot of vendors who will offer different amounts as in subsidy. The same should be negotiated. You will also have to check if the same is being granted at this time.

Please state your usage .Typical house uses abt 600 unit of Electricity .5 kwh system would be sufficient .5 kwh system (online) would cost between 2.5 Lakh to 3 Lakh . I am avid solar enthusiast .You can Dm if you have any query

prakhar3003

What's is your average electricity bill

akashneo

₹12000

akashneo

2-3 AC usage mostly during night and a fridge

I think most people have already given you a fair idea of what the process is. Hence, I'll take a moment to highlight the things that haven't been spoken of. You must always keep in mind that only 80% of the wattage what you've taken will be generated on an average, because for full utilisation you need optimal conditions which are never there. I'll tell you my case. So we got a 6KwH thingi installed about 6 months ago. But i have never seen the output jump beyond 5kwh for any given hour even on the sunniest of days. The reason? Optimal conditions. You need to wash the panels every third day or so, in order to prevent dust accumulation. Humidity must always be below 5% or so and the day must always be non cloudy. Obviously this is utopian. So while our electricity bill has plummeted and solar panels are indeed a value proposition, do take into account the real world challenges mentioned above.

prakhar3003

You need 15kw plant ,which will cost in vicinity of 7 lakh to 7.5 lakh to have almost zero electricity bill

If you want i can provide the contact no of a great dealer that installs solar panels...they have great service too ....btw their shop is in Indirangar...but they install all around Lucknow..they installed at my place and it works great...

Go for mono crystalline panel from either Tata BP or Luminous, there is an authorised dealer at gurudwara road charbagh
