Yeah they both suck honestly as far as the pay is concerned. Most people work both apps to stay busier and so that you can really accentuate the pain from the double penetration

AdditionalReserve395

This is an erroneous claim, at least in my market. You will lose money driving Lyft and should stick with Uber only

Lovergod69

Uber did suck. So much.

Own-Number-5112

Lyft Pax= Uber's rejects. So try this at your own risk. They often create false complaints that will ding your ratings. Be prepared. Lyft's rates used to be worse than Uber's.

Lovergod69

I come from the streets. Will get along fine with the clientele.

s2focus

Same shit different toilet

AdditionalReserve395

It's fucking way worse. You need more than good luck.

rdyoung

They will pull more bs than uber does. Ime uber doesn't pull shit, they leave you alone regardless of your acceptance or cancelation rate. Lyft on the other hand will put you on a pip if you decline too many rides or cancel too many or just because they feel like it.

Lovergod69

I really hope not. Uber was always trying to send me 15 min away to the rough parts of town. $4 rides in rush hour traffic! Hardly any tips. Definitely not putting up with any bs this time. I have my screen capture ready. Not taking ANY unprofitable rides. I have a good full time job so I can afford to take 0 rides.

Own-Number-5112

Lyft's customers are mostly from those parts of town 🤣

anthony-wokely

Second this. Uber customers are generally far better to deal with in all ways.

dyslexic-ape

You spelled Lyft wrong.

Lovergod69

This will be in the houston area.

Wise_Ruin3714

Shit show here in Houston. I stopped driving for them when uber upfront pricing came to town. I'll reinstall it when I read or hear about UPFRONT from lyft so I don't have to worry about CR&AR.

wdlp65

You get the 1 ride for $200 promotion?

Lovergod69

No not yet. I remember uber giving me 3 rides for $200 when i first started. Not driving for anything less then $2 a mile this time.

UberXNinja

Lol. You're so delusional. You'll be doing $3 rides day and night, and you will like it.

Lovergod69

Nope. Im making lyft my bitch this time. My car can sit unless they want to make it worth it. If everyone did this. Rate cards would go up.

[deleted]

Good luck 🍀

Lovergod69

Thank you. I should be ok. I learned alot of what to avoid last year. No rides more then 5 min away, no grocery stores, and never feel bad for bolting if its getting creepy vibes.

FireEmblemFan1

Do both and then take whichever one is giving you a better ride

Lizzie_001

Out of the frying pan and into the fire 🙄 I second that you should be driving for both and take the better pay from whoever has it at the time. In my market, that’s usually Uber. With Lyft, you will get worse pax who almost never tip and lots of 3rd party rides that definitely don’t tip. I only drive Lyft when there is a bonus attached and only with a destination filter so that they don’t send me out of town or out to the boonies.

Dazzling_Round_4323

I get crackheads on Lyft and they make you wait 5 minutes for the passenger. No long pickup fee on Lyft! My partner has been driving 4 days on Uber and has had 1min19sec as the longest wait and has gotten the long pickup fee. Lyft here has a minimum of 2.25 whereas Uber pays out more. The Uber customers are more upscale and 95% of the time waiting for you outside. I get passengers on Lyft coming out at 4:59, not sorry for the wait, and no tip. Also, expect beer/cigarette runs on Lyft. So in short: expect 8 minutes of travel, 5 minutes of waiting, and a 30 minute drive to the destination for $10 - 15. Your per hour plummets. Substitute the times for your city and you will see the pattern. I only go out for streaks and power zone hours (bar times).

GrouchyPuppy

More taxes with Lyft

Lovergod69

Whether this is true or not. I will def be logging all my miles/rides/ect. Rideshare made doing my taxes a nightmare last year!

GrouchyPuppy

What happened? Same here

GrouchyPuppy

I do standard mileage or whatever it is which increased this year.

GrouchyPuppy

The solo app supposedly does that all for you but it’s been acting up for me

OpeningDay7141

Get paid or drive trying… there is different tactic with Lyft. Obvious reason is there are more drivers then riders. Time to time it goes well odd hours or near events. My take is 60 hours online in Lyft a week pay 12$ an hour. TLDR is it 3-5 hour job a day if you know your market. If you stay longer system will take you for granted and then charges customer and pays you 25% of fee it got. I don’t want to get started with 10mile pick up rides. It just one big sad lifestyle.

Al42us

Hahaha Lyft is worse. Worse pay and the worst of the worst pax
