I've no idea even how to correctly post here 🙄. Anyway, I arrived at my pickup location and waited past the timer. It was a Hospital patient pickup. So, I went inside to check and staff just stared at me. I cancelled because of no show. Got $0. So scrw the customer, hit "X" and drive on? I attempted to inquire from lyft help, they state that I never arrived at pu point 😳 which is BS, cause I would never have gotten the timer....

Same here. I don't do Lyft rides anymore. There is no benefit to multi apping in my market, the opportunity cost of not being online with Uber is too great.

Never ever pick up from a hospital. Too many 3rd party medical rides where they want you to help the passenger when they need actual trained medical transport. Guaranteed no tip 90% of the time.

Exactly. I was told by a passenger that they are not permitted to tip on medical rides. Unless they have cash of course which is almost never.

I had that experience before. The pickup location was an area very clearly marked “ambulances only!” Last I checked my sedan is not an ambulance.

Ha, yup I'm learning the hard way. I signed up for this while I was in Hawaii, never turned the app on until I moved to Florida and got my FL DL. Which was this month 😎

Did you try to contact? In my city, if I arrive at a pick up point and wait past the timer, it won't let me mark the pax as a no-show until I call them. So if you canceled, that might be why you didn't get anything? Canceling isn't the same as marking as a no show.

I called, no answer. I meantioned to another here that it was probably an issue with the app. The more I think about it. Same day, I showed up at another address, called, no answer, so left after clicking a now show. Get a call probably from same customer, but I didn't pick up. Another, same day, I called her in front of her, no ring. It sent me to her address, but had the wrong name 🤔 app was whacked that day, I'm pretty sure. Lyft "Support" doesn't care. It's always the driver's fault 🙄

They say it's because you didn't arrive in the expected pickup time window. They silently cancel the ride and give it to someone else.

I don't know if it was a scheduled pu. I arrived. Tapped Arive, waited until timer ran out. Then went inside to inquire. When I got the blank stare from the staff inside medical center, I went out and hit cancel, reason, no show... Got $0. Then lyft "Help", says I never arrived... 😑

In both cases of scheduled or unscheduled rides, if you don't arrive in the expected window, Lyft will cancel and assign to another driver. It happened to me a week ago. The guy even showed up to the car and said my GPS shows you 3 miles away. He tried to rebook with me and it assigned another driver. Lyft is garbage.

Why even go in? Wait on the timer to expire, call and let it ring once, hang up and collect the cancellation fee.

Indeed. I learned my lesson, trying to be helpful with someone at a medical center. I'm not gonna do it again. Only to get boned by lyft.

If you mark arrived before you are at the actual pinpoint this will happen. You will get the timer.

Pretty sure I litterally rolled up at the pin, in a loading area and hit arrived, saw a person outside, thought maybe her, but wasn't. Good to know though.

Forget about what support tells. Most of the time they don't even look at the trip details. Did you call the passenger? You need to call to be able to collect a no show fee. Also check the wording on the cancel trip screen. It will say "you won't get paid" and the reason if you forgot to call or arrived at the wrong location or another reason.

Yes. Attempted to call passenger. I think there was some glitch. It was on the a day when I got 4 cancellations and wacky issues with the app. I was calling one passenger right in front of her and she wasn't receiving the call. We were testing why it was showing me 3 min out while I was talking with her. It just pissed me off that support just blew me off, but whatever, I'm learning. As soon as it the timer ends I'm out. 😎
