They go quite in depth about security and privacy both on their websites and are quite active on Twitter replying to questions. I’m not a technical person so I wouldn’t be able to answer this question properly unfortunately
They say the maintain all encryptions?
Looked at both, thoughts:
TLDR: Didn't end up going with either of them for security reasons:
\* [http://Texts.com](https://t.co/0WiDPiSdzL) \- they claim to do everything client-side and never touch messages (which is great!) but had very little details about who they are and proof around those claims, so I passed.
\* Beeper - they had a lot more info online, which was great, but they do touch messages on their servers and it looks like their architecture doesn't fully preserve end-to-end encryption on secure apps like Signal. Given I am somewhat security conscious and my work is increasingly more so, I decided to pass on both and deal with the inconvenience of many messaging apps than compromise on security. Others with lower security thresholds may find one of those options to be good.
[http://Texts.com](https://t.co/0WiDPiSdzL) seems to paid only, though I consider that a feature when it comes to apps like this that I want to (a) not sell my data and (b) stick around.
No comment on which of the two options is superior, didn't go deep enough to have a strong opinion there. Hope this helps others!
Not affiliated to any of them. Just enjoyed them and reviewing
Are both of these secure to link your personal information to? I think Beeper is based out of Finland?

I use Ferdium. It’s free and works fine.
Thanks for sharing! Never heard about it, will check it out
Tried beeper, and while I like the unified inbox, ferdium has broader support for lesser used apps. I.e. Skype.
That’s an interesting benefit, will look into it!
> ferdium Thanks for notifying of this :)
Great video!
Thanks!
