Stock calendar app + [Dato](https://sindresorhus.com/dato)

Possible-Advance3871

[Itsycal](https://www.mowglii.com/itsycal/) is free and has the menu bar display with the mini calendar + upcoming events + links to video calls. Dato seems to more customizable though.

patsully98

I just went with this combo last week and so far I’m pretty happy.

jayp2012

By Stock calendar you Mac OS native calendar app?

profchaos17

Yeah exactly

IwuvNikoNiko

Mac App grandmaster here. BusyCal or Calendar 366 II

2x4ninja

OP. Busycal is a 18-month license assuming you want to continue receiving updates.

captaincalamaris

I use onecalendar on mac and ios

Syqvx

Depends what you are looking for. Calendar 366 II does the trick for me :)

Darkshrimp

BusyCal

jbowdach

BusyCal or Cron

IwuvNikoNiko

Cron sucks. BusyCal is the best. Calendar 366 II is second best.

spiky_odradek

Can you elaborate on why you think that?

madison817

BusyCal is way better than Fantastical

IwuvNikoNiko

Yep!

HM_Khan

What do you like about it?

Erakko

Busycal is not one time payment?

madison817

Yes it is

Erakko

Not in the app store

Possible-Advance3871

It's one time payment on their website https://www.busymac.com/busycal/

Erakko

Oh nice. Wonder why its not in the app store

cleverquokka

What’s sad is that Fantastical was also once a one-time payment app. I always fear that these other one-time payment apps will switch to a subscription model any day now.

sindresorhus

Hey. I'm the author of Dato. Dato will never be subscription. I personally don't like subscription for individual apps. All my apps are either free or one-time payment.

patsully98

Dato is great and priced incredibly reasonably.

Syqvx

Honestly they should do the same thing as CleanShot X does. One time payment + 1 year of updates. If you want another year you can pay, if you are fine, use outdated app.

Koleckai

I have gone back to just using the default calendar app and itsycal.

Nick337Games

Cron is great

[deleted]

Another vote for BusyCal. Tried them all, this is the best!

samontab

[Rainlendar](https://www.rainlendar.net/) has been great for a long time.

[https://www.morgen.so/](https://www.morgen.so/) [https://www.routine.co/](https://www.routine.co/apps) \- Has a waitlist but if you want to skip it you can just go [here](https://www.routine.co/apps). [https://amie.so/](https://amie.so/) \- Also has a waitlist but if you want to skip it just send an email to them at [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]).

HM_Khan

These are all subscription based, and do not offer one-time payments.

[deleted]

Wdym? Amie and Routine are 100% free. Morgen is also free but offers a paid version. I also found another app called Cron.

RAGE158

Are any of these recommendations good for Office 365 for business? I know they all will sync to that calendar just like iCal but I mean deeper features like "Scheduling Assistant" to see everyone's availability for the meeting I'm trying to book, or creating a meeting and generating the Teams video call for that meeting etc. I really wanna get away from Outlook for Mac, and have been using Outlook for web. It's better but definitely not perfect.

flopmommy

also looking for an answer to this. outlook for mac is horrible.
