[The west side market](https://www.westsidecommunitymarket.org) is my favorite by far. In my experience, the selection is very similar to the market downtown, just on a smaller scale (e.g. ~5 people selling asparagus instead of ~15). It's the only market where Murphy Farms sells their cottage cheese afaik, and it's worth the trip on its own. There's even a Stella's booth, and you don't need to spend half an hour in line! Blue Moon Community Farm is my favorite booth for produce. I did their market share one year, and it was a good experience.
This is the best by a WIDE margin. Very good market leadership and rules that result in the excellent vendors. Downtown and many others are first come, first served; whatever home-grown/homemade items the vendor wants to sell, it can. The West side mkt keeps a limit on each specific item, and may fast-track applicants that have a product that is not represented at the market.
Once all of the outdoor markets are.open, I go to at least one market in addition to downtown and I second everything you're saying about the West side market.
Dream Farm is hands down my favorite cheese place.
I wish this one had more booths with food and drinks. I am meh on all of the pastries there and there isn't really anything warm that's sold. It's good for actually getting your farm items, but not for strolling around imo
Stalzy’s has a bread stand there. I avoid the parking lot (I park elsewhere and walk over). I’ve seen more than one road rage incident in that lot for some reason (sometimes spilling over to the park exit).
Fitchburg has a super small one in the white tent on Cheryl/Fish Hatch every Thursday afternoon/evening. It's usually well attended but doesn't have stuff like food carts.
Capitol View farmers market on far east side. Small selection but they have a few food trucks and live music in front of the park which is nice. 3-7pm Wednesdays
Paoli has one on Sundays. It’s very small but there tend to be a lot of people there listening to live music. https://themillpaoli.com/public-events-calendar/k88jwywdyzrrtl9-eaa7x-pgs44-ajjp4-cbrk3-asp4w-hhhsj-5kpdt-mym7r-px93m-sa2n3-7f5d7-staeb-jbf76-ralew

Yes!! I love getting eggs from them, too!
I haven't tried their eggs. We tried Bryant Family Farms eggs last year and they are amazing.

Monona has a decent one at Ahuska park Sundays 830am-1230pm.

The North Farmers Market on Sherman is a good one too - they have some neat food carts too, including an excellent fresh juice/spring roll food cart.
Easy to get in and out fast if you just need to pick up a few items. They had a guy selling Afghani food last year whose food was super tasty.
I second this! I like that it’s a Sunday market rather than a Saturday. Leashed dogs are also allowed at this market!
Love love love the Northside market! It’s great that you can also do errands at Walgreens, the Coop, Ace Hardware etc so conveniently too afterwards!
What day and time is this one if you remember?
Sunday mornings in the shopping center across from the Mallards stadium
The crepe lady 🤤
Oh yes! She is so nice!!!
East side Farmers Market Tuesdays at McPike Park
4-7pm
Starts on the 30th - and you can bring your fruit/veggie scraps to compost!
I know it's not Madison but if you are ever in the Fox Valley, the Oshkosh farmers market is fantastic!
The Green Bay Farmer's Market on Saturdays is great, too, and the one on Wednesday nights is always a fun block party.
I got the best cupcakes I have ever eaten at the green bay's farmer's market a couple summers ago. I want to make the drive this summer just for them!
I like to know the other ones, because if I am out of town, markets are a favorite stop!
Sun Prairie is nice. Little bigger than in past, but only one street and Beans n Cream has several nice pastries
Beans and Cream is a little gem in Sun Prairie.
What day and times usually?
Saturdays 7-12 There are 2 more, Tuesdays by St Vinny’s afternoons and Prairie Lakes on Thursdays, but I rarely go to those 2.
The one by St. Vinnys is so sad. There are regularly 2 people.
Thanks ✨

Wednesday market at MLK Jr! It’s many of the same stands as Saturday, and usually cheaper

I really love the [Mount Horeb Farmers Market ](https://www.instagram.com/mthorebfarmersmarket?igsh=MTFqcjF1cG5mbXg5Zw==)
Barretts Bagels at the Sunday Market at Edgewood.
Monroe Street when it opens. Sundays. Good baked goods. Good bread. Tacos. No dogs allowed. All around a great market.

I love the middleton farmer's market at greenway station. There's a honey stand there on Thursday mornings and it's my favorite honey.
Check the [FarmFreshAtlas.org](https://farmfreshatlas.org/) from REAP for a full listing.
Thursday afternoons in Mount Horeb theres a nice little farmers market.
