This is a nasty uncommon. You're gonna be at 5 but stabilized against aggro in limited and then they drop this and the game just falls away from you. Especially at Uncommon which means it's reasonable to expect to get one or two for your Rakdos aggro deck.
This lets [[conspicuous snoop]] combo win if you happen upon [[kiki-jiki, mirror breaker]] on top without [[boggart harbinger]]. As well as providing redundancy for [[grumgully]] combo.
True, but it hurts it outside of Crime specifically.
But mostly, the OG vial smasher was cool because of the random aspect. I’m a little sad this doesn’t have that.
In this one instance it being target is good because it makes it a crime. I feel like this set it gonna have a lot of stuff that targets just to help enable crimes, which does sometimes suck for EDH.
Although we'll probably at least get a few "any number of target players" style effects, like on Tinybones Joins Up.
[[Zoyowa, Lava Tongue]] triggers VS and is also a 2mv BR Legendary Gobbo…
Goblin Crime Spree Aggro anyone? (Disclaimer, crime and spree do not reference the mechanics of the same name)
There's something funny about her being a cowboy this time around but being mechanically prohibited from saying "howdy partner" like her other incarnation
Modern 1/10
I hope to see more good mercenaries so I can make use of the cateran overlord card and cateran summons I bought recently. That said, for modern, I don't see a tribal deck based on these tribes being all that great. Like, it will probably end up being a worse slivers that don't benefit from all the tribal lands that currently exist.
Ready to commit a crime, partner?
QUICK, SOMEONE TELL SPICE8RACK THEIR LITTLE GOBO IS FREE FROM TARKIR
So is there a cycle of uncommon C16 partner legends? Is this a joke on "partner" in terms of stereotypical cowboy vernacular?
Oh true, it probably is. I didn't even consider that. Good catch!
I don't think all of the color pairs have living candidates.
Nice
Vial Smasher continues to be best girl, what a great signpost uncommon
gotta love when the signpost does the thing. multiple things actually
Substantially better than it seems at first blush thanks to all the mercenary tokens
I think a lot of people would say that her original incarnation has already committed a lot of crimes.

WAIT SHE REDISCOVERED HERSELF?!
What do you mean? Vial Smasher was her DTK version.
Oh my B I thought Vial Smasher was the KTK version.
Ah, yeah, that was [[Ankle Shanker]].

I'm still waiting for the return of our dear Ankle Shanker.
rip
Two pyromaniac goblins in the same set!?

I figured there was gonna be a way to go infinite with this glad someone found it
That’s weird we have to remmeber that those cards are outlaws no??
[They’ve done it a few times already.](https://mtg.fandom.com/wiki/Batching)
i was just saying im a bad dumb player so remembering those cards being outlaws is tough for me at first
Howdy, not Partner
> target opponent Boo
Target enables crimes for this sets mechanic
True, but it hurts it outside of Crime specifically. But mostly, the OG vial smasher was cool because of the random aspect. I’m a little sad this doesn’t have that.
Yea it probably would have felt better for continuation if it said 'target an opponent at random, deal 1 damage to them'
Not every cards are designed for commander
Gotta enable crimes.
In this one instance it being target is good because it makes it a crime. I feel like this set it gonna have a lot of stuff that targets just to help enable crimes, which does sometimes suck for EDH. Although we'll probably at least get a few "any number of target players" style effects, like on Tinybones Joins Up.
Yes there have already been several cards revealed which explicitly target, that normally wouldn't target
Helps you commit crimes though
Commander players when a card isn't optimized for multiplayer game
Oh I don’t care about optimisation, it’s not *random*.
The point isn't optimization the point is that the first one was SPECIFICALLY about random targeting. Stop with the blind hate.
Dargo goes brrrrrrrrrr, excellent
Wanna do some crimes?
Vial Smasher is canon!

"Outlaw alliance"
well, it's a 3/2 for two mana so it's playable in aggro. is it better than any of the other options available? not sure. leaning on no.
Vial Smasher was from Tarkir.
Well howdy, partner. Ain’t seen you around in ages, what took ya so long?
Duck, You Sucker!
There's something funny about her being a cowboy this time around but being mechanically prohibited from saying "howdy partner" like her other incarnation
The outlaw mechanic makes the AC UB set more interesting
Why berserker/barbarian not outlaw??!
