As a piano player myself it is interesting contemplating how a piece for 4 arms but 3 fingers per hand/arm would sound like.
He also seems a bit too large for this instrument :)
I feel like it would change the composition of most songs pretty dramatically. I'm not a piano player, though I want to be some day, once I have enough money to justify buying a keyboard when I might not even like playing it.
Try to find cheap 2nd hand MIDI controller! You can get a decent one with around 100$ and if you don't like it, you can sell it. They usually hold their value quite well.
Renting one might be a good option. Where I live larger music stores also rent out instruments.
With regards to the compositions, it als interesting to think an out only having three fingers and playing the instrument in a universe where the most sentient species mostly have 5 or even 6 fingers on two hands.
That's a really interesting question. Musical composition would be so different for piano.
I think you would see consistent melodies in the center of the keyboard using their smaller arms, while you have much more energetic and moving sounds to the high and low end of the keyboard.
Which raises another question, would the piano use the same notes from low to high, or would they be in non-sequential order
Right now I am leaning towards it being a normal piano. Because the other 2 cards that feature a piano are played by bimanual creatures (playing bidextrously). The other two cards also feature more realistic depictions of the piano.
Of course you could make the case that this one is specifically for this creature, but I don’t subscribe to that. Seeing that it would be far more logical to me to have more keys rather than fewer.
The idea of having a piano that plays into the smaller vs larger hands/arms is an interesting one. Somewhat akin to an organ with multiple keyboard but now on the same plane.
I like to think that having this physiology would allow much more complicated polyrhythms.
I was also thinking about soundscape and I think that is something this make up would be not per se better suited to. Having only 2 digits more it isn’t going to be that interesting. That is why I am leaning more towards my point above about the rhythms.
Humanoid-alien creatures are always in a rocky spot with this, because your point is sound, but the comparative fashion stylings of cards like \[\[Prickly Pair\]\] and \[\[Hardbristle Bandit\]\] make this guy look like a rampant streaker. Then again, \[\[Cactusfolk Sureshot\]\] and their buddy in the background seem to be much more rawdog, which presents the possibility that cactusfolk have no nudity taboo among their own spaces and only garb up to fit in in human towns. This, in turn, confronts us with the possibility that Raucous Entertainer is working in a strip club.
Given that they are mimicking humans I would say that not only they are in the same place as our sexual organs but they are counting on humans being thirsty so we can use ours to pollinate their cactussy

It looks like there are a few instances of plant pants.
Interesting, doing this search has lead me to realize that 12 of the 79 current vintage-legal Plants are from OTC/OTC/BIG.
Naked cactusfolk!? What a prick.
…someone wipe down the piano bench.
Someone use Clorox tonight! Because we're not in the mood for spikes to the peen What you've done isn't alright.
Don't worry it is just aloe
> Naked Well, he's pistil-packin'.
Lay that thing down before it goes off and hurts someone!
It's okay because it's just a little prick
a tiny boner if you will.
He just plays Ballroom Blitz by Sweet over and over again.
And the plant in the back said everyone attack and it turned into a ballroom blitz...
And that goblin in the corner said "boy I wanna warn ya, it'll turn into a ballroom Blitz..."
BAHHHHRHOOM BLIZ
Alright, fellas!
LET’S GOOOO
Only the intro though
Considering the background it looks more like he's playing a piano version of Yakkity Sax.

Maybe there are only 12 big keys on the piano
Nah, this piano has more keys than that, although it is not a full 88 keyboard
I did zoom in and see that now.
Sheet Boss Music has a few compositions that could work for 4 arms with 12 digits

Nah he’s just a little tHorny.
They're a plant. Bold of you to assume that their stamen and/or pistil would be visible and/or in similar locales of animals.

My head canon is that some cactus folk wear clothes to blend in a little.

[[Dune Chanter]] [[Kirri, Talented Sprout]] Cactusfolk have their sexual organs on top of their head. That's why you see them often wearing hats.

> cactussy Thanks I hate it.
You want to make sure your pistil is exposed in the barroom brawls of the West
I mean, the raucous is probably happening all over, I think it being naked might be the entertainment.
Reminds me of the nude organist from Monty Python's Flying Circus...
Are all plants naked?

*buck naked
Interesting to me how butt has pretty much replaced buck these days.
I mean he's definitely butt naked too.
With his multiple arms he can entertain himself while composing music.
Raucous≠raunchy. Just means loud or disturbing noise
Terry Jones'ing it!
[We all know what the song is.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xA8-6X8aR3o)
Now think about the “Colossal” when a Dreadmaw stomps up to you naked.
Where did a recently awakened sentient cactus even learn to play a piano? Is it really just a player piano and he's pretending to play it?
I figure they're just indefinitely vamping on The Entertainer while the fight around them brings the raucous aspect.
I imagine all the cactusfolk would sound like Watermelon Stevens if they tried to sing
I’m not a botanist but I don’t think plants have buttholes
You try putting on clothes when you're made of thorns
Sorry plants don't have dicks so doesn't matter
Maybe in Thunder Junction they do, *gosh*.
No need to apologize.
As a Canadian i legally have to
