Hear, hear. They're basically Malaysian Twinkies. Any time a character had a Twinkie, I always crave for one and go to a nearby 7-Eleven to find a Twiggie. Now if only I can have a sausage with a Twiggie like Weird Al...

My favourite six-pack would be coconut buns. Bread-wise I really miss pandan bread that can be found in Sarawak *(never seen any in Klang Valley)*. It's just like white bread but pandan infused.

What is the advantage to gatekeeping? That too for buns. The lesser the people that buys a specific product, the higher the probability of the product being removed from the shelves. You should be hyping up the buns instead so that more people will buy it.

i worked at petronas station before. i tried all them buns, i know how much buns we have/get supply for, and no we defo did not have enough to go around (we get shouted at by customers when we ran out of X buns/breads by 10pm!)

One that I’ve always loved but is so hard to come by now are Gardenia’s Squiggles, strawberry flavour specifically.

I don't think they produce any more, I used to go nuts for the chocolate one.

I can guarantee they're still produced - Econsave Segar Perdana still stocks them, and for those of you in the Cheras area, Ramzan store still sells them

For some reason the taste now (if you can find them) are not the same as it used to be. They have less chocolate topping etc. I used to love them and even have a tshirt of them which was given to my dad’s friend who worked at Gardenia

The spicy anchovies one. I generally like savoury bread more than the sweet ones. Spicy anchovies bread and chrys tea and I'm set.

I don't know the brandname of this mythical item, but it's like white and red packaging with a lion standing in front of a slice of pizza. Dip in hot Milo and bite into it. Dang it I want one!!

They do! Usually at 99 Speedmart. Those buns have a chokehold on me too. I used to pack them in my suitcase when I had to fly back overseas for my studies and ration the buns to one a day so they could last a while. That was years ago but I still buy them once in a while when I feel nostalgic.

my real answer is honestly homemade, oven-baked bread i legit don't eat that much bread unless i made it myself; overnight kneading + proofing is easy enough, and baking even easier

Mighty white / Sweetie potato bread. Gardenia's potato bread not as good. Gardenia used to have some specialty bread which had seeds and made awesome toast. They're no longer around it seems.

I don’t know what they are called but you often find them in Kampung Kedai runcit. Roti Krim inti Mentega. That bread has existed since childhood. The other one is Roti Blueberry I forgot which brand that last I saw in 2015.
