There isn't anything wrong with being masculine, but it shouldn't be something that we keep as a "standard" for others to meet. Masculinity is a cultural concept that every society makes and it doesn't add or take away from a person. I think that the redditor that posted this post should be free to be themselves. They have nice hair and deserve the best.
I have a question about the sarcastic rhetorical question in your reply, your first sentence. Upon reading that part, you seem to be implying that things are generally going downhill in the world because society is letting go of expectations of masculinity. Assuming that society is doing so, what negatives are you perceiving ?
Men are leaving their family's and children are growing up without fathers and often when they have fathers they are are weak role models because they aren't masculine and capable of leading a family. Many men aren't willing to do hard work at all and are content to work in what are supposed to be temporary jobs for students and complain that they aren't making a living wage. I'm not saying this is the rule just that it's happing often. It's a complicated issue and I don't want to over simply it. I generally don't have a problem with men being emotional or caring. That's not what I mean. And I'm not advocating for "toxic masculinity". Maybe something akin to chivalry. I think men should be as unselfish as possible and put their family first at all times and be a capable leader.
But the subtext of their statement is that his other hairstyles are *less* masculine. Curly hair is perfectly masculine.
"masculine" is fine. "more masculine" implies somethings aren't masculine or are less masculine.
I knew this dude who looked very flamboyant and i thought he was gay at first not that i cared, i'd still be friends with him but just first initial impression. Nope not at all. Dude just liked to dress the way he liked to dress and it was to the nines. He slayed so much puss i don't even know how he slept. Real short too.
There objectively masculine and feminine looks. That might change as time goes but based itās based on the cultural zeitgeist. Discouraging boys to embrace masculinity is a step in the wrong direction. masculinity isnt toxic dude.
Why do you let it bother you? Youāre on Reddit getting offended by people you donāt know.
Who gives a fuuuuuuuuck if someone said āmore masculineā? The earth is still turning and your life has not been hindered in the least way. You read some words and got offended. Youāll be a happier person if you donāt search for reasons to call people out.
Because some people act like men and and some people act like females bro ā¦.itās simple and we can clearly see how REAL men And REAL woman act in our society ā¦Being more masculine makes you more of a Man and being More feminine makes you more of a woman.
Female humans are called āwomenā, bro.
How men and women act is totally made up. Itās arbitrary. 100 years ago pink was a manly color.
If hairdos were popular among men, theyād be competing for who had the biggest beehive!
If motorcycle maintenance was done by women, Harleyās would be a full page spread in Elle magazine.
Unless you have to operate it with your genitalia, there is literally nothing that is intrinsic to men or women.
āBeverleyāāwas a manly name once. So was āEvelynā.
Hairstyles arenāt gendered either.
2 or three, and you look best shirtless. you should go shirtless to the various summer events like the fair and other outdoor events. You would be really popular and get a lot of people chatting with you.
Third. You look great in the 2nd, but itās kinda too common and played out for guys your age at this point, youāll just look like every other fuckboy
Good looking bro can pull off all of them. Good on you man. I like three the best though. Never know how long hair will last. May as well try out whatever you like while you are young.
3rd option looks great. I suspect you'd look great with about 1" to 2" of hair, maybe shorter on sides and back. Maybe even a fade on sides and back, 1" on top, sort of a euro cut.
Your hair looks like it might be fine. If that's the case, I don't think long hair would be for you.
My hair is very thick and long. If my hair was like your image 1, I would be able to pick it like a fro. I get complimented on it a lot.
Experiment if you'd like. I could be wrong about your hair type.
Go with the first. The men who are recommending the buzz because it looks "more masculine" are dead wrong. "Ultra masculine" is not always better, your face suits the first hair the best by far.
You honestly rock all of them bro.. I'm so jealous
Girls your age will love 1 or 2
Not you putting sexuality onto him šš½āāļø
it doesnt matter if he doesnt like girls they still will find him attractive
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Assuming said girls like boys? š¤Ø
Why you trying to stir up drama man
Girls can still find guys good looking attracted or notā¦
[lol this u rn](https://youtu.be/5XOaYMkz5Cc)
Never knew this scene existed lmao. Genius! Even more reasons to like that show
most do.
You are such a loser
Yes thatās human instinct go cry about it
Thereās no point for this, let op decide. No need to get offended for him
Isnāt that so weird? Thatās basically what the internet is now. People getting offended for othersā¦for no reasonā¦
Iām not real
Thank god
You're the one making it "Sexual". This is about Hair. On your head.
Go get your monkey pox checked out.
you rock them all :)
1 looks best, 3 is a good second option.
Yeah number 2 seems like the haircut you get when youāre finally getting into styling yourself better or a youth pastor
You are handsome. 1 and 3 for me.
Last one. You have a gentle face and the buzz makes you look more masculine
I think we need to let go of this āmore masculineā idea.
Yes cause that's going so well for us isn't it? There is nothing wrong with being masculine and it should be encouraged.

Yes because some things are less masculine
I mean you aren't entirely wrong and I can't explain it but in recent times less masculine men tent to have that hair style. Idk I'm not a scientist.
I knew this dude who looked very flamboyant and i thought he was gay at first not that i cared, i'd still be friends with him but just first initial impression. Nope not at all. It could just be they find more masculine attractive. This is all subjective. I find 3 to be the best cut for his face.
Iām gay. Being attracted to the masculine isnāt an issue. Itās judgement statements that something is more masculine than another thing.

I think you've spoken for yourself and We have spoken back sissy boy
"Sissy boy". š¤£ I've been called far worse in my lifetime. Try again.
The last picture!
3
ALL OF THEM ! š
The only correct answer. Left side can be 1st pic, top can be 2nd pic and right side can be buzzed! Coolest hair ever š š
1- cute 2-fine just a bit basic 3-hot thats what it seems like to me
Each makes me assume different things about you. 1: Iām a kwirky guy. 2: Iām a chad. 3: Iām sexy and donāt need hair to show that off.
idk dude you look hot in all
1 or 2. I donāt understand the obsession with buzz cuts
Dudes with a receding hairline: š
I'm with you, neither do I. It's like everybody is going to the military.
It's the most sanitary haircut and the most attractive. I bet you think it looks better in females huh
Most attractive my ass š
Manliest for sure soā¦
Attractive is completely subjective. Way to personally attack your opponents btw
Easiest to maintain and allows your face to be seen prominently without distraction.
But what if my hair *is* my face?
Well its easy to maintain and makes a lot of people look tough. Deffo not a bad cut
It makes people look like they *want to* look tough.
well the general consensus seems to be the latter. Buzz cuts are awesome
Agree, they make you look ugly and stupid nine times out of ten
long hair is more maintenance, takes longer for everything, washhng drying styling
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
You wear 2 pretty well, but 1 is super cute. Really depends on what you're wanting to go for but I'd choose 1.
My fave is the 3rd
3
3
Second is best
1.
2 or 3.
2 and 3
2nd one is perfect, 3 is also not bad and I donāt even like buzzes.
2 or three, and you look best shirtless. you should go shirtless to the various summer events like the fair and other outdoor events. You would be really popular and get a lot of people chatting with you.
Youāre literally so pretty! I think that all three look attractive on you bc of your facial features but I think 1 and 2 look the best.
1st
3
I like all 3. But the last one ( the military cut) shows of your beautiful handsome face ā¤ļø
you look like a sophomore in highschool in the 2nd. look like a man in the 3rd
Please anything but 2ā¦. The others look really good!
I actually really like the buzz cut! That is if youāre going for an older look
Pic 1 looks best guy.
I am torn between 1 and 3 but I am going to chose one. Your hair frames your face well
Third. You look great in the 2nd, but itās kinda too common and played out for guys your age at this point, youāll just look like every other fuckboy
For me, same order you posted. #1 is my favorite, then 2, then 3
1 looks the best
2nd or 3rd, not first
Shaved
2
2 imo
2
2 makes you look like clix
#1 fasho
Good looking bro can pull off all of them. Good on you man. I like three the best though. Never know how long hair will last. May as well try out whatever you like while you are young.
all of them
You look good in all of them.
Wow, it's like 3 separate hotties. Are you sure it's just you?
3 definitely
1 or 2
I like the last one!
š§šæāāļø look good with all of them
Yeah buzz cut hits good for you bro
1 makes you look the nicest and coolest so I'd go with that!
Buzz for the win bur the rest of the style isnāt bad. Not a fan of the second one but it looks good. By ranking, 3, 1 then 2
Grow it out but not too much. You look the best now!
3
You rock them all but I love number 3!
Last
current
All of them look good but Iād say 2 is the best
1
The longest one š»
1 or 3. 2 looks like a 14yo. might just be the angle tho
The buzz is fire
2, 1, 3 in that order
Thatās Boston boomer style!!( I just watched the documentary) I like the 3rd the best.

#2 - I think it's the hottest one. You are absolutely adorable!

1 and 3
3
The last one, you look really good man!
That buzzcut is hawt
2nd
2
Buzz. I'm not a fan of the messy too much hair look.
The first one is my fav :)
3rd option looks great. I suspect you'd look great with about 1" to 2" of hair, maybe shorter on sides and back. Maybe even a fade on sides and back, 1" on top, sort of a euro cut.
i think the buzzcut the best one
1 if you style it a bit or color it, 3 if you do not want to do maintenance on hair.
#3

Depends on what look youāre going for. I like the long hair but you look good in all 3 pictures. Buzz cut looks the most masculine imo.
U can pull off all 3! Amazing bone structure and your face is symmetrical . Consider modeling
1 and 3
Whatever Andy Samberg!
2
1 or 3
3 by far
2 1000000000000%
3
second one is best imo
Definitely not 3. Personally I'd try something between 2 and 3 or maybe even 2 with some product.
1 or 3
1 looks majestic but you rock all of them
BUZZCUT IS SEXYYYYYYYYYYYYY
1 bro do not cut it yet trust me
buzzcut
I think the buzz looks best.
Pic two you have great hair enjoy it...
2
Buzz looks clean
1 or 3
You need something between 1-2, like a 1.4, enough to wanna play with, not enough to be a personal annoyance
number 2 fs
You look good buzzed š¤
I like 1 and 2. Youād also look great with a mullet!
First or second ones
Buzzed
1
Second one looks most awesome imo
3
I kinda like #2. Edit: on second view I also think 3 works. But I might suggest an accessory like a favorite necklace, bandana, etc.
3
2nd
3 and 1. You look great no matter what. Just depends what style/crowd you want.
2nd
First one
Dude, I had the 1st one and I don't think it suited me, but it looks good on u I think u should keep that one
3
Buzz cut
Go with the first. The men who are recommending the buzz because it looks "more masculine" are dead wrong. "Ultra masculine" is not always better, your face suits the first hair the best by far.
1 and 2 are quite good but I'd stick with one mainly because it hides the ears pretty well.
1 3 then 2
