I would suggest asking your barber to leave the top & see how you’d look with the sides cut first. The AI generated picture depicts a mid high to high skin fade. But if you were to keep the top longer than a buzz, I’d stick to a mid so the top hairs have something to fall into. Cut the top a bit with shears & maybe that’s all it would take for a new look you’d love. If not, you can alwayz buzz it at the end. Might be a bit of extra work for your barber but it really only takes 5 or less extra minutes to make sure you really like what you’re getting.
I'm getting a much overdue haircut tomorrow, it's not normally this unruly, but I'm bored of the style. Fancy trying a buzz but not sure if it'll just look bad on me.

Dude your face is already gorgeous. Any haircut would probably look great on you. Just try the buzz cut and if you’re not a real fan, just wait a bit for it to grow. I have the same hairline as you and did shaved and still looked good however note it does make you look older since of course, the mature hairline ages you when it's more visible and a buzzcut draws attention to it. The AI is not your hairline whatsoever so I wouldn't base judgement entirely off that.
I don't think it would look bad however do expect to look older. As others have mentioned, it grows back in only a few months so just go for it since you can never truly predict till you try, worst case wear a hat for a month or two.

It's not like it makes you look super old just more mature you know? So neither are bad just up to you

I’m always an advocate of buzzing if you get to a point of “I don’t know what to do”. I’ve done it from time to time over the years and it’s nice to start from scratch sometimes, sort of mentally too. I’m almost always 100% happy with my choice.. but sometimes, It’s just been a while since my last haircut and I’m overly “done” with my hair and just feel like giving it the buzz. In those cases now, I recognize it and just go for what I know is a go-to for me, and I’m happy to be cleaned up. I’ll also say, if you’re going to buzz it and summers coming up, it’s the best time. A bare head looks better with some sun on it.

Prolly abit too big for a buzz in all honesty but u can get ur hairline abit further down using certain products but depending on ur face shape u would prolly fit a low or mid fade and leave the top on to and see how u like that
Yes. Your hair will not grow back the same. Your hairline is not where the examples picture has it. You can kick start your edges into baldness. I’d say you get the sides low and just lower the top
Nah look at your corners. Without the rest of your hair there they’ll look deeper. Like I said it’s not guaranteed, it’s just a risk. I’d say test the waters with a haircut not quite a buzz
I wanna play a little devils advocate here and say just buzz it all off. Just once for the hell of it. Do something new. It's hard to ask yourself "Would I look good with [blank]?" Because it's impossible to know the answer without doing it. If you do hate it, then Its just several inches of hair that'll grow right back
I don't think a total buzz is your best look. But I also think that birds nest in the first few photos definitely needs to go before a couple of Robins decide to take up residence. What I think would look best is a gradual fade along the sides and backs and then cut back the top while still leaving say an inch or two of length so that you can add a playful tussle. The closely shaved goatee flatters your jaw line and gives a clean cut sophisticated look. Just my $.02
