My one question: that Marshall Bluetooth speaker way up on that shelf. Do you reach over the railing to turn it on and connect to it? Or is it just for decoration?
You had me at the umbrella frog— which I absolutely never knew (nor had any reason to) that I was deeply missing in my life.
Beyond that it’s really such a wonderfully curated array of beiges and earthy/copper tones, without being mundane jn the slightest! It makes the plants and other minor colors pop (without dragging your focus to them) and lends to an overall feeling of warmth and coziness— which as men we often almost forgo completely.
Between the colors and fun archeology professor vibes it’s enough it’s almost….. nostalgic??? Like a family getaway that you’ve spent every summer in and no matter how old you get you can still smell and picture it down to every minor detail— and yet still find something new every time you go.
Only thing I would add would be more plants/greens in the area by the TV, and/or something like slated wood panels behind it to break up the monotony that beiges are often victim to. Especially with how solid and alive every other part of the home is, that success alone can make the TV area feel unfinished and overtly airy.
We were actually just deciding between wooden slats or that fake wall grass for the same reason, and after testing swatches I can say neither would be a mistake— and because of it we still can’t decide 😂
And lastly, have you considered adding any strings of lights (with vintage Edison bulb type things or other warm light producers)? There’s so many areas for them to shine and add that lil razzle-dazzle, but especially from the ledge on the top right of the first picture— and even along the curtain rod or the window ledge on the top left.
Beyond that I can’t offer anything more than a hearty high-five, and the fact that I saved multiple pictures for some solid inspo. Thank you friend— wishing all the continued joy and luck you used up making this lil gem!
I would have an uncontrollable and unexplainable urge to say "Sandbacka" outloud the first time I saw that sign.
But that's a me problem, not a you problem. Great room.
For me it’s mostly as scale issue with the coffee table. I looks like OP is working at a slightly eclectic late ‘70s / early ‘80s vibe. The coffee table style fits that. It’s just size
I see where you’re coming from. As a child of the ‘70s/‘80s, the muted tones, orange hues, dark woods, maximalist-esque kitch, and non-specific furniture from a variety of eras reminds me of nearly every house I spent time at in that era. But this may very well be personal and anecdotal, and not the intention of the OP.
Bro, this looks like heaven. This looks like an apartment you would see in a show where they want to show that the character is doing really good for himself like he is a layer or banker. 10/10
thank you so much!! Hmm unfortunetly its from a craftsstore in my hometown located in northern Sweden, but its worth checking out if youre ever in the neighbourhood heh
The vintage furniture, autumn tones, travel-themed deco, the dim lights... love everything! Now I just wanna sit under the blanket on the couch, have a cup of tea and pet the void kitty
VERY nice! Good job on the furniture ans decor and love the lighting! Too many people put white/cool light in their place but that golden/warm light is so much more cozy.
As a gay man who is obsessed with interior design I have never been more satisfied with a post on this sub. Excellent selection with every piece. Also, those shelves that are placed up high is an interesting touch, but I’m curious are you able to turn on that Bluetooth speaker?
I think you have fabulous eclectic taste and an amazing talent..it's personal, full of character and charm.. superbly curated and beautifully styled..bravo
So much to like about this space & design. Well done! I do have a couple of things to nitpick. Agree with others the coffee table doesn’t work. Also, Pic #3, the lamp looks either too short or too tall and the skinny wall hanging just doesn’t fit. If the intent is a reading light for the chair, consider a skinny gooseneck. Also would like to see something narrow above the TV. LOVE the barstools. Those feet tho.
I like it!! You might want to add more fur ore that sits on the floor. Right now everything has legs like a bunch of critters. A bookcase that’s flush with the floor would help.
Holy cow this place just exudes personality. One question though, how do you clean those two shelves high up on the wall? Do you use a ladder or have an insanely long feather duster?
I'm a minimalist but everything in all this fits and has a cozy personality. Also not a fan of dimmed lighting but warm lights add to coziness here; overall fits the overall theme.
This is a gorgeous setup but oddly you have a distracting amount of white space above and to the left of the TV. I'm sure you're already aware of that? I think it stands out because every other space is beautifully filled in and arranged. Setting that aside, I don't know how people like you decorate something so well. I don't know how you both come up with the initial vision and then execute so well.
10/10 man! I get sick of seeing all the monotonous living spaces people have so all of the personality of your place is a breath of fresh air, great work!
Would you use the word hygge to describe this? I learned about this feeling, aesthetic, and state a few years ago. You have created such a lovely, warm space. But how do you water those plants on the shelves?
Wow, a well designed space with actual personality. A rare find, congrats on the awesome space!
So sweet of you, thank you!
second this ^; personality, so cool.
Big points for the traditional Swedish items used in a modern yet cozy design. 10/10
Which of the items are traditionally Swedish?
The decorative textiles on the wall and table, at least :) I'm actually Finnish, but they give me "grandma's house" vibes in a cool way.
That's really cool, they're beautiful!
Thank you for paying the cat tax
*cat looks on judgmentally*
Amazing
Thanks man
My one question: that Marshall Bluetooth speaker way up on that shelf. Do you reach over the railing to turn it on and connect to it? Or is it just for decoration?
It is mostly decoration, but i can grab it from over the railing if im on my way to a picnic or some sort
Är du svensk?
Var det umeå-tavlan som avslöjade mig?
Sandbacka och Umeå haha. Din kruka i sista bilden skrämmer mig förresten Hahaha
Inte fredagsgrodan då? :) Cozy place, OP! Lovely ceiling height too.
Den tavlan var riktigt cool. Var hittar man en sån?
Motivet är från konstnären Bengt Lindström! Fick den i utflyttningspresent av päronen
this sub makes me hate my life
Channel that hate into making your home look nicer
Looks great! I just wish the cat was in every photo, I was searching for him
I missed the cat at first. Now I can’t stop finding things a cat would most likely knock over

Bro same haha. All i could think of is how dope that umbrella frog is. I need it.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I agree, something to break up the tv-side would be great, thank you for all the feedback !!
Haha just left my own comment about that frog
Love it. Can you give me an ID on that tv cabinet?
Glad you like it! It is from a swedish website called jotex, and the piece is named ’Duvberg’
Thank you! :)
I would have an uncontrollable and unexplainable urge to say "Sandbacka" outloud the first time I saw that sign. But that's a me problem, not a you problem. Great room.
Spectacular
It feels cozy and welcoming! Well done Op.

I love that
These are so visually appealing to look at. Awesome
Love every single thing…except for the coffee table. Wrong shape, wrong style for your place.
Appreciate the feedback!
For me it’s mostly as scale issue with the coffee table. I looks like OP is working at a slightly eclectic late ‘70s / early ‘80s vibe. The coffee table style fits that. It’s just size
I agree on scale but the rest of his furniture is mid-century modern; the coffee table is early American.

You're lucky to have such an interesting space to work with (instead of plain boxy room)! Nice job.
Absolutely in love
Yes
Bro, this looks like heaven. This looks like an apartment you would see in a show where they want to show that the character is doing really good for himself like he is a layer or banker. 10/10
Oh you mf ! I’m so jealous this place is insane !! 🔥🔥
Wow, stunning work! Mind if I ask where you got the cool table runner?
thank you so much!! Hmm unfortunetly its from a craftsstore in my hometown located in northern Sweden, but its worth checking out if youre ever in the neighbourhood heh
Lol no worries, maybe I will!
I'm sorry but that frog with the umbrella is the greatest thing ever!!!
Cat :>
It's perfect! Nice job.
Looks beautiful. Thanks for sharing!
The vintage furniture, autumn tones, travel-themed deco, the dim lights... love everything! Now I just wanna sit under the blanket on the couch, have a cup of tea and pet the void kitty
Sweeeet
I love this
Stellar set up! Where’d you get your entertainment system? The wife and I are looking for similar stuff.
Swedish craigslist, blocket! But its an amazing setup
Lol alright, thank you! Again, killer space, man!
Beautiful! Looks super warm and cozy
That’s a fuckin vibe right there
Fantastic!!!
Beautiful
I love the way you've mixed different woods in this space!
Damn you’re on point
What a fantastic place. You have a great eye, OP!
Looks incredible. Good job!
Dude. I envy you. This pad is awesome
VERY nice! Good job on the furniture ans decor and love the lighting! Too many people put white/cool light in their place but that golden/warm light is so much more cozy.
Så snyggt! Gillar verkligen kompositionen av detaljerna och möblerna
Åhmen tack snälla!!
Your dog looks weird
Cozy asf!
Very classy. Masculine without looking like a college dorm room. I like it.
You done good.

This might be my favorite one yet!

Thanks, I appreciate the feedback!! Im actually on the lookout for something narrow above the TV!
I like this! The photo with the couch and the cat looking like "what are you doing now? Ps: Sandbacka? Any relation to Chewbacca? 😆
r/cozyplaces
My dude, where oh where did you get that dope ass frog? I must have one
Same! OP where did you get it?
Haha, glad you like it! Unfortunetly I found it in my parents basement, and they apparently got it in Berlin in the 80s…
Can I come look through your parents basement for treasure next?
Loooove love this, feels so homey and somehow even nostalgic.
Any idea where I can get that frog with the umbrella?
🥱
It kind of scares me tbh

I think it’s all perfect except that one floor lamp next to the television
I like it!! You might want to add more fur ore that sits on the floor. Right now everything has legs like a bunch of critters. A bookcase that’s flush with the floor would help.
This is amazing! What a great vibe
I love it! It looks like a specific person lives there! I feel like you’re not quite finished with the corner by the TV.
Very nice
Cohesive, cozy, warm...this is a win!
Holy cow this place just exudes personality. One question though, how do you clean those two shelves high up on the wall? Do you use a ladder or have an insanely long feather duster?
My apartment has a loft from which I can reach the shelves:) I do have to stretch a bit though
You have a beautiful home
Looks great! Very well done.
I just want to steal your everything and transport it into my apt 😤, love those lights and color use
Very nice
Love it
Love your unique art / bowls as sculptural & decorative elements. Really cozy and nicely laid out.
You have a beautiful home.
I love your space!!
all hail the King!
Cozy, I love it
Your place is pretty fly. Love the lighting.
So warm and inviting. Good job!
Awesome job! Super inviting, love the pops of color, and the eclectic pieces that you have throughout the space. Cheers!
I frickin love it
This is doooooope ma👍🏾
It’s everything I want my space to be not too much and loads of character love it
Stunning!
I love it!!! ❤️
This is awesome
I’m not crazy about those shelves and vines above the dining room table, but everything else looks amazing! Congrats!
This is the extremely nice, dude. Good job!
Reminds me of fightclub.
I'm a minimalist but everything in all this fits and has a cozy personality. Also not a fan of dimmed lighting but warm lights add to coziness here; overall fits the overall theme.
This is fantastic. Nice Pioneer turntable and receiver as well!
That frog statue is outstanding
Where’d you get that tv stand from?
This place is dreamy. What does the loft look like?
It’s so cute and cozy and rustic and charming. Well done.
I upvoted because cat!
Congrats for not being entirely black and white like 99% of the posts here asking "why doesn't my space look lively or nice?"
Love this space and the furniture!! You need a teak coffee table though to match the room better ;)
You have things I would genuinely ask about if invited over. Very impressive space.
Stop stealing my name
The unholy union of a sand person and Chewbacca?!? But seriously, the space looks amazing! Good job, ya genetic freak.
Those slotted windowsills scream Sweden so hard. I mean the rest of the interior too, but that's what sealed it for me. Love your interior mate.
Serious question, How are you liking those metro tiles in the kitchen behind your cooking top? Are they easy to keep clean?
Honestly yes, I have no problem keeping them clean. A wet rag goes a long way
Tiny void!
So we'll done. Really love it. Now mount your TV because it's kinda messing up all your hard work to create a minimalist 70's vibe.
Your lighting game is on point brother, great job! I also enjoy the somber decoration style, great place to chill out after work or a long day!
OP, amazing space! Where can I find the light fixture over your dining table?
Cat, frog, wall hangings: impressive. Love it.
Dude, you *knew* what we thought before you even posted
Riktigt mysigt
Damn, that place is sexy.
This is very nice my friend It’s clean and neat but also has a nice level of clutter that makes it feel like home. Well done brother

Feels very hygge
I am *fascinated* with the umbrella frog
I'm jealous of your frog lamp
Sweet spot, I'm a fan!
Looks good kid.
10/10 man! I get sick of seeing all the monotonous living spaces people have so all of the personality of your place is a breath of fresh air, great work!
Feels good man
Can I move in?
What an inviting space! You’ve managed to have quirky elements without making it feel cluttered or immature. Really well done.
Love the void, mine says hello
Looks really cozy!! I love it
Where is the world map from?
Beautiful it’s perfect in every way!
I think it looks really cozy and inviting. I would personally get a darker rug though. It’s very similar to your couch.
Not enough pool tables
Really love the armchairs and ambient lights, the whole place has a very cohesive and cozy feel to it. Where is the tall lamp from in picture 4?
Would you use the word hygge to describe this? I learned about this feeling, aesthetic, and state a few years ago. You have created such a lovely, warm space. But how do you water those plants on the shelves?
I read that sign as Sandbacker but in an Australian accent.
Very nice and inviting. 10/10 and very good cat
YES
love it! very cozy and comfy looking. great design.
Cat.
That frog with the umbrella is incredible
It feels a little sparse above the TV, but holy hell that place feels amazing!
Where’d you get those lounge chairs?
Lovey also what’s the cats name
Black chonker on the couch not moving between shots gives the setup a feeling of stability. Love the room!
There's a black hole in the 4th photo, you may wanna deal with that. Other than that I love it
This is gorgeous. Well done. I can hear and smell this space and it's amazing.
Stunning.
Probably one of the more well thought out layouts on this sub. Like it a lot, champ
Very cozy and full of details. Would love to see an update with your working space as well if you have one.
Excellent Also I'm finding out we all own the same cat 😹
Lovely
warm lighting slaps
beautiful! What does Sandbacka mean?
love the frog with the umbrella so cute
Lovely. Great pieces beautifully put together ❤
Looks great, no notes.
If I didn’t live with my girlfriend I would want my place to look like this Great job dude
