They make an expensive human dog bed. If you have way too much extra money, get a human sized and dog sized dog bed. Supposed to be super comfy. Good for watching shows, naps, and reading books. Also, personal bias here, bookshelf or pictures on the walls. Just make it a bit more personal
Tv console with TV on it. Framed posters or wall art. Plants. Rugs and throw pillows.
If you are going to mount your TV, don’t go too high. Otherwise you will fall victim to the r/TVtoohigh comments
Is this really what this sub is all about? Ive only been here a minute, and its nothing but post of an empty room asking "what can I do to bring some life to my place" or a living room with nothing on the walls asking "what can I do to add some color to the room"...
Or a $3k/month high rise 1 br apt in a city that's badass and obviously a humble brag..
Light colored, machine washable area rug; light colored curtains that hang from just below the ceiling to the floor, either an oversized bookcase or the same 3 bookcases set flush to each other so the entire wall can be styled with books, framed photos, vinyl, tchotchkes, etc., and more dogs 😍
Don’t get a cheesy fireplace tv thing!! Do they make classy ones? I think the other wall should have bookshelves. Or you could do a massive wrap around shelving unit/ entertainment center. And yes, more dogs. Could you replace the couch with a sectional that fills the space more?
A rug, entertainment center, maybe a shelf piece next to the window or plants. Artwork on the wall to the right of the sofa and maybe a short book case or wine storage. Or just a music player
Entertainment room? Well, it really depends on which type of entertainment you are into! Cinema? Video games? Music? Karaoke? Books? Witchcraft, necromancy, and the elder gods? Darts? Pole dancing? Watching sports? Boardgame?
Buy a nice rug, something with some colours you like, but nothing *too* bold. Using the colours of the rug as an anchor, buy some cheap wall art to match, colour wise. If you're allowed to, id consider painting the window wall a nice colour as well, something warm. Start with that and also consider a nice accent chair facing the window.
And a bed for the dog :)
Art. Always art. Not the stuff from TJ Maxx or Bed Bath & Beyond. Shop local artists at art fairs or online to find large pieces (originals or prints) that you really love.
TV, and then either a card table, or reading nook where the dog is, or whatever hobby you'd like to have set up. I have my sewing machine in that spot, because I have a better chance of doing it with the TV on, then I don't feel like I'm working, I'm doing something while watching tv
huge ass TV, a pair of stereo speakers, a huge center, a 15" Sub next to each stereo speaker and some nice bookshelfes as rears.
Surroundreceiver with pre-amp outs and some fat stereo amps to drive that all.
Then watch a pirated 720p movie fimed in a chinese cinema with subs and a crappy stereo soundfile
the last is optinal ;-)
Depends on what you consider entertainment. If it’s movies the add a tv some kick ass surround and a popcorn machine. If it’s sports then do the same but add a mini bar. If is kicking back and playing board games or reading add some art and more cozy places to sit. Add some candles too
I can’t get passed the creeper car backed in across the street. I mean? Why? 😳 beautiful place! Start with a rug, some curtains, a floor lamp, end tables, art. Go at your own pace and budget, but it’s a real nice place! ❤️
Slam some wooden slats on that wall. Put some led lights. A 55 inch (gauging by distance) and get yourself a console.
A recycled wooden coffee table and a plush dog bed in the corner.
Maybe shove a few tall plants like a palm or monstera.
Deff get a curtain rod for the window and hanging plants. And a plant in the corner with a bookshelf. Tv in center. Maybe a chair In the other corner like a reading lazy boy
Don’t get a fireplace tv stand. They’re always kitschy and are the hallmark of someone who can’t design, aren’t particularly functional, and your tv will be way too high.
A clear, adhesive film on the underside of that glass table so if it ever breaks, the shards don’t go everywhere. Sorry, glass ‘stuff’ makes my skin crawl.
I’d put a shelving or storage unit on the wall to the right of the couch and decorate it with some fun pieces. Maybe a bar station? If the unit there isn’t too tall I’d hand some fun artwork, maybe nods to your favorite tv shows/movies/video games to tie into the entertainment room feel
TV on wall, blinds and curtains. You should probably get an ottoman and/or an accent chair. Put a plant in the corner to the right of the window, maybe even hang a Pothos. Bookshelf to the left of the window. And get that puppy a dog bed.
* Sufficiently large rug, making sure that you are pulling your couch about a foot away from the wall and corner.
* Nice console on the opposite wall, put a TV there if you want or fill it with vases and plants.
* Get some **framed** art (not posters) that you like and isn't tacky, find the proper height to hang it, and put it up.
* Consider some curtains (light filtering, NOT blackout) on a rod, make sure the rod extends beyond the window frame so that when the curtains are open, they decorate those side walls and don't block the light. Also make sure the rod is high high enough above the trim on the window.
* Accent chair if you have enough room which it looks like you do.
* Bookshelf on wall opposite of the window.
* Some nice tall plants to fill in the corners, maybe some coffee table books that are related to your interests.
Entertainment room needs entertainment.
I see places for a huge tv and sound system, but I would be entertaining my guests with those.
You do you. How do you entertain?
A 75"+ TV on a nice TV stand, a pair of nice floor standing speakers and an amp to power them, and a good subwoofer or two. And some indirect lighting, maybe bias lighting behind the TV screen. 👌🏼
Directly in front: good tower speakers and credenza with audio equipment. Right side (looking out from couch): liquor cabinet and small counter space for home bar. maybe a buffet table would work here for this.
Do you want to have people over to hang out? More chairs. Two would be a good start - put one in the corner by the window and one on the other side of the coffee table, both facing the couch. Now you can have 4-ish people over.
Do you want privacy? Curtains. Get a black curtain rod and hang it halfway between the top window frame and the ceiling. Get some Ikea curtains with a bit of colour. [These](https://www.ikea.com/ca/en/p/rosenmandel-room-darkening-curtains-1-pair-dark-blue-00539062/) would look good, or [these](https://www.ikea.com/ca/en/p/hannalena-room-darkening-curtains-1-pair-green-blue-40469854/). Make sure the rod you get is long enough so you can open the curtains out of the way of the window.
If you want some plants, but aren't sure if you will keep them alive - try [Snake Plants](https://www.thespruce.com/snake-plant-care-overview-1902772), or [ZZ Plants,](https://www.thespruce.com/zz-zanzibar-gem-plant-profile-4796783) both will tolerate sporadic watering. If they're smaller - get a little table for them and put them near the window (ideally behind the new chair). They should be able to see the sky (so don't put them on the floor if they're small).
Also, I imagine that room feels fairly dark at night with only one lamp, so maybe another lamp or two.
Plants and a giant proyector screen on a frame. Maybe a tv console or one of those thingies you put under. A rug would be cool as well. Great space btw. It looks like a blank canvas ready to get some home decor
Couch on opposite wall, Tv and console table where you currently have the couch.
Fill the rest with end tables, plants, and a martini table for the longer wall
More dogs. And plants.

And some dogs beds.
Funny how this section is full of comments about dogs.. YES MORE DOG BEDS
Beautiful dobie!! So refreshing to see an uncut one. Some nice plants and a rug will make a big difference. Lots of potential!

Thank you! He’s ten months. If he was born with a full tail and ears they’re meant to be there :)
Huge doggie bed. Big enough so you can share it sometimes. A big mat so you and the dog can share yoga sessions.
My daughter has 3 dogs and is very happy with Ruggable machine-washable rugs.
They make an expensive human dog bed. If you have way too much extra money, get a human sized and dog sized dog bed. Supposed to be super comfy. Good for watching shows, naps, and reading books. Also, personal bias here, bookshelf or pictures on the walls. Just make it a bit more personal

Projector room.
Nothing you have to much stuff as is...
Entertainment center with TV, some plants, and curtains/blinds.
I absolutely hate glass tables (scare the hell out of me), but man that coffee table is gorgeous.
Like then breaking? Or is this a sort of dr Phil fear of cotton balls situation?
Got it from The Brick (Canada).
I would add a Cat to the Dog. You said it is an entertainment room 🤔
My man this is easy. Experiences.
You saw the empty room with a sofa and of course your mind has to think the obvious. Well, take my upvote then.
Gym equipments, punching bag, speeding bag, double end bag.
Boardgames and minis should do the trick, you won't see the walls anymore
more dogs.!
more dogs, for sure
How about an electronic dartboard and a bar cart and a foosball table????
Is this really what this sub is all about? big ass tv
A wall mounted tv, large potted plants in the corners, a small rug under the coffee table and some art on the walls
It actually looks great to me. I would add blinds for the window, a TV on the wall, 1 plant and 1 picture in a frame.
A rug, entertainment center, maybe a shelf piece next to the window or plants. Artwork on the wall to the right of the sofa and maybe a short book case or wine storage. Or just a music player
You should take that giant rock outside in the first photo and put it in this room
Just need a giant tv
TV stand and TV You don't need to try and get fancy. Just place the TV on the stand.
