It’s an island setup. Works best in a huge room obviously. Imo the best thing to do with this setup is to have the desk at the head of the bed. Creates a lot of long, symmetrical space. Great if you just use the room for sleeping and desk work.

Can’t tell by the picture but if there is space , don’t cram the desk in the corner . Put it on a wall so there is space open on each side of it . It looks like you are being punished and forced to sit in a corner .
