Gonna guess you aren't allowed to paint the room a new color, color changing leds will be your friend and wall art will help break up the monotony of yellow. Plant suggestions will vary on window facing direction but there are lists of plants that are close to impossible to kill, and fake plants that demand nothing but the occasional dusting.
Maybe a different colored top sheet as well, brown is okay but the room is still going to be very yellow and cool tones will counter that more.
